We had such a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful, just as pictured, and the staff was extremely helpful in assisting with scheduling tours and offering suggestions. We saw toucans and macaws, and a sloth every night! The pool and amenities were amazing and we loved every minute of our stay!

This home is spacious! Family of 8 traveling to the Manuel Antonio area. Jorge, concierge, stayed closely in touch with us our day of arrival and met us at the home upon our arrival! He texted us helpful pictures of exactly where to turn to access the neighborhood. It's not that far off the main road at all. He reviewed everything upon arrival and was easily reached by phone call or text should you need anything. Never had to wait for a response! He gave wonderful recommendations and went out of his way to make sure we were all comfortable and well taken care of. I felt like he was an excellent resource and it felt like we had a local "friend" in the area! We all enjoyed the pool every evening and may I highly suggest getting chef services to come and cook a meal for you! We all agreed it was one of the best meals we ever had! I believe the chef's name was Mangata and "WOW" what a marvelous meal!!!! Hazel or Jorge could arrange for you and I highly recommend it after a long day of touring. The sunsets off the front porch were lovely every evening. I throughly enjoyed the outdoor shower every morning off the master bedroom. What a wonderful way to wake up to singing birds. Keep your eyes upward as I saw a couple of Scarlett Macaws flying overhead. So wonderful to see them in the wild. There is a nice grocery store not too far away which also delivers. The driveway is a bit steep, but after the first day you get used to it! We had a splendid stay!

Such a great room house. We had 6 adults and two children (2 & 5). This house could have accommodated more people. Beautiful, comfortable, all the amenities we were looking for. The pool was a bit cool late in the afternoon because it would be in the shade but it didn’t keep us out.
Jorge was available by text every time we had a question or needed a ride (I would recommend not renting a car for a stay under 2 weeks). The only issue we had is trying to arrange the Nature Tour in Manuel Antonio, he told us to register directly on line but the site would not take our registration, tried multiple times with his suggestions, he even had spots held for us. He then tried to register for us after 24+hours of trying and it was completely booked. Disappointing.
Absolutely loved being in the rainforest (only 20 minutes from a beach). We had monkeys visit every morning and completely entertain us for a half hour daily. We saw Toucans,, Macaws, hummingbirds plus so many other species. We even had an iguana visit around the pool and in the trees a few days.
A recommendation would be hire the chef for dinner at least one night. It was delicious and reasonable. Wish we had planned for him at least another night.
Do note that the house was up quite a few very steep hills and unless you are a strong hiker they were difficult to navigate. We used đźš– for everything and they were reasonably priced.
I would give this a 5 star rating and highly recommend it.

We had 3 families - myself and my two boys, my GF and her son and daughter and my sister and her two boys.
The house was roomy, everyone could get together or away if they wanted. 5 major bedrooms with at least a King and bathroom and a common bedroom with bunk beds for 4 and a King. Jorge the concierge was phenomenal! Anything you need, text him and it's taken care of. Truly a phenomenal experience...

Valle Pura Vida, or as we knew it, the Rainforest Estate, was even better than advertised. House is spacious and beautiful, and the setting is amazing - nested up in the trees with great views to ocean and mountains. Wildlife, especially birds, were abundant. We saw monkeys, macaws, toucans, and a host of resident and migratory birds. The pool is great and the pool table provided lots of entertainment. You will not be disappointed. One of the best features of the house is Hazel (who helps before you arrive and can book a host of activities for you) and Jorge, the onsite concierge. Like every Costa Rican we met, they were both super nice. Jorge was always available, friendly, and quick to help, esp. arranging taxis. We did not have a car and did not need one. We had an absolute blast in Costa Rica and this house was such a great anchor for us. Pura Vida!

Amazing house
Upon our arrival, we were amazed by how understated the photos and description of the property is. The house is enormous and layed out perfect for a large group. The pool is massive with a great deep end and sitting area. The views are spectacular and the daily visits from monkeys, toucans, sloth, and macaws was a great way to start each day. Jorge our concierge was extremely attentive and helped organize and reserving our activities. His recommendations were all spot on. Louisa our housekeeper is five star all the way!

Great location for groups
5 of us stayed here recently. This house is HUGE, was probably too much space for us, but it is AWESOME. The house manager was great, 100% accessible whenever we needed him, which was nice to know. He took care of scheduling excursions and any updates we had. The location is great, easy to get to Quepos or Manual Antonio. As other users have mentioned, the drive is STEEP. We had two small front-wheel drive cars and they were fine, it was a bit more challenging in any rain, but you will make it up the big hill (you'll see when you get there). The pool is a lovely refresh for those hot days. We had the Chef come in twice to make dinner, totally worth it. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Only one person in a group speaks some Spanish and we were totally fine in any town we went to.

Retreat in the hills
Beautiful home, set on a hill in the jungle, is hard to describe. Unbelievable outdoor space that lets nature rest your soul. Daily monkey visits delighted the teens and adults alike. The gorgeous walls of windows allow you to truly enjoy the beauty of where the property sits. Pictures dont do it justice. Concierge was attentive and was fantastic help in arranging rides and outtings. We loved this spot!!

Wildlife Paradise Home in Manuel Antonio
We had a wonderful stay at the Rain Forest Estate. We were here in July 2021 and stayed for 7 days. We were greeted by Jorge our concierge who was very helpful and very communicative through the WhatsApp during our stay. The house was exactly as pictured and we had an ocean view and were right in the jungle with mountain views for days. Our first night we had Alejandro cook us a meal at the house which was amazing. He will come and cook you breakfast or dinner for additional charge but it was worth it for us the first night we arrived since we got there around 5pm. You will need a 4x4 for get to this house. It is way up on a hill, but regardless we recommend a 4x4 for driving around because you never know where you may need to go and need it. The house was clean and big, we had a troop of 20 squirrel monkeys visit us and played on our deck for over 30 minutes, every morning we heard the howler monkeys singing, we had toucans visit everyday, we had a sloth in the tree, we saw numerous birds and lizards and then 2 days before we left, 4 beautiful Scarlet MaCaws came and visited use right on our balconies. It was true paradise. The only recommendations we could make is to please add a washer and dryer and check all the lights, there were quite a few out in the house or wouldn't turn on. We were also told maid service would come everyday, but they only came once. I am sure if I had said something to Jorge they would of come more but we were fine with it so didn't feel the need to say anything. Our family of 5 including a 19 year old and two 10 year olds loved staying here and we would definitely come back.

Relax in paradise
From the moment we arrived knew we had found paradise. We were greeted by the homeowners who were extremely welcoming and very helpful. They booked all of our excursions and were available at all times for questions or concerns. The home itself is beautiful. The outdoor pool area is amazing and the pool itself clean and refreshing. The wildlife is in abundance and we were able to feed 4 beautiful macaws everyday. The area has a ton to do and we would definitely stay again. Thanks so much for the amazing memories!

What an amazing place
The pictures did not do this place justice. It is truly spectacular with a regular flow of beautiful birds and other wildlife. We wanted to stay away from the beach and in the forest for better wildlife viewing and got exactly what we were hoping for. The hosts are great and do everything possible to accommodate guests.

Wonderful home
We stayed with a group of 4 adults and 3 children and had a wonderful time at casa fleur de lisa. Daniel and Bea met us upon arrival and went over all information we needed to know. The pool was amazing, and shaded in the afternoon which was so nice. House is beautiful and rooms were clean and comfortable. Enjoyed spending an evening visiting with Daniel and Bea and we were even blessed with Bea’s famous eclairs for a birthday in our group. The kids were excited every morning to see what wildlife we would see while hanging around the house. Would recommend this home to everyone.

An amazing stay in the middle of the jungle
The place is great, spacious and super full of amenities to spend your vacation. Best part is that because of where is located you actually get to see wildlife right in your backyard like monkeys, toucans, iguanas and macaws!
Bea and Daniel were super communicative, and really clear about all the specifics of the place.

Pura Vida
A perfect getaway in the Quepos/Manual Antonio area. With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms the space was big enough for all 7 of us. We all loved the pool; it was amazing. I was especially fond of the outer shower off the master bedroom, you have a perfect view of the rainforest, the ocean and the mountains— I wanted to take showers all the time.
The owners were very responsive to any issues that came up.
We missed the monkeys and sloth at the house, but had several smaller lizards and a large iguana hanging out with us.
Their is also a macaw nesting in one of the trees near the home, so we saw lots of macaws and the kids had toucans outside their bedroom windows a couple of mornings.
The following may be cons for some, but we were not bothered. The house is three or four floors and the owners live on the bottom floors- they were not intrusive at all- the top two floors are separate.
Leaving the doors open (AC only on when you’re there- set at 23c/ 76f, was hot for us but we were there during the hottest time of the year. This should be fine 90% of the time though.
The drive was fine and we never needed 4 wheel drive, but if it rained, you would probably need.
Overall, I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the Manual Antonio area.

Beautiful house!
We had family in town visiting: 5 adults and 2 kids. This house was perfect! We saw a beautiful toucan right outside the kitchen window, heard howler monkeys, saw white faced monkeys on the front porch, and spider monkeys are bananas right out of our hands on the back deck. Bea and Daniel (owners) are wonderful people and always available when needed. I would definitely stay here again next time we're in Manuel Antonio!!

Beyond beautiful and healing
The owner's are absolutely the kindest people I have ever met. Anything you need or need to know they can help with. My family and I stayed here for about a week and I couldn't of been happier with everything. The home is not only stunning with some of the most beautiful views I've ever seen but the it's absolutely immaculate with plenty of space for everyone.
Everything is so clean and easy to use. The pool is so beautiful and relaxing. So much space and comfortable seating in the pool area with stunning views and of course the curious monkeys that come to investigate.
In all I am looking forward to booking again and couldn't recommend this home and the beautiful and kind owners Bea and Daniel enough. They made our stay absolutely Pura Vida.

Lovely luxury home with tons of wildlife.
Casa Fleur de Lis is a beautiful home with plenty of room for everyone. We had squirrel monkeys visit every day as well as Toucans and MACaws. Bea and Daniel were a pleasure to meet and were extremely patient and kind. The pool was a huge hit with the group. Highly recommend Casa Fleur de Lis

What can I say? This home in this location was paradise. We loved every minute of it.
My family loved staying at Fleur de Lis! Our group consisted of my husband, myself and our three children ages 15, 13, and 9 yrs old. We came on holiday over New Year’s. Bea and Daniel welcomed us to the property with wild toucans just outside the windows and a troop of Squirl monkeys playing at our feet! Our hosts are wonderful people!! They are so kind and helpful. They were always looking out for us. They are very knowledgeable about the tourist area and know the best tour groups to go with for whatever activity we wanted to do. They also provided a good list of taxis and delivery services for our needs. The house was very clean and is nestled right in the middle of the jungle with the most amazing view! Four wheel drive is recommended to get to the house because there is quite a steep road to get to Fleur de Lis. But, my family took taxis everywhere we went. They are relatively Inexpensive and easy to get. We had many long days of adventures so we took advantage of getting our food delivered to the house several times. There are several restaurants that deliver and also a delivery service that we used. But, we also went out to eat at a couple of the restaurants that are close.
We saw many animals on our trip. We saw a kinkajou at night climbing in the trees on property. The Squirl monkeys visited us every day on the pool deck. The toucans came by everyday, as well. Overhead, we watched red macaws flying by the house. Our family loves hiking and the beach. The house is very close to Manuel Antonio national park, at which we were able to enjoy both hiking and swimming. There is a public beach nearby. But, we preferred to go Inside the park where there is a more private beach. The National park beach was very clean and not crowded. The waves were perfect for body surfing and jumping. We also explored the rocks with lots of crabs and starfish. Inside the park we saw many different species of animals. We did a guided day tour and a night tour of the park. It is a different experience for the different times of day. Each tour was worth it. We also enjoyed white water rafting, horse riding to Nauyaca falls, and off shore fishing. When went fishing we caught an 8 1/2 foot pacific sailfish and 2 Mahi mahi. Other animals we saw on our trip were:
Capuchin monkeys, 2 ocelots, sloths, peregrine falcon, agouti, Jesus Christ lizards, Howler monkeys, snakes, red eye tree frogs, tarantulas, scorpions, deer, black jacobin hummingbirds, and more.

Stunning Home with Gracious Hosts
First of all, the pictures do not do this property justice. The home and the pool are much larger than they appear in the photos. We loved lounging by the pool, swinging in the hammocks, and grilling local chorizo for dinner. Monkeys greeted us in the morning, and we have a funny story about a maurading band of raccoons. Bea and Daniel are gracious and accommodating hosts. We had a couple of last minute requests, including finding a wheelchair rental, that they were cheerfully and quickly fulfilled.

incomparable house in an indescribable location
Daniel and Bea hosted our family of 4 in a paradise home featuring every possible amenity including location to MANP, mountain and ocean views, a beautiful artisan quality pool, oversized rooms, wildlife everywhere. We saw from the pool deck Spider monkeys, Toucans, macaws, sloths, frogs, other birds I don’t know, fabulous beautiful iguanas and more. Bea and Daniel were perfect lovely hosts who were available to us when needed or wanted. Best experience ever. Hated to leave.

Wildlife Galore right at the home
This is actually our third year in a row to spend time at this home, and it is definitely our favorite home in Costa Rica. The house is amazing, the swimming pool and deck are great with Unbelievable views. We had troops of squirrel monkeys come by daily all around the pool deck. We had multiple sloths around most of the time. We saw Toucans, scarlet macaws, blue mot mot, hummingbirds of all colors, tons of other birds. We even had a kinkajou visit one evening after dark right above the pool. My adult children have both said they don’t want to stay anywhere else. Manuel Antonio is an awesome town with a lot of great restaurants and amenities but you still get the abundance of wildlife viewing. To top it off Daniel and Bea set me up on a fishing trip that netted me multiple mahi-mahi and a 250 pound blue marlin. My stay could not have been better. We will be back for sure.

Perfect Vacation
We stayed 4 nights at Casa Fleur de Lis with our 5 kids - teens and young adults. Everyone loved this house! It is more beautiful and luxurious than the pictures show. The layout is fantastic, and there is so much usable space. We loved the pool, the funny monkeys, the comfortable beds, location - everything! There are towels that guests can take to the beach or use at the pool; so, there is no need to pack any. The balconies and outdoor space are just perfect, and we loved drinking our morning coffee or sipping evening drinks and enjoying the view. We also loved waking up every morning to the chattering monkeys and gorgeous birds.
Bea and Daniel are the perfect hosts. They are so welcoming and fun. We all enjoyed our chats with them and their recommendations. They were so helpful booking our shuttle to San Jose, and they offered to book any excursion we needed.
If we get the chance to go back to Manuel Antonio, we would not hesitate to stay at Casa Fleur de Lis!

LOVED everything about our stay
Our family had a magical experience at Bea and Daniel’s house. From our very first warm greeting to our last good bye, we could not have found a better place to stay. Bea and Daniel were very helpful in setting up our daily adventures, as well as being super responsive to our questions. Their home is absolutely beautiful, tucked away off the main road through Manuel Antonio. (You have to trust your Waze map, and drive up a very steep road, to find this hidden gem.) Our family of 8 grilled outside and also made a few meals in the well equipped kitchen. The house is big enough that everyone could have their own space, but we also had fun together playing pool, lounging in the pool, and moving around to the different patios to look for wildlife. The views from both sides of the house are spectacular, as it sits pretty high up a hill. Some of us also got to have the amazing experience of taking a shower outside! We can’t recommend this house enough - the hospitality and accommodations were perfect.

Amazing location and view!
We just finished our weeklong stay with 3 preteen kids and had a blast. The house is spacious and clean and safe. We saw monkeys and sloths and all sorts of other animals. We were able to open the house up during the day and enjoy the breezes and at night the air conditioning quickly cooled the house.
Bea and Daniel were incredibly responsive and helpful. All of their recommendations were spot on. I would absolutely recommend this house to anybody interested in Quepos.

Wonderful Memories
Casa Fleur de Lis was a wonderful home away from home for our family. Our trip to Costa Rica was a very special time for our family and Daniel and Bea did much to help make it special. They met us at the door on our very late arrival and got our vacation started amazingly. Bea had made arrangements with the chef to have delicious appetizers waiting to feed three hungry teenagers! Everything about the house was amazing - the very nice and comfortable bedrooms, the beautiful pool, the large and homey common area - everything!!! Bea took the time to point out the resident sloths and tell us all about them and the monkeys. The monkeys visited twice a day and really interacted with us. Very, very interesting!!!! We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. The pool is really a focal point and a great place to relax after a day of adventures. We couldn't have asked for a better place to make wonderful family memories. Thank you so much Bea and Daniel!!!!

We traveled in early April 2019 with our 3 teens and a single friend with her teen. We had a wonderful trip in general. Loved the country, the beaches, the unbelievably lovely home with bratty "mafia" capuchin monkeys who came to the pool, huge iguanas, sloths in the trees. Truly paradise. I would recommend probably scheduling fewer outings and just having time to really enjoy the pool and beaches -- they're spectacular. This part of the country is HOT in April, however, over 100 degrees while we were there, and despite having air conditioning as a major selling-point of this house, apparently it is so expensive to run that the hosts very actively and repeatedly encouraged NOT using it except in the evening/overnight. Which sounds reasonable except that if you come home baked from a long day, and turn on an AC in the late afternoon, there will be several hours before it is cool enough to actually hang out and cook or socialize in the common area. This leads to everyone hanging out in their bedrooms, playing on their phones, which sort of defeats the purpose of a family vacation. Daniel mansplained in detail how experiencing dripping sweat is good for you, as I rolled my eyes. Apparently Europeans are much less used to AC than Americans, which is fine, but not really the issue; we don't even own AC in the US but would if the average temps in summer were over 100! So they should exclusively rent to people who love HOT temps during these seasons. Still, I would highly recommend the home and its wonderful owners. The pool was fantastic, the beach was close and beautiful. Restaurants were easy to get to. The house is immense. Hammocks were so lovely. The river rafting is a bit unexciting in the dry season - lots of time spent getting the raft off rocks; but still fun guides and cool. The kids loved zip-lining, although it is not really a way to see wildlife. The showers were great. LOVED the final day when it rained, and the rainforest went nuts -- sitting on the deck with animals going wild all around. Magical!! Rather unbelievably, we skipped going to Manuel Antonio as we had more wildlife early in the morning from our pool area and to/from the beach than would be seen traipsing with 100's of people in 100 degrees mid-day in the game park.

Plenty of space, a visit by monkeys and lots of different bird calls make this a wonderful stay. Hard to find and you must like steep hills but that is Costa Rica.

Spending two weeks in this fabulous home was a well deserved treat for our family and friends!! We were celebrating our daughter’s graduation from college with our adult family of 5 with our two best friends from home. The home is simply stunning from the simple things like the spacious bathrooms to the open air feeling of the kitchen to the super generous decks and the view that stretches from the Pacific Ocean to the mountains. The jungle is there to simply reach out and touch!! We visited during the beginning of the rainy season and were able to watch daily as the jungle became lush and full of life!! The trees leafed out, the blooms came to life, and the animals came so close we had spider monkeys rolling at our feet! The vast display of birds, reptiles, monkeys, and at last, the sloth!! Even with my bad eyesight I was able to witness so much of the Costa Rican flora and fauna!!
And the wonder that is Costa Rica when paired up with the warmth and hospitality of our hosts made for a perfect family retreat!! Bea and Daniel were waiting for us upon our very late arrival (thanks to the airline), and with a quick introduction to the house, we were left to explore and marvel at their beautiful home. Y’all doors and windows allow for the capture of the lovely breezes from the ocean and since the entire living area has sliding glass doors that completely open up the living spaces to the great outdoors , you feel completely connected to the jungle. It is magnificent, and writing this, I wish I were there right now!!
We were able to spend a day tuna fishing (very successfully) and a day hiking to the Nauyaca waterfall (I highly recommend this for those folks up to the challenge) and ATV tour into the mountains, zip lining, mangrove monkey tour, and do not miss going to the farmers market on Friday evenings (or Saturday morning)!!
We also enjoyed many fascinating conversations with Bea and Daniel about their adventures in Costa Rica . Bea even was gracious enough to have done our laundry for us!! I honestly can’t think of one thing that could have been changed to make it a better visit!!
I am already looking forward to our next visit!

Fabulous location, casa and hosts! Our family of 5 fell in love with Costa Rica, our rental and Bea and Daniel. The home is beautifully decorated, with spectacular views and wildlife. Bea's recommendations were spot on. During our stay we hiked throughout Manual Antonio Parc, white water rafted, did the ATV jungle tour, and Adventure Park, and the local chocolate/coffee tour. We hope to return!

We had an absolutely wonderful visit to Costa Rica and found Casa Fleur de Lis to be the perfect place to stay! First of all, the house is amazing! We had two families (eight in total) and there was so much room to spread out in. The bedrooms are huge, the bathrooms are beautiful, and the main living area is enormous. The best part for us was the incredible pool and patio area. We made great use of it each day, both before and after our outings.
Each morning we woke up to the sounds of endless birds. We were fortunate to see several macaws, a toucan, and so many other birds that we were unfamiliar with. We also enjoyed a visit from a mischievous group of capuchin monkeys! They were so entertaining to watch! The resident sloth was visible when we first arrived but stayed hidden the remainder of our visit.
I'd also like to share that Bea and Daniel were wonderful hosts. Bea gave us numerous recommendations for activities and the best way to navigate Quepos and Manuel Antonio. We rafted with Amigos del Rio and had an absolute blast! We also went on the Dolphin catamaran tour and were very pleased with that day. Other activities included a trip to Nauyaca waterfall and of course a day at Manuel Antonio Park. Bea does her best to help you plan the perfect family vacation!
We would recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle as the driveway is steep (as are many of the roads in Costa Rica). We also recommend arriving during the daylight hours as the house can be difficult to locate (Bea definitely shared that information with us before we arrived). The advantage of being up high was great privacy and a true jungle feel! We loved it! Thank you so much Bea and Daniel for sharing your home and helping us to create memories that will last a lifetime!!

Bea was the best hostess and helped us order food in Spanish, answered our questions quickly, showed us the sloth in the tree, etc. The view from the house of the rain forest is very beautiful with amazing sunsets! The pool was cool and clean. We enjoyed the iguanas which were all around. We didn't see monkeys since it was the dry season so this was disappointing. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept soundly every night. The house is warm during the day but we weren't inside very much so this wasn't a big issue. The kids enjoyed the pool table. All in all, I would recommend this gorgeous home with gracious owners without hesitation. Make sure you get Cornelius and his wife to cook a few meals for you because the food was delicious especially the Huevos rancheros for breakfast!

We had a week here with 8 family members. We were all pleased. We saw lots of lizards and other amimals. The sloth and monkeys did not show up but we saw many of them elsewhere. We enjoyed the mangrove night tour where saw an anteater along with many sloths and fantastic birds. This tour includes dinner afterwards. If you take the private boat for snorkeling take a bit of pineapple and fish will eat from your hand. Prepare for long wait at the Parc and go on to the second beach after the snack for a peaceful end to the experience. Bea and Daniel are great hosts who will be as helpful as your best friend. Charming folks even if you do not need help. Great choice for your stay!

Our family had a chance to stay for a whole week in this beautiful home on the mountain with spectacular sunsets and amazing mountain views. The monkeys came to visit us several times. We had the resident aguti and coati visit us often, several beautiful song birds and views of the macaws daily. We loved the beautiful pool and its very quiet and relaxing surroundings. Bea was so helpful to us from getting a driver to pick up one of our sons from the San Jose airport to getting our outings organized. We have been to Manual Antonio several times in the past but this was the first time we stayed in a house. And it was truly a great experience. We can't wait to come back to Costa Rica !

My family (5 adults, one 11 year old) stayed at Casa Fleur de Lis the first week of February. It was like being in paradise with the breezes, the lovely pool, the animals and the sunsets. We were all in awe of the beautiful scenery surrounding us. The house is beautiful with all the amenities needed for cooking, barbecuing and just hanging out if that is your desire. We took 4 tours during our week; Bea set them up for us. All but one tour picked us up at the house; one tour requested we meet them partway down the hill. We did not see the sloth (but saw them at MA Park and returning up the path from Biesantz Beach! We did see macaws in the tree on the road down to the main "highway", a raccoon who made its way into the kitchen one evening (he was readily shooed out the door!), an iguana who sunned himself on the deck, and the spider monkeys who came to the pool deck two mornings. Feeding them bananas was the highlight of our grandson's trip! Sunsets on the front deck were spectacular.
I could go on and on about the house but I want to comment on Bea and Daniel: they truly love their house and their adopted country. They are very conscientious of the environment and the need to keep the animals wild and safe. We washed our hands before feeding the monkeys and were told to feed only the spider monkeys.
Bea was always very responsive to my texts, she arranged the shuttle for us to and from San Jose and she arranged all of our tours. She and Daniel have a good knowledge of the area and the better tours; we were happy with the tours she booked for us. When one tour driver (new) got lost she tracked him down and made sure he made it to the house. They also recommended restaurants with the best sunset views, and also the best beaches, they were spot-on. If we ever do return to Costa Rica we would not hesitate to stay with Bea and Daniel at their wonderful home!

We stayed for most of January and found this to be a home from home with the house having everything we needed. Bea and Daniel were excellent hosts with Bea sorting out a number of trips for us and helping us with day to day needs, such as where to shop and good restaurant recommendations.
The house sits high on a hill surrounded by forest which is teeming with wildlife and birds. The bird life was my passion and I saw over 70 species including Scarlet Macaws, parrots, lots of Tanagers, Warblers and various birds of prey. At night we were visited by an owl and nightjars sat on the path outside the house. The rest of the family were mesmerised by the daily visits of monkeys (Squirrel and White Faced), plus occasional visits by Sloth, Coati, Agouti, Raccoons, Iguana and Frogs.
The pool was a great success with our 3 year old who swam at least twice a day. As the pool was largely in the shade we didn’t have to worry about her getting sunburnt.
This was a wonderful experience which we will remember forever. Thank you Bea and Daniel
