The beds and the location were great
There was a broken window to start with, upon entering the house there was a stench of wet dog, as well as surfaces being either sticky or dusty. Due to these circumstances we decided to leave the house 2 days early.

Great location. The steps leading to the property are a bit tricky .key is easy to find .
The house is from the 1740s . I think you have to remember that when you book .
There is a new(ish) extension at the rear that has a kitchen with all the facilities needed .
The house is warm and quirky.
Good size bedrooms . But you can hear a lot of noise from the angel pub if your in the front bedroom.

The property is equipped with everything you need for a stay with friends or family, the location is great. This was a return visit and we will stay again.
Could so with a lick of paint as its looking a little tired.

A l’intérieur :
• Propreté limite
• une porte en bois détériorée
• un aspirateur non vidé donc inefficace
• une poche poubelle percée
• des robinets difficiles à ouvrir et fermer.
A l’extérieur
• Accès difficile sur tous les plans : dépose bagages, marches glissantes, entrée enclavée…
• Cour annoncé sur le site. C’est une blague : espace extérieur inexistant, enclavé, et très sale.
• Rue extrêmement bruyante

Excellent location, close to everything. quirky, quaint interesting old property. Allowed to take dogs which was perfect for our family. Comfortable beds.
Needs a blooming good deep clean, cobwebs everywhere, plates in cupboard still had food on them. Had to start our holiday by cleaning the kitchen glasses cutlery and crockery. Cleaners turned up as we were leaving the property, they were rude and could so with training ing on politeness.

Good location
Shabby and in need of some tlc. Stained carpets and peeling paint. Stacks of uncollected post for owners off putting.

The property is well presented, clean and tidy which is great. Beds comfy and plenty of storage space.
Couple of gripes when we got here, the nowTV was not working which as you can imagine with children could have been a catastrophe thankfully we had brought their tablets. We had to replace the batteries in the now tv remote in the end which should really have been checked prior to our arrival. The radiator in the dining room doesn’t work, which means the downstairs remains cold as we didn’t want to be using the plug in floor heater when we have children. The upstairs also doesn’t get warm and it seems that the radiators only get half warm, I wonder whether it’s due a system bleed? Although I appreciate the blinds the bedroom would have benefitted from some nice thick curtains not only to keep light out but to keep it a little warmer without the need for extra heating this would also help as a slight sound barrier. Noise was ok, some foot traffic and loudness between midnight and 12.30 which I understand there is a pub on the corner but generally it was surprisingly quite quiet in the accommodation itself. Courtyard was dirty and would benefit from a jet wash and clean and I wouldn’t advertise it as a “garden” in the key points on the advert. I would consider that it’s not suitable for 2 pets either. 1 perhaps but not two. Although this is explained in The detail most looking for specific things would look at the summary then be disappointed. I would also leave parking out as a “facility” as that isn’t the case, directly surrounding the property are “no return within 2 hours” between 9am and 7pm so other than that the charges you are subject to are anything up to £70 for a weeks stay. Other places have in the past offered a discounted permit that looks like a scratch card, this would have been beneficial.

Great, central location. A view from the top bedroom. Well-equipped kitchen. Bathroom and kitchen were clean
We arrived at tea-time on the Saturday and when my wife opened the door(I was off parking the car) it had piles of post behind it. The house was freezing, only 10 degrees. Nothing was turned on. We put the heating on, but it only went up to 14 degrees by the time we were going to bed. The whole house was cold and very uncomfortable.
We should've stayed until Monday morning, but left Sunday after lunch, as it was still cold downstairs.
The house had cobwebs all over and the TV cabinet had thick brick dust on it. There was also a stain on one of the settee's, not sure what it was and didn't fancy touching it to find out.

Location - good
Smoke alarm batteries were bleeping all the time as they needed new batteries, we took them down after ringing the contact number and they couldn't come to sort them out - poor service

What breakfast? We provided our own cereal, and bacon, eggs, mushrooms etc.
WiFi could have been better, i.e. We couldn't get into the lottery, or online banking etc.

There was an outside seating area that wasn`t really useable because it was dirty . I tried cleaning it but didn`t use it If this small area could be improved it would be nice for people with children who would like to sit outside.

Location is unfortunately the only positive of this holiday home
Unfortunately this holiday home is one of the worst rental properties we have ever stayed in as a family. We were welcomed with a musty odour and the cottage was in extremely poor condition. The photos online are not a true reflection of the property itself. It appeared to have not been cleaned in months, from what we could tell only the bedsheets and fresh towels had been replaced since the previous guest. There were thick cobwebs in the corner of every room, exposed electricals, questionable stains in almost every room of the house. In addition we realised we were not the only guests when opening the kitchen cupboards, it was evident there were mice from the multiple droppings!! If you’re going to spend £880 for a weekend the least you’d expect, would for it to be clean and tidy ! The outdoor seating area had a left over rubbish bag from the previous guest and cigarette buds all over! There were no bin liners to been found and the kitchen table was sticky, it clearly had not been cleaned! The beds on were as hard as a rock, which only lead to an uncomfortable night. It was topped off by the fact an extremely loud pub minutes away blasts music until 0130. We all barely slept! It was that bad we only stayed one night. The property is really only appropriate for groups who want to be in the centre and plan on a boozy weekend in which they are not bothered about anything other than a bed for the night! Definitely not appropriate for a relaxing family break! What should have been a lovely weekend celebrating our anniversary was cut short due to the poor cleanliness of the property!! We will not be returning and I would not recommend. See photos attached.

beautiful warm and spacious old cottage. very clean also
it’s right next to a very noisy pub called the angel. yes we expected some noise from the street , but the pub blasted out very loud entertainment/disco until 12.30pm 3 out of 4 nights and then drunken people going home past 1am sleep was impossible before 1am

It was in a good central location and there was plenty of space for the six of us.
The furniture and facilities were VERY tired and the whole place needs a damn good clean. The sash windows were filthy the kitchen cupboards were sticky so the glasses and mugs were stuck to them and had to be cleaned before use! The cupboard under the sink had what appeared to be mouse droppings. We love quaint cottages with the period features but those features need cleaning. Cobwebs and months old dust and grime are not acceptable especially for the price we paid for 3 nights. And it was extremely worrying to us considering covid is still rife!!
May I also suggest that the beds have the option of two pillows per person as the very thin pillow we each had made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep for everyone.
The place has SO much potential if some effort was put into it. Feels like the owners just want the money and don’t care about good reputation.
