Convenient access to Soldier Field. Fun neighborhood and easy access on the L Red line

Place was somewhat as pictured, needed to be dusted, & shower needed to be cleaned! & sink was extremely slow draining! The event that changed everything, master bed has bed bugs. Every morning, there were new bites on our body!! I have pix for proof!
We had trouble with our door code the first day,, had to make several calls! Iron did not work, took 24 hours to get replacement!

Great location for concert at Soldier Field. Would definitely recommend!

Six day stay for four adult guests worked well as restaurants, grocery stores, parks, and retail shopping were all within walking distance. Spacious showers, comfortable beds, and full kitchen as well as new washer and dryer allowed guests to "nest" after busy days downtown.

I stayed at this property for 3 night with my family. The apartment was clean and in good condition. Beds are comfortable and the area is quiet at nights. Just like the pictures. Recomended for short stays

The building was well taken care of and had security at night. The building is secured and requires a passcode for entry.
The rental was clean and had almost everything we needed (may need to add a pizza cutter). The bathrooms were clean and the shower pressure was amazing!. The beds were more firm than we would have liked and were slightly uncomfortable.
The check in process was a little confusing and verifying your identity seems a little much. Also none of the check in process can be done on the VRBO wesite/app. Customer service was helpful in getting our identity verfied and the passcodes for the building.

The location was great. Near grocery stores, restaurants and the train. Straight shot from airport as well. Easy access to museums and attractions. The space was as advertised and clean. More affordable than I high end hotel with more space. Felt safe too.

The place is very clean, nicely maintained. Sound protected- so no need to worry about street noise. Conveniently located at the downtown Chicago. The security person at the lobby was very helpful. Loved every thing!

Has all the essentials + nice shower in one of the bathrooms. However bed was extremely uncomfortable - marks on walls everywhere - strange noises from WiFi router and inside walls. You’ll also be hearing the nearby train a lot.

We have family who live in the South Loop area. Given the lack of hotels nearby, we use this VRBO/Sonder location frequently. It’s clean, easy to access, and very convenient. It’s a bit sparse, but we don’t spend much time there other than overnight. And for that, it’s great.

The rental was as described and fitted our needs. Easy access and good communication throughout. We parked in a garage about a quarter mile away but we’re able to drop off luggage and there are lockers if you arrive before the check-in time.

The two bedroom apartment was a great fit for our family and a wonderful place to crash after full days enjoying the city. I found affordable parking nearby using spot hero, and the apartment was conveniently located near public transportation. I would 100% use Sonder again and will definitely look them up when traveling to other cities as well.

Initially my family and were a bit hesitant, but we realized upon entry into the apartment it had everything we needed. It was also very stylish with a modern decor. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had all the applianes and utensils you would expect to find, with a washer and dryer (soap included). The building was clean, quiet & secure. Attention to detail by the staff was evident.
Moreover, the elevated train could not be heard when passing.
It was a very plesant stay, the location was perfect. It was easy walking distance or train to everywhere onlong the Loop. Parking on the other hand was a hassle. This is not to be attributed to Sonder, but rather the city of Chicago. Parking is a challenge throughout the city of Chicago.
I would eagerly book with Sonder again. It was a well worth the cost. As far As parking is concerned use Spot hero, park the car where you can find a close spot and leave it. Just walk where you need to go. The area is well patrolled with security.
5 Stars!

My first negative VRBO review ever!
While the access to the building was easy, upon entering our unit #304 - we were overwhelmed with the smell of gas that hit us when we entered.
Having to cover our eyes upon entering, quickly found the stove burner slightly turned, and emitting gas. Not knowing how long that had been on - we quickly contacted you, were ready to contact the fire department, turned off the stove - and had to open all the windows and doors for a long while until the smell dissipated, then flee outside as we felt very unsafe.
Not a very warm welcome to Sonder property.
Also, the unit was not what we expected in a scene of care and cleanliness. A few things:
Bathtub in the first bath had a huge drain issue, and did not drain, leaving me to stand in gross water - then the next day the shower was so slippery from the residual soap - that it was super dangerous.
The dishes in the cabinet were dirty - literally feel like a guest may have loaded the dishwasher - not run it, then housekeeping thought it was clean and put it away. So disgusting.
The sheets in the guest bathroom appeared to have dried blood stains on them.
NOTE: I reached out directly to the property managment company, Sonder directly to address this before sharing this review. The first attempt went completely ingnored, and the second attempts months later was met with a sorry, we will do better next time. Sorry, for me - there will certainly not be a next time.

We shared this apartment with a friend while he and my husband attended a conference. It was a perfect location, and so nice to have a place to sit and visit over breakfast or in the evening, which you can't really do in hotel rooms. Comfortable beds, strong water pressure, and a well-equipped kitchen were greatly appreciated. There was a small leak on our last day but it was addressed immediately and taken care of. We would absolutely stay there again when in Chicago.

Renting was great, walls were very thin, could hear everything in the hallway and we had slight music on at 8pm on a Friday of New Years Eve weekend and were told to lower it.

Enjoyed the mattress and how spacious it is. only complaint is that 2nd bedroom the wall doesnt go to ceiling.

We had a really great stay at the Sonder property. The place was very clean and felt extremely safe. Parking isn’t ideal, but that’s just Chicago. The walls are a little thin. Neighbors got home at 2pm and had a very audible discussion. They weren’t yelling or anything. Other times, we could hear their TV. A minor setback to a great stay.

What a great experience in the south loop; made us feel like locals with a place to go home to. Clean, bright, cozy, and modern. Would stay again!!

Beautiful quiet little lake with lots of fish (mostly small but GREAT fun for kids) and tons of wildlife. House and loft house are clean and have all you need. Especially kitchen appliances. Dock is huge! Boats and paddle boards were all used and a huge hit. Gazebo is clean and perfect for dinner outside without getting eaten by mosquitoes. Loved it, would stay again. Our group included adults and kids and teens and everyone enjoyed themselves.

This was real nice place. Although crumbs and chips were found on pullout sofa. Also, not enough towels
6 ladies staying and not enough towels to use , had to use hand towel to dry off and no iron to iron clothes. Otherwise this was a nice place and would stay again

The place was exceptionally clean, adorable, and just as described. However, I have to give a 4 star review because the bed we slept in had an awful mattress. It was uncomfortable, which even then I could tolerate… but every time we turned it moved, it creaked loudly so we were waking each other up all night when someone turned.

I flew to Chicago to have my knee replaced, so I needed a place to convalesce for a few days and this fit the bill. The area was convenient…it wasn’t filled with tourists but was close to groceries, hospital and restaurants. Checking in was simple on the Sonder app. Once inside was when everything sort of went sideways. The unit was filthy. And not in a nitpicky “Karen” sort of way. I’m talking food from a former guest still under the coffee table and on the rug, dirty dishes stacked back in the cupboard, spiderwebs wafting lazily over the center island off the lights and greasy sticky cooktop that looked to be never cleaned. Dust all over the bathrooms. It was gross. I immediately contacted Sonder and their on-site manager arrived with what seemed to be a cleaner of some sort. She apologized profusely and said they couldn’t clean the kitchen right then as this guy only spot cleans but asked when the cleaner could come the next day to do a deep clean of the kitchen. We settled on any time in the morning as I would be in surgery and recovering. We came back around 4pm and kitchen still wasn’t clean. 4:30p the housekeeper walks in and wants to clean the kitchen….as I am post operative from a knee replacement. Again I reached out to Sonder to express my displeasure and the on-site manager was so responsive. She apologized profusely and promised to make it right. Honestly, she was so lovely and professional she really was the reason I didn’t get completely bananas. So lots of hiccups but if they could get quality control and the companies they contract with to do a better job, it would be a perfect rental experience.

Three nights in Chicago
We enjoyed our staying in this apartment. We have six people including a teenager and three <10 boys. This apartment is a little compact in size, but we did not stay much in the apartment. Main Chicago attractions are within walking distance (~35 mins), and there are many good restaurants (Giordano and asians) around the neighborhood. Parking is not provided, but we used the SpotHero app to find the closest parking place, which costs us about $50 total for three nights.
