Located only 2 miles from Lost Valley trail and 3 miles from the Ponca bridge, hiking and floating are right outside your door!
Recently renovated, this farmhouse is equipped with all the modern amenities including central heat and air, as well as new appliances, along with WiFi and Netflix. You simply can not beat the location!
Ponca is less than 5 minutes away where you can access the Ponca Low Water bridge and the Buffalo River trail. Lost Valley trail, Hawksbill Crag, Centerpoint Trailhead, and Steele creek are only a short drive away. Wilderness Rider Buffalo and Adventure Park is just up the road and there is plenty of space to park your trucks and trailers! If you are looking to float or hike the Upper Buffalo River area, or just relax in the peaceful valley, you will not be disappointed at The Boxley House!

This is a beautiful bungalow with lots of amenities. We did not use the attic bedrooms due to the open stairwell which was a little scary for our senior group. Some blinds on the laundry room windows would be nice since there’s a pullout couch/bed there. The house was very clean and the beds and furniture were very comfortable. Everything we needed was right there. The grounds and views are also excellent.,

We’ve stayed near the Buffalo River for many years and have been to many homes and cabins in the area. While they’ve all been fine, this is one I’ll be returning to stay. I fell in love with the home and its history. In addition, the host was fantastic and so kind and responsive when I had questions related to the area and history.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Boxley House. We enjoyed sitting around a fire our first night, listening to coyotes and owls all around. We had big exploring plans our first morning in the valley and were so cozy that we decided to stay in. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, plenty of towels for bathing and everything was clean and tidy. We seen loads of elk in both directions from the house both early morning and evening. We can't wait to stay again.

A great place to stay while at the Buffalo River area. Plenty of room with the feel of home . Nice well kept yard with a cozy fire pit. 👍

The farmhouse was clean with plenty of room, friendly owner correspondence. We go every year to this area to view and take photos of the elk. This location was perfect for that! Quiet area.. We will definitely be back. Although it was just my husband and I, it would be plenty of room to bring the kids and grandkids

Our stay was perfect. The Boxley house was spotless, the area was quiet and relaxing. We saw turkey, elk, deer, and cows. The house is in a great location for exploring the area. We would highly recommend this rental, and would love to return.

Had a wonderful time. Nathan was a great host. Communication was easy and friendly. Good river access and hiking nearby.

The property was as advertised and we had no complaints. It was four adult males that stayed and we had plenty of room and the back deck was great. It is a little bit of a hike to the store which we didn't mind at all. It was completely secluded and a great place to relax and unwind, no cell phone service was a plus!

Our family retreat was so great, we are so thankful to have spent it here. The cabin is clean and spacious. We enjoyed the fire pit and gas grill. Highly recommend.

Pulled together an odd bunch of friends together, experienced Hemmed in hollow falls and hawksbill crag. 50/10 loved our trip! Made friends with the yard armadillos 🙂

The house was very nice and cozy. Enjoyed sitting out back, listening to the stream, and playing corn hole. Lots of activities to do close but could of been content staying at the house.

We had a great time staying in the Boxley Valley farmhouse rental. The location couldn't be any better in regards to accessing the upper Buffalo wilderness. The house was just as advertised and met our needs perfectly. There was plenty of space, the house was clean and we enjoyed playing and relaxing in the outdoor spaces. We recommend this to anyone wanting to spend a few days exploring the valley.

We loved the “back in time” feel of the older but very functional home. A quiet and comfortable area. We went out both mornings to look for elk. We want to come back in the winter.

We enjoyed our stay at Betty's home in the most beautiful area of Arkansas. The personal touch made us feel like we were visiting family. Thank you for providing a place to reminisce and learn about our family history. My dad and uncles shared many memories of visiting Grandpa Hez and Grandma Minnie Mac Villines. It was an experience we will treasure forever.

The house was perfect for my family and friends that joined us. We loved being in the Boxley Valley, seen lots of Elk and it is close to the hiking trials and Steel Creek where we went swimming!

Excellent!
We had the best time at the Boxley house! The location is amazing for wildlife watching in the mornings/evenings. We loved the rustic charm of the house and the hammocks out back were the perfect touch!

Property was described well. Only issues were tons of wasps on the deck and we couldn’t use the grill as it had a birds nest in it.
