About this apartment rental
**Please note that there is a $40 + tax pet fee, per pet, per stay. There will be an additional $50 fine if pets were brought to the property without notifying us. Due to a severe allergy one of our staff has, unfortunately we are unable to host cats. This room is dog friendly, not cat friendly. **
My husband and I bought the Mountain Peaks Motel Jan 2021. Since we purchased the property, we did a full renovation for all the rooms. We are conveniently located at the heart of Leadville. Walking
You will have the entire room to your self. This includes 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. The room also includes a TV with direct TV services, a small dining/working table, a small kitchen with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and an oven. Towels and bathroom essentials are provided. We have a private parking lot where guests can park, we do our best to plow the parking lot, but when it snows, inevitably it will become slippery, please be careful walking in the parking lot. No smoking is allowed on the property inside or outside. If you need to smoke, feel free to go to the sidewalk next to the property.
You have access to your room and the parking lot. We are in the process of building more common areas to provide a even better experience, stay tuned!
We love chatting with our guests and do the best we can to ensure our guests have a great experience! But we also want to respect if you want your personal space. Just don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything or have any questions!
We are right on the main street of Leadville. Two Mile Hi brewery is right across the street. There is also a gas station across the street providing basic services. We love High Mountain Pies, they have amazing pizza and wings, Tennessee Pass Café has one of the best brussels sprouts in town, they also have some delicious burgers/sandwich. If you are a meat eater, check out Qincys, their bacon wrapped fillet mignon is on point....they also serve prime ribs on weekends. The best part is, all these options are less than 5 minutes walk away.
If you want to check out down town Leadville, it's a short 5-10 minutes walk. We are also close to a bunch of trail heads and ski resorts. We'd recommend a car if you want to enjoy the 100 miles + trail system in Leadville or go shred at the skiing resorts.

I highly recommend this motel, especially if traveling with dogs.
Room 12 is especially convenient since it is large with a stove, fridge, sink and 3 windows.
This place isn't "fancy" but totally worth the price of the room. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the quality of mattresses, cleanliness and ammenities.
Overall very clean, comfortable and quiet in the evenings. Manager very responsive and gave clear instructions on check in and out.
I appreciated the extra cleaning towels that were left, as well as two fans and a nice white noise machine! I always travel with a white noise machine and they one they provided was better than my travel version.
I compared other options in Leadville that were dog friendly and when I arrived and walked around and saw the tiny houses that were dog friendly, but atleast $75-$100 higher, I was so happy I chose the motel. The tiny house area just a block over with some of those rentals felt like a homeless encampment.
I'd definitely stay here again over most of the dog friendly options in Leadville.

Very clean and nice for the price I paid.

There was water and soda in the fridge, very thoughfull. Plenty of coffee etc. Very nice kitchen, full size fridge and stove. Road noise, my main worry, was not yoo bad. So a pleasant stay

Good kitchen equipment. Friendly & helpful host. However, we can not recommend this place: Poor heating, poor lighting, poor beds, took a very long time for water to get hot, no comfortable seats/chairs, uneven flooring, open gaps around door frame.

Excellent property for a convenient ski trip to cooper. The set up was excellent and the room very comfortable! We will be back!

This place was adorable and perfect for our stay the night before a big hike. The hosts were very communicative before we arrived, and went above and beyond preparing the place for us, leaving a goodie bag with sunscreen, lip balm, and other little toiletries. The noise machine was also a nice touch, as the road outside can be a little busy/loud. We loved it, and would definitely return. Thank you for your hospitality!

This quaint hotel offers more than meets the eye. We had a fabulously remodeled room along with many simple yet appreciated touches. The staff we're so helpful, attentive, and accommodating. If you're looking for a quaint yet special place in Leadville located in a great location, then this is the place to stay.

Right from the booking to walking in the first day was amazing!! A friend and myself planned this trip months ago,as my son lives in Leadville. I wanted to be close to him 4 minutes to be exact. The room smelled amazing and a lovely gift bag sat on the table. Everything we needed was right there. Stove. Refrigerator, dishes, cooking utensils. Everything was spotless!! Walking distance to town and restaurants. Friendly people all around. We enjoyed the bench at the end of the property as you can see the mountains from there. We usually had coffee there every morning. I will be planning another trip with my husband next year and look forward to staying in the same room. You will not be disappointed by any means. The room does get a little warm during the day, but there are 2 fans that help. The evening's cool down and it is perfect sleeping weather. I am so glad i booked this lovely little place.

I loved the place! The small unit with kitchen was exactly what I wanted. Everything was very clean, small kitchen had all the utensils, pots and pans I could need. There were many small touches that were very thoughtful for guests.
I wish I could give the trip a five star, but unfortunately, I was ridiculously hot most of my stay. With windows open, two fans blowing, the room was 80 degrees or more except for first thing in the morning it would have finally cooled down. I rarely even turned on a light bulb and never opened the curtains in an effort to try and get the room as cool as possible. Never could figure out why it was colder outside, but so hot inside.
I get it, Colorado doesn't have A/C for the most part because they don't need it.
Would I stay here again? Yes, just not in the summer.

The owner gave good instructions on how to find the room. The heat was on so the room was warm. She had shift bag with goodies in it in the table and drinks in the refrigerator to enjoy. The water temperature was very warm.

This was the best stay of our 3 week trip. The facility was extremely clean and well stocked. It was right of the highway and you could easily walk to town. The host was very nice. I would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Clean, comfortable and close to downtown
Property was clean and the perfect set-up for our short stay. I didn’t realize there is no AC but that seems to be the norm for Leadville including restaurants

Easy and Convenient
It’s clear the owners put effort into details for their guests. Things like the sound machine, oil diffuser, and array of lotion, chapsticks, and dog bones were a great touch! The main heater wasn’t working, but there were space heaters to help. The floors were freezing, so make sure you bring slippers if you’re visiting in the winter! Communication with the host was super easy and received quick responses.

Great space! Light, well supplied and the goodie bag and fridge surprises were a nice touch.
I would stay again! Ting and space were great!

Worth the stay
Very clean and well taken care of. Lots of supplies in the kitchen if you wanted to cook along with a TV and Directv. Plus the shower was excellent after a day on the slopes. Pictures represent the property well, but it still exceeded our expectations

Home Away From Home
My husband and I stayed at Mountain Peaks Motel over the weekend with our two dogs and were very impressed with our room and experience. Everything we could have possibly needed was available to us. Our dogs also enjoyed their stay and were welcomed to the motel with dog biscuits. We will definitely be staying here again when we’re in Leadville.

Great experience!!!
We stayed a night at this convenient location for a fishing trip to Turquoise Lake and couldn’t have been more pleased. The location is 15 minutes from the lake and right in the main drag in Leadville. The convenience, cleanliness, and amenities (including the French Press coffee) were all about as good as it gets! We will return!
