Tolle Lage! Ruhe!
Verschmutzter Balkon, keine Kissen für Mobiliar.
Gestaltung Nachteingang sehr ungepflegt.

Betten waren bequem. Wlan funktionierte perfekt. Parken konnte man kostenfrei nebenan.

Tolle Wanderwege super Beschilderung.

Stylish eingerichtet (Suite) , große Dusche, bequeme Betten, sehr ruhige Lage, gutes Frühstück
Leider etwas Schmutz vom Vorgänger, Handtuchheizung ganz zugestaubt, Gardinen zum Verdunkeln/ für Privatsphäre wären schön gewesen

Saarhaus cabin was super cold at arrival. No heat turned on in advance, took till 4 am in the morning to have some heat going, not very pleasant in those wet cold fall temperatures in Germany. Some of the kitchen equipment was missing or not working. Should be checked by staff members before guests arrive, just simple things.

Great location, right on the river, at the end of the road. Lovely cabins. A great retreat! We loved our time here... once we got in.
They just need better instructions for how to find the key as there is no one at the property after 4 or 5pm. We were sent many multi-page emails in German and when we arrived we could not find the key box, didn't have phone reception (with a new Germany SIM) and couldn't figure out what part of the emails had instruction we should try to translate from German! Just please put up a sign with a map to the key box and maybe a couple of words in French and/or English! Our family speaks 4 or 5 languages, but German isn't one! We almost slept in the car with 2 kids on our first night.

When we arrived, we were kindly welcomed by a man of staff. He was very friendly and hospitable. He showed us around and treated us really well during our stay.
The location was beautifull and the terrace outside was really inviting.
On our last day we checked out and wanted to have a coffee before we left. We asked if we could order a coffee. The two women behind the bar refused and told us that they only serve guests. We checked out a few minutes ago. It made us feel really awkward and unwelcome.

The setting should have been perfect, but we did not stay - reasons below
On the day of the confirmation, they emailed me in German to say that the kitchen was closed (no restaurant), and the whole place had been booked for a private event with a live band. So much for their USP of a relaxing weekend.

location, close distance to other cities, clean room
very low ceiling, shower had only one wall and while showering the water went all around the place and leaked outside the bathroom, while in the room you could people in the corridor and in the adjacent room, the person checking us out kept speaking German despite us speaking exclusively English

The location is amazing - the nature, the quietness... pure zen. The concept of this lodge is great! It's obviously new and very well thought through. I would say it's perfect for couples.
We travelled with a 2 and 5 years old and we were accomodated in a family room which is not family-with-small-kids friendly. To very least, we missed a table (at least a small coffee-table), a wardrobe (or at least a shelf to put things on) and a tooth brush holder / cups. However, it would be helpful to also have a small kitchenette or at least a working surface with a kettle and some basics (a glass, a spoon, a mug... maybe a small fridge...) as a bare minimum since the hotel does not offer a breakfast-incuded booking option and a restaurant opens only as of 8am. Small kids wake up well before that and at least to have an option to make coffee / tea and prepare some food for them would be nice.
Without going into too many details, we would however suggest a change of pillows and closing the open side of the shower to avoid flooding and water eventually ruining the floor...

The lodge is in a stunning location, with several walks, a kayak place down the road and a viewing point at the top of the hill. The design inside and out is great, we stayed in a double room in the main lodge but would love to try one of the individual apartments next to it. The staff are super friendly, the lad who greeted us, checked us in, showed us the way to our room and even found us a gluten free place for dinner couldn’t have been any more welcoming. The room was lovely and spacious, bed was comfortable, large soft sofa, shared terrace a lovely place for some morning sun and the bathroom was clean with a large waterfall shower. There is a large outside seating area with fire pits and option to sit under cover.
There didn’t seem to be any blinds or curtains which would have been lovely if not for the massive floodlights shining into our room from the outdoor seating area. We’re very much sleep in darkness type people. The lighting outside did seem to be at odds with the style of the rest of the property, I was expecting a more rustic lighting choice which would have created a softer, warmer glow in harmony with the fire pits.

The location is great, in front of the river and in the middle of the nature which is amazing. The loft was very modern, clean, very spacious, we felt like at home.
The restaurant and personnel were very nice.
The personnel doesn't speak very well English but we still managed to understand each other.

Magnificent location (quiet), nice room, nice breakfast
I don't know if it was because my German is to bad. But I missed out the part that we had to make a reservation to have dinner. At arrival it was no longer possibly. Probably because the lack of other guests.
We went out to have dinner and when we returned at 21:15 the entree was closed. We were not informed about the night entry. So a bit of a stressful evening in this peaceful place. But the next morning we had a really nice stroll along the river Saar and a good breakfast.

The location has a nice view. The bed is comfortable.
It’s a hotel for local guests, apparently. Not a single word of English, not so friendly staff. We arrived at 8pm, the guy that greeted us said that if we needed something to drink, we had to go to the restaurant and ask for it. At 8:30pm we went down to buy water because the room doesn’t even have a glass to serve tap water. It was already closed. So, no way to drink water or anything. The rooms have no TV because it’s a place for “digital detox”. You can only hang clothes on the wall, if you have folded clothes and kids stuff, you have to keep it in your suitcase…. and so on… :(

Lovely Location by the river. Clean accommodation.
There are no blinds on the bedroom windows, the cabins opposite have a full view of you. The bathroom was downstairs with only one handrail on wooden stairs. It felt quite unsafe going to the toilet in night because of this. The room I originally booked on Booking.com was listed as dog friendly i was told we needed to upgrade to the lodges and pay an extra E59 which made it quite an expensive stay .

What a gem! Fantastic location, quiet and very cozy tiny house, very helpful and friendly staff and good quality food compared to the price. We (a family of two adults and two children aged 8 and 11) and we had the best time in a Saarcabin. Yes, the place is small and the service might be a bit slow from time to time and the cabin may be missing a few things in terms of a cutting board, glasses and cups for four people, but these minor things are completely compensated for by the tiny house living, the friendliness of the staff, the slow pace atmosphere and last but not least the beautiful location by the Saarschleifen. All in all a 5 out of 5 star review from the family from Denmark.

The location was very nice... right at the river. The room was nice and bright and had a little balcony to sit on. We just stayed for one night and hiked up to the viewpoint to overlook the Saarschleife... very pretty...
We were hoping to eat dinner at their reataurant on Sunaday evening, but apparently it is closed on Sundays which wasn't made obvious from the website...that was a bummer cause I was really excited for the dinner there. If you get in the same situation it It is not recommended to go to the restaurant next door...!
But other than that... the location and the place itself is worth a visit
