Plenty room for all the guests. Always a quick reply if you need help.
Poor flushing toilet. The fridge had been knocked off at the wall so when we arrived there was water in the kitchen and a smell. Also there was no loo roll on our arrival but the shop was over the road so it was an easy fix.

The place is different from the pictures but still good.

Location close to start/finish of Sunderland City runs
Rooms/appliances do not look like pictures. Broken smoke detectors, mold in shower, shower head holder broken, WiFi didn't work. TV didn't work (no satellite channels as advertised and didn't have remote either). Uncomfortable beds. Apartments on floor below are council-provided, and one of residents came to door in the morning asking for money to buy cigarettes. Same person that burnt food after 10pm, had doors opened and smoke got into this apartment upstairs, so we arrived at a smoky apartment. Contacted host, said he didn't know the lady and to try a different WiFi from the building; only worked in the hallway. Other reviews have same complaints and photos of damages and mold from several months ago. Way overpriced for what you get.

Communication with the property owner was brilliant. Great location for where we needed to be
Upon arrival apartment was wide open. There was no key for the door to the apartment and the property was full of damages and wasn't very clean. Windows were left wide open in the lounge so property was cold and heating wasn't working.
This wasn't the apartment we'd originally booked aswell, so we had to quickly rearrange our preplanned sleeping arrangements.
Contacted the property owner who initially said they would get us a key sent over the following morning. This wasn't accepted, so we were promised a key to be sent over in the next couple of hours. As key hadn't arrived by 7pm and a pre-booked event to attend was nearing we went and bought a replacement barrel from Toolstation in order to secure the front door. As our friend arrived back from Toolstation, someone arrived with a key for us. By this point we felt so uncomfortable, so still substituted the barrels. We weren't confident that the property would be secure using the original key, unsure who had one.
Went out after a quick takeaway and upon returning to the property at 3am discovered that the sofa bed was broken. A bed that we wouldn't have needed in the apartment we originally booked (3 bedrooms, 2 with double beds, 3rd room with a double bed plus a bunk with a double at the bottom). Had an awful night's sleep.
Messaged owner following morning to inform of this additional issue and was offered someone to attend to repair or replace. As we had plans for the day and we were only there for one more night we said it was ok but they just needed to be aware.
It was also lucky some of us took sleeping bags as there wasn't enough bedding and towels weren't in abundance neither.

The location was spot on easy walking distance to everything and parking was ample at the front and rear of the building. The apartment was very clean. It was easy to access the apartment. It was quiet at night with no street noises (you can't complain about the seagulls you're by the sea - I took earplugs having lived round the corner before and remembered how loud they are!) There is a fabulous bar The Manor and and Italian restaurant Angelo's literally 2 mins away.
Overall the apartment was a bit tired and had a more student feel to it than a holiday rental and needed a bit of TLC. Something was wrong with the heating and it was 32 degrees and although I asked for help from the host he shared a number and no one responded so we had to sort it out ourselves. Some windows opened and some seemed stuck and we didn't want to 'force' them open. Just a few tweaks will make this place a better experience. We didn't use the kitchen at all we ate out.

Nothing
Literally everything was appalling. Dirty sheets, mould in bathroom, smashed windows with broken handles, damaged flooring, dirty kitchen worktops...etc

The heater didn’t work.

The accommodation was dirty and not welcoming, they have tried to cram in as many beds as possible at the expense of practicality. One room the door didn't open fully making access difficult.
I guess the place is aimed at younger people staying for a party weekend and not very classy.
Could have been cleaner. Kitchen was okay but run down like the rest of the place.

I liked how close to the city center it was, the beds were comfortable.
The internet, was very poor, the sofa was badly ripped and there was a badly cracked mirror, in the sitting room, couldn't use the tv.

Nothing apartment was appalling
The place was filthy rubbish in cubourds there was tinfoil cellotaped for curtains on windows fag ash in toilet , uneaten bread in cubourds what appeared or can only be described as small empty drug bags in cubourd, night club underneath do not take children here was told by host i would get refund and didnt mucked me about and now I am putting photos up he didnt want people to see hadto leave first thing in morning and pay for other accommodation
1.0
it’s close to the city center but the inconvenience made it not worth it
the property was dingy, note do not even bother to book a stay her except you enjoy being cramped up in a small room with your family members and enjoy being rudely woken up by heavy noise and club like loud music by 6am.
5.0
Number of rooms, the living room space
Was not cleaned properly, there was dust and used contact lens, so it was obvious it wasnt cleaned properly. There were other peoples belongings which also made it evident that the place wasnt cleaned. There was popcorn all over the living room floor. Bedding also had a smell so we werent sure if it had been changed based on how unclean the apartment was.
There was only two parking spaces for 6 apartments so parking wasnt "free " as advertised.
The area seemed unsafe so we kept making sure the front door was kept locked however this was constantly left open by the cleaner/people staying there with her.
Poor communication with the cleaner about the check out time. Had to search through emails to prove to her the check out time we requested.

went on trip to see Elton John, location only a mile from venue
everything- not like photos- a health and safety hazard . fire sensor was covered with a plastic bag; plaster around isolators cracked; plaster board had holes in it; kitchen top not secure; kitchen top veneer had a hole in it; blinds had missing slats; bottom drawer front was missing exposing metal runners; kitchen top side missing; hob was filthy. we were in shock at the state of the accommodation (number 3). we booked early to ensure a good location for the concert, the booking stated 3 adults and a baby. we could stay there had to book something miles away, incurring at £70 round trip taxi fare. we contacted the owner, he wasn’t interested, we said that we were going to complain to booking.con, his was was ‘ok’,

The cleanliness as under the corner sofa there was alsorts, T fridge was dirty, under cushions haven’t been hoovered for weeks

The location of the property was ideal for a group of friends and family that were visiting Sunderland for a concert at the Stadium of Light. There were plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the apartment and the Stadium itself was only a 20 minute walk away meaning no buses or taxis were required.
The apartment met our basic needs and was clean enough. However, we did not eat in the apartment and, if we had decided to do so, would have struggled as the equipment provided in the kitchen is limited.
Can highly recommend "Angelo's" Restaurant on West Sunniside. Food was excellent and provided a wonderful birthday meal for 12 people!
Whilst the apartment was "clean enough", meaning the bathroom & kitchen areas were clean and the bedding was fresh etc, there clearly has not been a deep clean done on the apartment for some time. For example, when pulling out the settee bed in the lounge there was a lot of dirt and rubbish underneath. In addition we moved the other settee and the same was found under that too. Likewise under the beds etc. needed a clean.
Also one of the bedroom windows would not open at all meaning for a very hot night for the 3 occupants! It was also the smallest room making it even more uncomfortable!
Some of the earlier comments indicated that there is free parking outside the apartment block, however, there are actually only 2 spaces allocated to the apartments. As the block has at least 6 apartments people have to park elsewhere. We took a risk and parked in the spaces allocated to a children's nursery opposite thinking that as it was the weekend it would be closed. However, other cars risked parking on the double yellow lines on the road!
There was also not enough towels provided. Fortunately we had brought our own but other guests may not!
The kitchen also needs more cups, glasses and cutlery as there is not enough for the 10 guests the apartment holds! Fortunately we ate elsewhere so it was not so much a problem for us although we could not all have a morning cuppa!!!
But despite the above, on the whole the accommodation was fine and good value!
