Clean, good location and very good breakfast
Bathroom was a disaster. Shower cubicle door was hanging off. After trying to fix it back on we had to leave that part closed and had to squeeze through the small gap on the other side.
The fan didn’t work and there was no window!
The toilet flushed but barely.
Bit of a disaster really.

The shower went cold on us
The extractor fan didn’t work so room smelled a bit damp

As soon as my twin sis and I arrived, we were greeted by Sandra and Emily. However, we were in the twin room which was adequate for us as we're pint sized, lol, The beds were comfy, the room was warm, we could see the castle from our window which was ace! I gave it a rating of 9 because I'm an 'attention to detail' kind of person.
We asked for the missing items from reception which was no trouble at all. We also asked for water each night which came in a can, we do drink a lot of water, haha and this ask was met with a smile. Would we stay here again? Absolutely! The location was superb, the premises was clean, we LOVED BREAKFAST!!! Oh my goodness, Sandra and her team for brekkie were superb!! Veggie and vegan brekkie is possible, but I think the milk is dairy for cereal. BTW the veggie sausages are made in house, they're so yummy!!! The hot chox in a mug was lovely, just don't ever put it in a teapot - that was Thursday, haha and I think our taxi driver Andrew of Parks Taxi hire is gonna find out who did it, he was amused, LOL.
Yes, we had a really good week, a good laugh, the weather was great and the Sunningdale was indeed 'Sunny' in character and personality. I came across this hotel by chance and went with it due to it matching my name with the 'Sun' in it and it lived up to it.
The place is dog friendly, which reminds us of Barney the Cocker spaniel, so adorable and we missed seeing his excitable shuffle dance around us when he left. I thought I'd throw that in.
At the time, the restaurant was closed due to personal circumstances - so we made our own arrangements for the week. It did then open on Thursday, but we were already sorted.
We hope you enjoy yourself as much as we did!
What I would kindly suggest is the bedroom window has tiny paint splatters which need to be cleaned off, the door handle needs tightening, leave two teaspoons by the kettle, two of each towel, ensure that the extractor fan works as there is no window in the bathroom and a 'do not disturb sign' for the next visitors that book in, :).

good location very clean staff very friendly
had to park on the street a short distance away
no coffee after evening meal offered a basis Nescafé instant Evidently the coffee machine was broken but an individual cafetière would have been acceptable

Good choice of continental breakfast, fantastic view of the castle and country side.
Too much oil in the cooked breakfast, the property could do with a good deep clean and decorating, wallpaper torn in places, filling holes in the walls and a good deep clean especially the openings of the windows. But I shouldn't have to be telling you this if house keeping was kept on top. Restaurant was closed for evening meal.

The staff were generally great, friendly and helpful.
The vegetarian cooked breakfast was nice, when it arrived.
The bed was comfortable.
The WiFi was decent, very useful given there's little phone signal in Bamburgh.
Breakfast was very slow, apparently because we were vegetarian, though I don't understand if they knew that why things couldn't be pre-cooked, as was obviously the case for the meat breakfasts.
Parking was very problematic, we had to fight for a space and park far down the road one day. It seems all of Bamburgh suffers from this. If you do get in the car park it's not so easy to get out again without some careful manoeuvring.
The TV in the room was poor quality, I thought, the remote didn't work unless you were up close. Not what I'd expect for around £160 a night.
Our room looked out straight onto the car park, so most of the time we had the curtains closed for privacy.
There was no storage in the bathroom, so we had to keep things in our travel bag.

We really enjoyed the location and the staff was super lovely! the place as well felt cosy and welcoming
the walls were a bit too thin and room we had a bit small

Everything, breakfast in particular was probably one of the best I have ever had, certainly in the UK and USA.
Irrelevant questions in survey. Parking might be difficult at the height of "the season", being close to Bamburgh Castle, but I had no difficulty and it was stated on the website quite clearly (in the section most people don't bother to read)

Very friendly and welcoming place to stay. Food was excellent. Ideal location to visit Banburgh Castle and local attractions.
Limited parking. Had to park on street.

The location was perfect. Very close to Bamburgh beach
Very loud, difficult to sleep with creaking floors.

Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast.
The room was a little smaller than expected. The car park was tight. I had to ask my husband to reverse the car out. I would recommend people to park on the road especially if they have a large car.

Great location for the castle , exceptional customer service and the food was excellent
The bathroom in our room needed a bit of TLC but nothing that detracted from our visit and I believe they may be refurbishing in January (not 100%)
3.5
Friendly staff, laid back feel. Well positioned for visiting attractions in the area. Not a fan of buffet breakfasts, but the cooked breakfast was to order and poached eggs cooked well - no wobbly whites..yay.
Can't think of anything to complain about except that the room was too warm (soon sorted) and the en-suite was in need of refurbishment.
