Nice but not Luxury
This home has so much potential. Very spacious. Great bone structure. The kitchen and great room are wonderful for large groups to hang out in. However, the home needs a lot of love and upgrades to be called a luxury home. The house is in desperate need if a deep cleaning. We dropped some thing under the sofa when we went to retrieve it, there was so much dirt and dust. It was quite disgusting. Even the small coffee table in the great room has not been moved for cleaning so much dust and dirt behind and under the beds. The vent above the stove is filled with grease, the sofa is very old and saggy. It is difficult to get comfortable sitting on it. The towels and linens were very scratchy and not soft at all the master bathroom had one sink with a huge hole in it and could not be used. The front of the house is on a busy street. The master bedroom is in the front of the house, and there’s quite a bit of noise when sleeping with the window open. Unfortunately, we had no choice but to sleep with the window open since it was broken and could not be closed, the balcony is amazing, but they provide no furniture to sit outside so one can simply stand to enjoy the view. The kitchen was well stocked overall, but no wine, bottle opener, and no wine glasses. Again for a cabin I might expect that, but not for a luxury home. For the amount of money they charge in for this home, I would have expected much more. I am a frequent VRBO and Airbnb traveler, and have stayed in many Mammoth rentals. This is not on the top of my list with a few upgrades and some deep cleaning, however, this house will be a total gem!!!

Very large beautiful views
Very nice home. Easily sleeps 11 people. Some work needs to be done on the cleaning part between rentals. We found a ton of debris under the couch and beds. All appliances and utensils on site. Great lighting. TV’s throughout. There’s a bent and torn rug that many people tripped over on several occasions, that should be repaired or replaced. But overall, Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable and cozy home with lots of space for large families. Just needs to tighten things up on the maintenance side. Some tables were wobbly. Window cranks were broken on arrival. But overall a good place to stay.

We had a wonderful family trip to Mammoth! We spent lots of time in the cabin with two toddlers and two preschoolers as we watched one of the biggest snow storms from the windows. We appreciated many things about the cabin: the large space, the room layout, the cleanliness, the kitchen tools, working heater evenly throughout the cabin, provided shovel and sleds in the garage, etc. We had fun playing in freshly fallen powder snow right outside the cabin and the location was a very easy drive to Canyon Lodge (especially important since we did not want to be on the icy roads for long)! We were grateful that they had a snow plow come every morning to clear out the street. A couple minor things that needed improvement: the internet was very poor throughout our stay (they dropped off a wifi hot spot during our stay, but it still did not work) and the dishwasher didn't worked sometimes. I wish the management team would have been a more flexible in letting us check in a little early. We had four young children in the middle of the snow storm and we were waiting to get keys for the empty cabin. We called and they were not flexible, even though we had emailed many days before requesting the early checkin. Looking at the booking calendar, there were no other renters the days before so the cleaning shouldn't have been a problem and we didn't see any cleaners leave the cabin while we were waiting. This is the first time I have stayed at a cabin that didn't say, "sure an hour early is no problem". It was not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to have a little understanding and to get the young children in the warm cabin sooner. Overall, we loved our stay and would be happy to return next year!

Mammoth Family Trip
Although our family had been to Mammoth many times in the past to ski, this was our first non-winter trip there. Our stay at Stonegate #5 was wonderful. It easily accommodated the 9 of us. The Master Suite was incredible. The house was extremely comfortable with its spacious living room/dining room/kitchen. The kitchen was very well appointed. The location of the house was perfect - very close to groceries and the dining areas in Mammoth. We dined at nearby Burgers, and the Mogul. Both were great, as was the ice cream shop in the Commons. All in all, a great family vacation, and I highly recommend this location. The property was exactly as advertised, as to location, layout, amenities, etc. The management company was responsive to our contacts about minor furniture dings, etc., that we found upon our arrival, and they returned our security deposit promptly without issue.
