Excellent hospitality. Location was close to the center of town but felt secluded and private.

Aratinga Inn is a 10!!! Rennie and her staff are absolutely adorable. The garden is stunning. The breakfast and afternoon tea (yes it exists!) are homemade and delicious. Rooms are very very clean and cosy. 200% recommended!

We were warmly welcomed by the Dona de casa Rennie from the very beginning. Everyday she gave us the best recommendations what to see and what to do best with our little time at Ilha Grande. Besides the accommodation is located in a lovely and exotic garden. You can feel the familiar atmosphere and that Rennie (Dona da casa) loves what she does and she just owns it. She is such a lovely, helpful and charismatic lady.
We were very happy to have chosen the Araringa Inn and can recommend this place a 100 percent. The breakfast was very delicious too!
Very important: Do not bring heavy luggage with you!!! A backpack is more than enough!
As we had booked the last 2 available rooms (probably one of the smaller rooms) there was not enough space to store the luggage because of the room size. That’s why we recommend to just bring a backpack.

Delicious breakfast. Quiet, calm and peaceful location. Beautiful gardens with hummingbirds all around.
The room was perfect and we had our best nights' sleep in Brazil there.
The staff were all really friendly and Rennie is a brilliant host, it felt like visiting a long lost auntie!

Beautiful Inn, located in a quiet zone. It has very nice common spaces; I loved having breakfast and merienda while watching the hummingbirds. Rennie is a wonderful hostess. She was super kind and gave us very good advice on what to do (and what not to) in Abraão. Thank you!!
Everything was fine; we really enjoyed our stay!

It was away from the hustle and bustle of the island, but still a quick walk away.

Rennie is the perfect host - incredibly passionate and her knowledge of Isla Grande is limitless! It had rained a lot as we arrived on the island, so she was so helpful in recommending things we could do/enjoy in the conditions.
We were in one of the double rooms; it was quite small, with no real space to put clothes etc. We also felt the bathroom was in need of a deep clean (there was an odour - only partially masked by a toilet chemical - which didn’t seem to be present in the room next door). It is also worth noting there isn’t a sea view as advertised (it was only visible from the shared veranda?)

This is the best place to stay ! Rennie will think of everything and make your stay the best you van imagine. Our final stop in Brazil which we will always remember as such a wonderfull place

nothing of reasonable note.

A fabulous rainforest, garden retreat. Incredible host who goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is both comfortable and filled with activities, as her knowledge of the island is vast. The inn is around a 3/5 minute walk from the village which is an easy meander to the shops and restaurants. The inn is generally quiet and very clean.
The only thing I can comment on is that although the room I stayed in was clean and cosy, more room to hang clothes etc in the rooms would have been good. There isn't much room to manoeuvre when your bags are on the floor.

Aratinga Inn was the most wonderful place to stay, for four idyllic days in Isla Grande. Rennie is an expert on the island, and couldn't have been more helpful. The property is amazing value for money, the bedrooms extremely comfortable, and the afternoon tea a bonus! Thanks so much, Rennie.

We liked everything. From the nice garden with the hummingbirds, the delicious breakfast & 4 o’clock coffee, tea and cake moment, to the charming rooms; but mostly we liked the warm heart and good vibes of the owner Rennie.

The gardens were beautiful. The food was excellent, as was the coffee, even though it’s not a restaurant you get that great experience. It’s super well located and a quick walk to everything that the little town has to offer.

We had a wonderful stay here. Aratinga is Rennie and Rennie is Aratinga. One of the most helpful and welcoming hosts I have ever experienced. The room is beautiful and the property is well maintained. Breakfast and afternoon both delicious. We were sad to leave!
The only thing that could have been improved was the air con, it could have been stronger.

Everything from the enthusiastic welcome from Rennie the owner, the care and consideration of me as a guest, the tips and advice and lovely staff. If you're looking for tranquility, fresh breakfast with view of feeding hummingbirds, wake up to the sound of tropical birds, be near everything you need and get exceptional help with anything then this is the place for you. Next time I'd like a game of backgammon with Rennie!
Nothing to dislike but would have loved a wardrobe because I had been living out of my suitcase for several days before.
