Newly refurbished, modern and clean and only about 10 minutes drive from Wurzburg.

The room was exceptionally clean, there was a huge choice of teas in the room, lovingly restored old building. The breakfast was lovely, only 2 minutes walk from the building in a nice, local bakery.

The sofa bed was a little hard for me, but not uncomfortable.

Disappointing hotel

The hotel is well located, 5 minutes by car from Würzburg. The building and decoration are very nice. Possibility of free parking on site (note the limited number of places). Breakfast is taken in a bakery 5 minutes walk from the hotel: good breakfast but not exceptional (1 hot drink, 1 glass of orange juice, 2 small breads, butter, jam and accompaniment such as cheese or ham)

Hotel without reception. It was clear at the time of booking. But it works when everything is perfect, which was not our case. Reservation of a room for 3 people, but the sofa bed (for the 3rd person) was not ready (you have to call a special number to ask for support). No towels at all in the bathroom (they were missing too). Breakfast vouchers were not in the room as expected. In short, a lot of missing things, and no staff on site to help! As for the bedroom: a small living room on the ground floor (without tv) and the bedroom on the mezzanine. To access the mezzanine, modern but very steep staircase, not at all suitable for children. The bathroom / WC is on the ground floor, next to the small living room but very poorly insulated, almost no privacy when you are in the WC. The concept of the hotel without reception only works if everything is perfectly checked by the staff, which was not the case. Lot of things to improve. Very expensive for the poor level of service.

The road getting down to the hotel is confusing and once there finding the right door wasn't easy.

The room was fine, but the hotel exterior is in need of repair.

The phone number of the exterior sign would not work properly. The country code or something wasn't right, and we had trouble calling to get help. Turns out the 0 (zero) in front of the number is not needed for the phone number to work.

Nice location with atypical rooms

Nice "atypical" comfortable room, downtown with a short walking distance to restaurants.

The hotel is near the train station. In the early morning hours, there was already a lot of train traffic which was quite noisy. Breakfast possibility outside the hotel.

Great place for a stop over!!

Good size bedrooms, easy (electronic) access, very new, clean & comfortable. Parking available at the property. Although the property doesn’t have a bar, wine, beer & drinks are available and can be accessed in good faith. Breakfast is catered for at the nearest bakery. Definitely worth a visit when you want to stop over on your way to Austria!

The wine selection guests could purchase in the hallway fridge. Comfortable bed. Very clean rooms.

The total absence of staff at the premises and the lack of a communal room for guests to meet up made the place feel cold and uninviting. It felt more like a dormitory or an AirBnB than a hotel. We found it a bit inconvenient in the morning to have go to a busy bakery with only one breakfast option for Wiener Botschaft guests. The stairs in the room are difficult for a senior citizen to use. The lighting in the room was inadequate - it was much too dark, particularly for walking up and down stairs. Bathroom lighting also too dark. Parking was tight - not enough space for all the cars, especially large ones like pickups and caravans.

Effortless stay

Wonderfully renovated, great art in the hallway, very clean, very cool (airco) and a comfy bed. Great location and cute town. Easy access!

Loud unexplicable sounds (ticks) from behind the headboard throughout the night and very steep stairs. A bit scary at night if you want to visit the bathroom. Rather close to railway so you hear that (or highway) but we fell asleep immediately :-)

it was clean, bed comfortable, bathroom spacious

felt like an abandoned, haunted house.: no welcoming atmosphere, no personal greeting, no one to contact in person or per mail or telephone. had to check in and let ourselves in with codes we could hardly read due to lack of light at entrance . had difficulty with the code to our room -had to try three times before it worked. no cosmetic mirror in bath , only shower gel, no cosmetic articles no gratuitous bottle of water in the room, no personal greeting, no mini bar- had to go out into the hall and use another code. no breakfast room and the bakery recommended for breakfast was very small and unattractive. i still can’t reach anyone to have something i left behind sent to me. much too expensive for what was offered.

Nice stay in the heart of Veitshöchheim

The place has an amazing location within walking distance to the old town and the castle. You can conveniently park your car inside the property. Our room was like new and very spacious, considering that it is in a very old mansion. A nice touch is the selection of wines and beers in the lobby fridge and coffee or tea in the room. Make sure you get to visit the castle and its amazing park.

There is no reception or staff around and I think this should be communicated directly on the hotel description. We managed without it since all the information was shared in messages. Still the hotel didnt react to our request to get a baby cot and texting them on a Friday night is not really convenient. Additionally, you have to explicitly book the breakfast, otherwise you wont get the coupon for the nearby bakery. The beds and the pillows were not very comfortable. The shower had only a rain head no handheld shower head.

A true treasure, amazing hotel!

This hotel is simply PERFECT! It’s design is an amazing mixture of the classical style of the region, and the latest architectural solutions. The coffee + tea offered in the room, as well as the small gift was a pleasant surprise. The room is tidy, beautiful, spacious, comfortable. Everything I expect from a hotel.

The only problem was that I didn’t book for more nights :) Can’t wait to return for some more time!
