Great funky hotel, nice decor, clean and tidy
No reception, staff helped a little, why have staff standing there and you have to check yourself in, was given a key to a room which didn’t work, had to go back and ask for another, no apology, no tea or coffee or milk in room, had to return and ask for some. Bed dangerous, no room to walk round and unsafe trying to navigate the stairs in the night, shower wouldn’t drain, breakfast chaotic, no direction as to what was included in the overnight cost, could be great with a reception with staff that were more helpful, on check out it didn’t work because the new room key didn’t match my name, also charged twice for the amenities, which we did get a refund for but that’s self check in for you, it doesn’t work. After a ten hour flight the last thing you want to do is check yourself into a system that doesn’t work! No parking unless you paid the valet service, which from what I saw your car got put in a piece of wasteland, we parked on the road for free.

Hands-down the most modern and high tech place we’ve stayed at (and there have been hundreds). The rooms are ridiculously cool— cabinet doors that open to fridge, freezer, dishwasher…. And a room darkening shade that doubles as a projection screen! (Ceiling mounted projector for streaming services.)
You can do everything without interacting with a human (if you’re tech savvy), but I found everybody on the staff to be absolutely delightful.
All doors to the building are inaccessible except the one marked “Red Barber” (which apparently is not a barbershop, but the name of the rooftop bar which is rarely open). Could the entrance be more obtuse?
The immediate area is bland and ugly, but cool stuff can be found a few blocks away (especially heading toward downtown).

Breakfast was good though choice of hot dishes was limited. Rhino District was really fun with lots to see and do.
Didn't prefer self check-in, but the staff was great, even though it looked like they had a lot to do.

An extremely well equipped room, a stove, dishwasher provided. Unusual layout for the room but everything I needed for my stay. The bathroom and shower was very impressive.
Price for food and drink at the hotel seemed rather extortion it, a simple drink and a yogurt setting me back over $10s

i loved the rooms, felt like i could live there and the hot tubs on top were exceptional.
i wish all the rooms had a projector screen we were excited for that part but didn’t get one. the roof top bar was closed because of winter, and the view from the room was not great, had to look at the building next to us. also ABSOLUTELY NO free parking, which was kind of ridiculous considering the money paid.

modern and comfortable hotel. just in from the train from the airport which is perfect.
there is nobody to receive you when you get in or out.
I didn't receive the invoice that I need to be reimbursed by my company despite 2 requests.
the video projector in the room is too noisy to be used

The Catbird is a very cool hotel with an authentic laid back and hip vibe. The room was very clean and stylish. The loft was fun for the first couple days and we enjoyed the tv projector / window shade screen.
The toilet paper is terrible. I would have happily paid another $20+ per night and got a decent roll of toilet paper.

Best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. Check-in was easy and the room and lobby were so pretty.

Great location in the RiNo area, and only a few minutes walk to the train station. The place was clean, and felt roomy. Spacious bathroom. Inclusion of washing machines and dryers was a bonus. Nice to have kitchen amenities - a bit small, though enough for what we needed for a few days. Breakfast was great, and staff were generally pretty friendly and helpful. Easy checkout process.
Not necessarily a negative, though a note that the housekeeping schedule is infrequent - around weekly? Not a lot of space around the bed, which might make it hard to move around. Underbed storage is neat in principle and we only used them a bit, though a bit short in height and is a bit heavy to move.

Location was perfect and very walkable. The attention to detail in the decor and use of space was fascinating and inspiring.
Nothing

Breakfast was delicious, but staff were often overwhelmed with the number of guests. There were often long waiting times for breakfast of 50 minutes or more, the food arrived cold and there was often no coffee left, which was then not refilled for a long time.
Staff need to be better trained. My room was the last one in the corridor and so it was not cleaned once for 6 nights. I had the "service requested" sign on the door several times, but no one from housekeeping ever arrived in my room.

The hotel is perfectly situated in a newer part of town that's recently undergone a revitalization. It was super clean and charming and even had a fun rooftop bar with excellent drinks. The free breakfast exceeded our expectations.
I'm 5'3", about 130ish lbs and I found it a little bit difficult to navigate around the raised bed; just something to be mindful of but the bed itself was extremely comfortable. The lighting was moody and cozy but made it very difficult to apply makeup.

The lobby and lounge area was very cool and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful.
The self checkin was a little difficult to navigate and the rooms had very small couch, lounge floor space due to the raised bed.

The location , food and uniqueness . The rooftop was also amazing .
The bathroom could be more private

Room was clean and spacious. Location was pretty good for our needs. Breakfast was decent
Private rooftop party with loud, loud music that bounced of the building and shook the whole building. It was over at 10:00, but for us traveling and needing to rest on a different time zone. It was pretty annoying
2.5
No coffee machine in the room. They only clean the room if you stay 5 days so they never cleaned my room. I had to take out my own trash and never got clean linens in 3 nights there.
See above. Disappointing visit

this is such an incredible property, the breakfast was delicious, the rooms are so cozy we could've stayed in the room the entire stay haha! theres so much design and thought put into this property i highly recommend it!
room cleaning is weekly so you have to ask for it at the lobby but for a short stay it was fine.

The decor was so nice. There was so much attention to detail. The room was clean, comfy, and relaxing. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The price was lower then most hotels within the area. You get a lot of bang for your buck. We were very pleased with our stay and will definitely stay here again.

Great location in a walkable area. Very visually beautiful and artistic. Best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had, but plan to spend some time there, you can’t just expect to eat and run.
The super modern shower was confusing. We called the guest services for help and they said they would send someone, and they never did. It was also a very uncomfortable sleep. The bed was comfortable, but the room temp was not. There was no airflow, and regardless of the temperature set on the thermostat, the AC never kicked on long enough to cool the room. After a week in the mountains without electricity or running water, we were extremely excited for a warm shower, and a comfortable nights sleep… neither of which we got.

Love the complimentary breakfast every morning as well as their coffee. The interior design feels very sleek and modern, with a cozy touch in the work/play room. We absolutely love the room layout + amenities they offered, especially the dishwasher. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The area around the hotel are under a few construction so there was not much to look at unless you walk/travel to other neighborhoods. There isn’t a desk in our room even though there was in the photo, so we had to eat at the low coffee table. Also our window view is straight across from another the room; luckily that room is vacant but I guess you can ask them to switch if you want.

Light rail to hotel, great ambiance, wonderful staff. Clean rooms, overrall out of ordinary experience

Extremely friendly staff. The bed and room were very comfortable and the rain shower was nice. Water station was fantastic - nice cold water!
I could hear the room above rolling the under bed storage in and out.

Very clean and modern. We loved having a good breakfast included each morning. Parking in the area around the hotel is free on the weekends. The rooms are very cool with lots of nice features, including a large projector and mini fridge. We felt safe both in the area and in the hotel. Walking distance to the train from the airport was great.
There are a lot of perks to this hotel, but no directions on how to utilize them. For instance, we felt awkward asking for directions on ordering breakfast the first day, and only figured out we could order orange juice for free the last day. We never got instructions on how to acquire items from the playroom. The lobby had a cool bespoke vibe, but the lack of useable eating height tables was frustrating when trying to find a spot for breakfast. The staff in the lobby were very busy, and we felt like we were inconveniencing them to ask for clarification or help.

The room, the common areas, breakfast
The hotel is too far from downtown and the
Ma museums.
