Clean & safe, but the live music has too much bass.

Friday night live music on roof on 9th floor. They had the bass turned up so much I could hear it in my room on the 6th floor till they stopped playing at 2:00am. Phone & clock in room did not work.

Hotel lindo, boa localização, preço muito alto, pode melhorar o atendimento

O design do quarto é lindo, assim como o hotel e sua decoração. Ele é muito bem localizado, basta você subir uma rua e estará na Calçada da Fama. A limpeza é ótima, a cama confortável. Uma das recepcionistas me falou "bem-vinda de volta" na minha língua, quando eu voltei de um passeio e subi para o meu quarto. Achei um gesto atencioso da parte dela lembrar que sou brasileira. Fiquei no 3 andar com vista para a rua e o barulho do bar embaixo não me incomodou, não achei tão alto como esperava. Talvez nos andares mais altos seja diferente.

Atendimento de uma recepcionista específica: Quando estava no check in, a recepcionista informou que não aceitavam dinheiro, apenas cartão de crédito. Eu tinha o valor em cash, mas ela não aceitou, o que pra mim não faz sentido um estabelecimento não aceitar dinheiro, mas tudo bem. No aplicativo do meu cartão, eu tinha colocado apenas a opção de aproximação, e tentei mudar, mas não consegui. A recepcionista foi grossa enquanto tentávamos resolver o problema. Tive que usar meu cartão de débito e pagar o valor TOTAL da estadia, + o dinheiro seguro. Não tinha esse valor no cartão de débito e precisei fazer uma transferência, o que demorou um pouco. No processo, a recepcionista continuou não sendo amistosa. Inclusive, reparei que ela levava todos os hóspedes que faziam o check in até o elevador, e não fez o mesmo comigo quando terminei o meu checkin. O quarto, apesar de lindo, não tem armários, apenas duas gavetas embutidas na cama, com um cofre dentro. Não há café da manhã, eles apenas disponibilizam café, chá e leite de manhã (inclusive, estavam ótimos. (Não se esqueçam dessa dica, porque eu não percebi que tinha e acabei pagando caro por um, no café que tem dentro do hotel). Não há netflix, e outros streamings na TV instalados, apenas o google chrome cast).

Yes but some staff need further training

The Tommie Hollywood Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The atmosphere was welcoming, with a fantastic top-floor bar offering great views. It's conveniently located next to a lovely restaurant and within walking distance to the metro and local attractions. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, with reliable internet. One of the highlights was the complimentary morning coffee, which helped kickstart my day on a positive note. Additionally, the hotel's happy hour in the afternoon was exceptional, offering complimentary drinks and snacks for an hour, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere for guests. and the afternoon happy hour with complimentary drinks and snacks was a delightful bonus. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay in Hollywood.

While my stay at the Tommie Hollywood Hotel was overall enjoyable, I was disappointed with the attitude of the reception staff during check-out. Initially, I requested to pay with a different credit card, to which the receptionist agreed. However, upon returning to settle the bill, he denied that I had asked to use a different card, insisting I had not made the request. This misunderstanding escalated when he dismissed my explanation and continued to insist that I had not communicated my preference clearly, even though I distinctly remember doing so. The receptionist appeared distracted, perhaps engaged in a conversation with a colleague, which seemed to affect his attention to my request. This experience left a sour note and impacted my overall impression of the hotel. I suggest that hotel management pay closer attention to staff training and ensure that all interactions with guests are handled with attentiveness and professionalism. Clear communication and attentiveness to guest needs are crucial aspects of hospitality that should be consistently upheld.

everybody was so attentive and location is perfect.

it didn’t bothered me, but if you’re looking for a peaceful stay on weekends might think about not getting a room near the rooftop cuz of the bar

Good location, trendy hotel

Great rooftop pool area, helpful and friendly staff and comfy bed.

The noise from the Mexican restaurant downstairs was way too much - we asked to change rooms to the other side of the building and it was completely silent thankfully. We did have to pay a room change fee but it was worth it.

Decepção

Atendimento ruim! Problemas no check-in. Hotel tem uma balada dentro dele e não possui acústica adequada, não para dormir até a balada terminar. Foi decepcionante para mim ter escolhido esse hotel, totalmente fora dos padrões hyatt que estou acostumada.

C’était proche de notre lieu de visite, déco très sympa.

Le bruit !!!! C’est un hôtel qui a des soirées sur le toit, en bas au restaurant et la sono se répand dans tout l’hôtel !!!!

Great option! Would return!

This hotel is close to many local attractions, rooftop bars, restaurants. The room (a suite) was spacious, well appointed and clean. The common spaces were nice as well. There were activities such as social hour. The lobby team is friendly and helpful.

Things I didn't love were the late check in at 4pm, and the lack of a shared quiet space (with no music).

Posizione abbastanza comoda, sempre con l’auto però. Il letto ero grande e molto comodo. Il bagno era abbastanza spazioso.

Would not recommend staying here, for the price it was so underwhelming.

Clean.

The rooms were so tiny, with no room to leave your suitcases, it was basically a bed and toilet. Some staff members were rude and un-accommodating. The location is awful and unsafe, you are right next to a bunch of homeless people and do not feel safe walking the streets.

Wonderful stay, loving

Very clean, nice room and amenities. Valet parking guys were very welcoming and nice.

After 11:30 they don’t let anybody into the rooftop bar through the hotel. I was already in the elevator and part of the entrance and the guy turned me down and stuffed the elevator with a food cart instead letting me get out of it.

The location was good.

The staff were so unhelpful and in a case I can say rude. The first 2 days if my visit I was so ill so I had to stay in my bed in the room. The wifi of the room was not working at all. I called the reception a few times they said they are looking into it but nothing happened.. I went ( while being so ill) to the reception and one of the staff who was there, as a reply to my question about the wifi she said there is nothing I can do in a very impolite manner. On the other hand as I booked this property for two stays with two days gaps, in my second stay they said that they wont accept cash at the hotel- Im an Iranian and due to sanctions on Iran we dont have credit cards so I always pay by cash unless a cardholder friend us with me- they gave me a very hard time without offering any assistance in exceptions to a visitor who was visiting LA for the first time without knowing anybody in the city and not having any other accommodations. I spoke to the manager and he emphasized that the hotel is cashless and there is no way that they can do anything about it… His way of conversation was with no empathy and without any offer for options. I really experienced a very stressful time until I could manage somebody I knew in LA to come with her card… If I really had other options I would definitely would not have stayed in that hotel…

I stayed at the 8th floor, and it was a terrible night! The receptionist said that it will be loud so i should have ear plugs. It was so loud that i couldn’t sleep

Buena ubicación pero habitación muy pequeña y sin ventilación.

Buena ubicación, cama cómoda, limpio, el Rooftop muy agradable y la piscina muy bien. El personal muy amable y atento. Hay café y te por las mañanas en el lobby. Nuestra habitación era muy silenciosa pese al bar del tejado donde el fin de semana había bastante jaleo.

La habitación es muy pequeña, ni siquiera cabe un armario ni un escritorio. No hay nevera ni microondas. La ventana de la habitación no se abre y no hay ventilación en el baño con lo que se queda todo húmedo y no se puede ventilar. Hay un aire acondicionado que solo puede calentar o enfriar, no se puede ventilar y además saca el aire de la habitación, no del exterior. El único parking es valet ($55 por noche en Oct 2023), pero hay bastantes parking públicos cerca del hotel.

Run, it's a trap

It has a swimming pool. A few of the front desk people is nice

The evening front desk guy was not welcoming at all. No explanation of the hotel services at all. Rooms are small. No wardrobe. There is a hidden mandatory 25$ daily fee for "amenities". There is a bar at the ground floor very very noisy. We needed to ask to be moved to a different room. The surroundings are full of people living in the street. We were charged double for the parking. There are 20$ parking lots in the next street. Wannabe boutique hotel
