The space and design of the hotel was very modern and impressive. Very high tech.
The platform bed was difficult to get out of, my foot slipped as I stood up when I got up.

location is excellent. room is very comfortable with plenty of sitting setup and huge windows with views, which is really nice. I requested early check in and it was honored. which really made a difference to my experience.
the safe is the room is locked when I checked in.

The building is a beautifully repurposed YMCA. The room was very well-designed to be both pleasant and functional. We had a view of the church across the street. The location is close to Sunnyside, a great neighborhood with lots of restaurants and interesting shops. If you don't need to be in downtown Pittsburgh, this is a very good location to use as a base to explore the city.
I knew that this would be a virtual hotel, so I can't fault them for that. But it does feel strange to be in a hotel where you rarely see another human being, and, if you do, they are other guests, not staff. I think they shouid do something to liven up the place--perhaps having a restaurant next to the lobby. In their defense, the virtual aspect of the hotel is well-thought out. The check in instructions were clear and we got quick answers when we texted questions to the mysterious Kasa employees located in some mysterious place in the world (but just not in the hotel itself). Also in their defense--the hotel was less expensive than equivalent hotels that have full staff, so I can't complain about that either.

Location, room
Loud wedding guests late at night and WELL into the morning, unhelpful staff, lack of staff on site, apathetic customer care, no offering of comps and almost gaslighting communications, scientifically absurd quiet hours decibel threshold

This is an average basic hotel. Nice decor and cool looking rooms. Virtual check-in was very easy and the digital key worked every time. Free drinks were nice. It was also super clean and there were a ton of towels.
The bed was super low and very hard. There was no room safe and no luggage cart or table to put luggage on. While the neighborhood was pretty quiet, it was sketchy for a single woman. Street parking was ample, but I did worry about my car getting broken into.

Pipes were pretty noisy from adjoining rooms, but otherwise a really nice stay all around

clean room, good amenities
the lights were blinking a lot on my last day. I tried to turned them off and on again which kinda fix it . but it was good overall.

Convenient location, good price
The fan could not be turned off making the room uncomfortably cold.

There were no staff to check in - you had to use IT to confirm before hand to remotely check in- it took 3 calls and over an hour - there was some kind of loud rave going on in the first floor gym late into the night and I did not want to use the ear plugs they gave us - never coming back.

No breakfast on location. I walked over to Whole Foods for breakfast.
My television was not working when I arrived. I tried speaking with the staff but there were only Spanish speaking people doing cleaning. One of them, Evelyn, tried to help but nothing worked. I sent an e-mail to Kasa and received a suggestion for fixing another brand of television. No help at all. No one from Kasa checked back with me until I wrote another e-mail complaining about the television. Luckily I had a good book with me.
The coffee brewer also was not functioning.

Great location, the old Ace Hotel. Parking was easier than I thought, just download the Pitttsburgh app.
Kinda weird to never see anyone who works there.

Safe & convenient, well-lit city parking a short walk away. Self check-in was clearly explained, and it was easy to find and get into our room using the provided code. Very clean room!
Lack of personal interaction with anyone was a bit unnerving and sad. No food available other than at the bar area in the lobby (which was closed in the morning).

Clean, cool location, good for one night
Our room was soooooo small, we had to be on top of each other. Parking was kind of a drag and costly. I left something in my room and had to go back after checkout and it was a legitimate disaster trying to get a hold of someone to let me back in, find it, the whole ordeal was painful and a long time.
