Location is fabulous! We walked to several wonderful restaurants - even found a great happy hour nearby. Our hostess called us the day before to check in with us and was extremely accommodating. We had to leave early to catch our train, but she graciously asked about food allergies and arranged a personal breakfast items in our suite so we could eat breakfast before we had to leave. Above and beyond!

The common rooms, dining room, library, living room and porch were very comfortable and beautiful. There was original art work on the walls. I could watch the sun set over the Susquehanna River. The parking was great for a personal car. The breakfast was excellent, especially the baked oatmeal. I liked the ample towels in the bathroom and the 2 sources of water in the shower. The curtains in the bedroom were easily adjustable & kept out light well.
This location is close to the capitol buildins. It is easy to walk there.
It was difficult to open the front door to get into this house. At one point I had to knock on the glass door until a resident came down & let me in.
I found that there was a lot of traffic noise in the morning.

The house turned B&B stands up to the historical midtown district standards. It is immaculate and the staff are so nice and gracious. I’m sad we only stayed 1 night!
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

The place was very charming and centrally located. the house had a beautiful view of the the river across the street. It was in walking distance to many wonderful restaurants. Carolyn, the innkeeper while we were there, was amazing. She went above & beyond to make my husband & I welcome & comfortable. She made her famous chocolate cookies for a night time snack and made amazing breakfast the 2 mornings we were there. We can't wait to come back. Thanks again Carolyn!
We had to leave.

I liked everything. Friendly staff, great location, nice room, excellent breakfast. They put a lot of effort into making things just right. They even gave me a great recommendation of a restaurant for dinner.
I have no complaints.

A beautiful house with a charming sun room.
I had difficulty adjusting the temperature in the bedroom.

Inn keeper was great friendly and took care of our needs
The area around the place was not nice enough to walk around and feel safe

The location was great, the room (we stayed in the Elizabeth Room) was comfortable and inside amenities were also really good. The Breakfast was delicious, but I missed my supper crispy bacon or other meats. The Quiche and the Baked oatmeal were just delicious and we loved the chocolate chip cookies! The Innkeeper Carolyn, took care of all our needs while visiting (She is a star!!). I will definitely return, there was a lot to see and do and need more time to continue exploring.
There were not enough meat options for breakfast. The Parking space was tight and was very hard to maneuver. We have a large vehicle and driving around was not doable, so we had to walk everywhere.

Would have preferred the owners to stay onsite.

Nice location, quaintness

Great location! Walking distance to lots of restaurants and the art / craft show held along the river. The breakfast choices were very nice and the young ladies who attended to breakfast both days were lovely.
The only thing that was a bit unusual was the issues we had with the HULU set-up. Internet access could have been the reason as we encountered that with the vendors at the art show and the BIG 33 game we attended. But we were not in our room enough to really care about the sporadic reception.

Loved that it is not a chain hotel, one of the few non-chain options in the middle of Harrisburg. The staff tries very hard--they are delightful-- and it's spotlessly clean and quite comfortable. Breakfast is in a cheerful room at a group table where it was easy to meet other travelers. Liked the gated parking, seemed important in the area.
Bedroom a bit cramped and looked our right into the windows of an apartment building. The breakfast food was decent; for the price it could have been a bit more elaborate (one morning they served homemade muffins & frittata but the next rather dry scrambled eggs & sausage with packaged bread you toasted yourself).
4.5
The facility itself, the location, the shower, breakfast. The person making and serving breakfast (Susanne?) was lovely and it felt good to see someone at last.
I would like to have been greeted upon arrival rather than having to deal with multiple combinations for various locks. We use combination locks at home but these were difficult. We’d try several times until the front door would unlock without ever knowing what we were doing wrong.

The location was perfect. I am a nurse practitioner and attended our state advocacy day at the capital. It was a wonderful site and a 15 minute walk to the capital. The staff were so accommodating to my allergies to scents.
we had trouble with the Keurig in the room but it was not a big deal. we used the one in the foyer.

There is a convenient parking area next to house. Breakfast was excellent. Room was well appointed, loved the large tiled shower with 2 shower sprays. We walked to dinner, a show and also along the riverside across the street. Great location!

Everything was wonderful and the breakfast did not disappoint! Carolyn was a lovely host and she takes very good care of her guests. This was like a home away from home and made a work trip an enjoyable experience.

Everything! I come all the time.

Contactless check in, prompt text response from inn keeper to questions, bathroom heater and water pressure
Breakfast options did not fit my schedule. I should have asked if they had grab n go options.
4.5
Such a lovely property and easy check in. Room was very nice. The location was just great and the amenities were terrific as well. Fridge and coffee in room as well as in the 2nd floor common area. The view was charming and the two staff me members I dealt with were just as efficient and helpful and friendly as anyone could want.
The only thing I would say is that the bedding could have been a little better. More updated and easily cleanable duvet. I’m not a fan of bedspreads that don’t get cleaned often enough. And more pillows would have been a nice choice if you needed them.
