The style of the rooms is really nice. The view was beautiful and lush!
This place is a really nice hideaway
This place is great for 2-3 days as a solo traveler.
The price was high for what you get.
No a/c, no hot water kettle in the room or complimentary coffee for guests.
I felt that i'm staying in a room at a restaurant and less of a resort or hotel. you are kinda paying extra for the name of the place.
The place was really empty during my stay of 5 days, which was a bummer as a solo traveler.

Schöne Anlage mit gepflegtem Garten.
Sehr freundliches Personal.
Nur ein paar Gehminuten von der wunderbaren Zen Beach entfernt.
- Muffiger Geruch in Bungalow
- Morgens Instruktionen/Kommandos
von Trainingscenter mithören (Chalet 5)
- Vorgelagerte Bucht ist schön aber zum Baden ungeeignet.

It’s located in a beautiful setting with so many plants and the bamboo huts are very special and have everything you need. Also the staff is super friendly.
The beds could be a bit more comfortable

I loved that it’s in the nature and next to a healing center. The location was great and the staff were helpful.
As it’s in nature there were some mini guests in the room.

The resort is nicely done, very green / tropical , but the bamboo huts are super small and not much space if there are two of you.
Unfortunately you are woken up by the shouts and music of the stupid sports instructor from 08 am - so if you want to decide for yourself how long you want to sleep, you should avoid this place, as the bamboo huts are open and correspondingly noisy - we were glad to have only been there one night.
the resort also keeps a small monkey, Tied to a rope - not nice to see and far away from ok

This was my Second time staying at bamboo bay, I love the cute little beach huts with the hammock for relaxing on the porch and the location for me is amazing, being right next to Orion yoga healing centre, it’s also very close to many restaurants, supermarket, atms and ‘happy’ beach
Just one small detail, you are provided with two bottles of water in your fridge on the first day but they are not replenished after that and despite a fitness centre being on site there is nowhere to fill your water bottle up, I’ve been travelling all over Asia for six weeks now and everywhere I’ve stayed the water bottles or water filter machine have been provided/available every day of my stay. For the price you pay I think this should be included.

Perfect place! We rented a Superior bungalow. Beautiful, unrealistically clean, very few insects (do not be afraid :). The owners are new and they are a lovely couple from South Africa. They will tell and explain everything to you. The place is quiet and cozy. There is an exit to the water, but swimming there is unlikely to work. However, 5 minutes away, the best (in our opinion) beach on the island is Zen beach. One minute walk from resort the healing center. In general, for calmness , island aesthetics, beautiful photos and a pleasant atmosphere, exactly right place!
everything is wonderful! a small detail is the beach - it is great for romantic evenings, but it is better to swim at the nearby Zen Beach

Amazingly beautiful place settled in a lush tropical garden! We spent two weeks there and enjoyed every moment in our bamboo hut and the green environment. Really great hospitality, both owners and staff...

Super nice and small property where you feel like in the jungle, very green and well maintained. The hut itself and especially the terrace with a hammock was so cozy and I felt very comfortable. Staff is also very helpful, the owners are from South Africa and very friendly too. But keep in mind this is a simple hut and a special experience you can´t compare to a normal hotel room. Also expect jungle sound of animals. There are good restaurants and cafes nearby I visited couple times. I was not bothered of the healing centre next to it. Wifi is working extremly good even in the hut. I really enjoyed my stay.
The hut is a little bit smaller as I expected, my hut was the only one without glass doors but will get changed soon I got told. Would have been nice to get water bottles replaced every day.

I was doing the detox program in Orion. For that purpose, Bamboo bay is ideal location. It is even closer to Orion than some of the accommodation from Orion itself. And Rudolf and Rachel were super nice.
It would be great if there were drinking water in the resort.

It was a very lovely stay with super friendly and supportive hosts & a perfect location. My bamboo house was designed as a tree house in the middle of a beautiful garden, which makes you feel like being in the jungle, but at the coast at the same time. I also loved the animals (dogs, cats, chicken and ducks) around and just a street further you have a big variety of very good restaurants, shops and everything you need.
In the first nights you need to get comfortable with the jungle feeling first, but then it is really nice to hang out on your own little balcony enjoying the lively environment.

Nice authentic bamboo bungalows with great potential. Good wifi. Nice hosts. A lot of nature all around and a beautiful view to the ocean. You can hear nature and ocean, which is nice.
If you are looking for a quite sanctuary to chill at, this won’t be it. Constant noises from the outside (I’m not talking about nature) - car and motorbike sounds from the road, unnecessary rooster at 7am, audible chatter from the reception area and early morning screams from the gym area. The hospitality also leaves much to be desired. There were no hand soap or shower gel (shampoo and conditioner were provided tho) in our Superior Chalet, and no drinking water. When we approached the reception if we can refill our water bottles, they said they can’t offer us anything except to buy some water from them. Not what you’d expect from a $50/night experience in Thailand. Judging by the previous reviews, where guests mentioned they were charged to use certain gym equipment, there seems to be a pattern.
Right at the entrance of Bamboo Bay there is a concrete bump, that scratches the bottom of your motorbike each time you are trying to enter the area. And you can’t avoid it. Doesn’t seem to be well thought out, considering that almost everyone is riding a motorbike here.

We were warmly welcomed at the beginning by the hosts. But Once they showed us to our room we had near to no contact with them.
When we arrived to the property it was dusty and dirty on the shelves, towels had brown spots on them and the floor board gaps were very wide exposing entrances for bugs and other insects. Had to cover with clothing. The shower had no hot water which I would expect for a £50 a night property. Also the en-suite bathroom is open plan and there is no door so there is no privacy. Very disappointed with this property. Would not recommend to anyone unfortunately, and would not return!

Dolf and Michelle were very welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect for the beach, restaurants, the gym and yoga studios.
The bungalows were beautifully placed, with enough privacy, but still able to watch the world go by. They were clean, well equipped and comfortable.
Good shower (with hot water), comfortable bed/pillows and a wonderful terrace with hammock and seating area.

The resort is just beautiful and exotic. The bamboo apartments are well maintained, nicely designed and a joy to stay in for a few days. The location is good and the managers/owners are very kind and helpful.
There were no fens on the balcony. But I think the owner fixed that. At least he said he will and he is a man of his words.

Overall the bungalow garden itself and the huts look pretty nice and the owners are very friendly.
Let’s be honest: 1300 Baht per night for a basic Bamboo hut with a single fan is not a fair price. Yes there is warm water, a fridge and kettle, but even that does not justify the price. The hut is simple and mostly met my expectations but nevertheless I was a bit disappointed of the whole package. I am not a picky person at all but after two days I realized that cleaning is not done without explicitly asking for it. And with the rubbish animals leave in the bathroom it’s just necessary to do so. I only managed to get it cleaned once because often no one was around and I didn’t want to waste my time for getting that organized. I don’t have a problem to clean by myself, but that’s not what you expect from the price you pay. The owners are as I said pretty nice and helpful people but don’t organize for example transport for leaving the island, no food and no motorbike rental available. But everything can be found in walking distance. They are running a small gym and do classes. So I had the impression they are more following their own and long term stay peoples interests rather than caring for what a traveller needs.
It can get a bit noisy in the morning with animals around and if your neighbor starts to make phone calls at 7am, like mine did. So be prepared for that if you are a light or long sleeper. The huts stand pretty close to each other, so you will hear what happens next to you.
Depending on the season be prepared for mosquitoes inside your bungalow, I always had like 10+ waiting for me. But that’s the deal when you stay in an open hut like this, no surprise.
At my check out there was a class ongoing that I didn’t want to disturb and no one else around. So I just left.

Very nice place with warm and friendly welcome by Rudolf and Michelle. Cosy and elegant bungalows, peaceful. If you're looking for a peaceful place, however close to all commodities, stay there. Thanks a lot Rudolf and Michelle. We had great stay at your place.
