Warm welcome from staff. Room was very clean and well presented. Stocked well with beverages. Great shower. Fabulous that we had Netflix and other channels. Had dinner there which was delicious, followed by a great night’s sleep in a very comfortable bed. Testament to this was that we unfortunately woke too late for breakfast!!! Couldn’t recommend The Falcon Inn highly enough. Excellent value for money. We will be returning.

They shouldn’t of took the booking if they can’t accommodate

Very weak shower

Lovely hotel, great to have our dog able to stay with us- staff were super helpful and friendly and it was great to have thoughtful, creative (and delicious) vegan options on the restaurant menu. Breakfast was lovely.
4.3
The room was cosy and had everything I needed, delicious breakfast, good parking available.
The shower wasn't that powerful but it was an eco version!

Beautiful location and stunning building . Warm welcome with friendly staff
Beautiful a warm comfortable room with everything we needed
A lovely night away
We couldn’t stay longer

Really comfy room. We booked for a Sunday night, and it was handy that they still served a roast dinner in the evening. Staff were lovely, there was a guy playing guitar, and the prices were very reasonable. Would recommend!

Conveniently situated in the middle of the village overlooking the churchyard. Private parking was a real bonus. We booked a suite so had a good size room with a huge and exceptionally comfortable bed. Bathroom had bath with rain shower over. Had a great night sleep!
The lock on the door seemed insecure and looked as if it had been forced. We went elsewhere to eat as were told there was a large Christmas group coming in so we’d have to eat early or late (though there was never any sign of it) Breakfast was poor quality - rock hard sourdough toast, no fresh fruit and under cooked eggs!!

It was clean that is all
All of it room not described accurately and hotel blamed booking.com. I disagree they are misleading guests!! Evening meal was atrocious!!

Travelling on my own is sometimes a little dull, but the Falcon is a very friendly place to stay with nice staff, excellent food and a cosy feel. My room had a super comfy bed and a nice selection of pillows. The evening meal was superb, and mid-week this was a very relaxing place to spend an evening. Breakfast was included with my room and that was lovely too. I would definitely stay again.
The Falcon is in a lovely part of the country and, if I had to be ultra picky, my room didn't have a view (not that I asked for one), so I went for a walk around the village instead. I can't fault this place; I'm very impressed.

Comfy bed, warm, friendly staff
Shower needed mould cleaning off grouting, it was very unpleasant

Loved the building and how it was presented. Full of character, Bedrooms very large comfortable and warm. Waiting staff friendly. Painswick a lovely location.
For our 2 night stay there was no heating in the downstairs public areas. The outdoor temperatures were very low and we had to wear extra layers to try and keep warm. A sign outside the hotel advertised cosy log fires but none were lit and no additional, electric heating provided. Not the most comfortable dining experience. Also for two nights the dinner menu was severely restricted (due we were told to unexpected rush of customers at lunch time) I would have thought a well managed hotel would cope with this. On checking out I mentioned these problems to the manager who seemed very unconcerned and who then proceeded to get our bill wrong and only grudgingly acknowledged the error .

Lovely freshly converted coachroom. Excellent food, great staff, comfortable bed with beautiful fresh cotton linen. Off the Main Street, very quiet. Extremely happy.
Low water pressure in the shower

very elegant. lovely rooms. dinner was DELISH.
the tolling bells of the church for an hour then all through the night was a bit much! no fault of the hotel tho.

The rooms were clean and modern with great facilities such as a coffee machine. I had dinner in the pub which was excellent and the staff were very attentive and accommodating despite being busy. For the price point, the hotel is an absolute bargain. Would highly recommend - dinner in the pub is a must.
Nothing - had a very pleasant experience
4.3
Dinner and breakfast both excellent
Service good too
Rooms nicely designed and very comfortable
only one thing - lacked a lounge area in the bar was just tables and chairs
4.3
The room was pleasant, there was off road parking and the village is beautiful.
The shower was awful, very poor water pressure and not very warm. The bathroom was very poorly lit. The breakfast was mediocre and the service slow. No mineral water in the room as advertised. We expected better for the money that we paid.
4.3
Fantastic room, great location and the staff were amazing.
4.3
A nice room with character, view and bed, very relaxing. And a nice big bathroom with shower.
The breakfast was okay, though there was no bread of toast and when we asked for this it didn't come. If you decide to eat there in the evening the food will be very average.
4.3
Even though it's out in the sticks, the Falcon is easy to get to by public transport
Everything was fine: the staff, the food and drink, the room, the vibes, the location. Highly recommended.
4.3
Lovely comfortable room and bed. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good food. Highly recommended .
4.3
Breakfast very good.
Broken shower base needs attention.don’t try to hide it with shower mat fix it!
4.3
Large bedrooms and bathroom
The shower was poor. Probably the worse I have experienced

The Falcon Inn had a good car park. A very good atmosphere in the restaurant. A really good tea/coffee tray in the room. Excellent toiletries and towels. Food was excellent both dinner and breakfast. Very friendly and courteous staff.
No power point near a mirror to use the hairdryer. Very hot weather and the quilt was too thick. Chair in the room was not very comfy. The fan in the shower room did not seem to be working at all. Main door to the room had problems with the hinges. Whilst the breakfast was extremely good, there was only one young lady serving and she was run off her feet. We were 20 mins before getting our hot drinks and a further 10 minutes before being served our breakfast.
4.3
Great room, recently tastefully refurbished with excellent shower. Spotlessly clean. No problems with noise. Parking for car in the rear car park.
Breakfast (included in our room rate) was very good with choices, eg full english, etc.
We ate in the pub restaurant which was also very good.
Nothing.

Very beautiful hotel, warm and cosy. The breakfast was delicious! Very good value for money!
Not to many facilities, the stream of the water in shower have to be improved!, the lack of elevator is significant when traveling with a big suitcases
