Lugar acogedor y tranquilo cerca de la naturaleza.

Lugar muy tranquilo, con un patio muy agradable para descansar. Muy buena recepción, un lugar limpio y con claridad de acuerdos para el respeto entre los turistas y pasajeros, esto mantiene el respeto y cuidado de todxs. Es un lugar muy acogedor.

Local bem básico, para quem não quer gastar e fica por 1 a 2 noites no máximo.

Boa localização, tranquilidade, perto de mercado.

Primeiro que reservei quarto com varanda, porém nos colocaram em outro quarto. Porta era ruim, com tranca com cadeado, cozinha também muito suja e faltava panos para secar louça.

Una bonita opción para Pucón

La habitación privada es amplia y el baño está al lado. Cama de matrimonio cómoda y con un buen edredón de plumas. El barrio era muy tranquilo pero lo suficientemente céntrico. Buen ambiente. Cocina compartida bien surtida

En épocas muy frías no hay calefacción en la habitación, aunque supongo que no habrá muchos días frios

Bien mais très froid en hiver

C'est globalement bien équipé, la maison est assez agréable et permet de rencontrer les autres voyageurs

J'y étais mi septembre et il faisait très froid dans l'hostel, on a eu au max 12 à l'intérieur.. et au min 6 La vitre était aussi cassée dans la salle de bain..

unfortunately, not good enough value for money

Great location, very nice stuff, the vibes were easygoing and the atmosphere was pleasant. the hostel itself looks lovely and has a nice garden, beautiful view of the mountains and the vulcano from the balcony.

From the add on booking it wasn't clear enough that the bathrooms are shared, so it was a dissapointment. in addition, the walls were paper thin and we could hear everything - in and out of the hostel, including barking dogs at night or howling winds. the shared kitchen was well equipped, but kinda small - if there was more than one person it was impossible to cook. on top of everything - we had to pay the taxes for some reason (we didn't pay them anywhere else during one month of traveling) so we ended up paying a lot more than what we thought we were gonna pay, and felt like it wasn't a good value for money.

Good hostel but a little poky

The kitchen was really well equipped and everything was maintained daily. Short walk to a supermarket and restaurants. Friendly staff.

The only downside was the size of the room. We booked a twin room (bunk) and there was barely room for our backpacks. One night would be find, but its a bit cramped doe anything longer . There are only two bathrooms and one of them is in the dorm room, which you're allowed to use but you feel a bit awkward going into someone else's room.

I didn't stay at Hostel Raiz. On my arrival around 21:00, after receiving confirmation and a message asking for my time of check-in, I was told that there is no bed available. This was followed by an explanation that "booking.com sometimes does that" (not in my experience so far). Nevertheless, the girl at the reception was kind enough to find me a bed at an alternative hostel on the lake shore for which I am thankful.

Exceptional

I really loved my stay in the Hostel Raíz!! The garden is lovely and it‘s so nice to just hang out there and relax! The house is also very cozy and some rooms, also the dorm, have a balcony. It‘s always been very clean, too. Last but not least the people there are super nice and it‘s easy to get to know people there! Highly recommend staying there!!

They don’t assign beds leading to lots of confusion among staff and guests about which beds are available which need to new sheets, etc. resulting in people moving beds/taking your bed. Not enough bathrooms for the number of guests. not enough (working) outlets.

Friendly vibe, lovely yard, beautiful views, but it is a budget hostel

There is a lovely yard and the balcony room has quite lovely views of the volcano. Daniella was very kind and helpful. The guests were mature and there was a very friendly vibe there. There was hot water and the bathrooms were spacious. The beds were comfortable enough.

It got a bit loud sometimes quite late. Two bathrooms weren't really enough for the number of guests and unless the upstairs bathroom connected to your room, you had to go downstairs (or go through a room of sleeping people). The staircase was too narrow and hard to move your luggage and it was very dark so it was easy to fall on them. My husband was also allergic to the cat and was allergic to a lot of his clothes after his laundry was done there so be weary if you have cat allergies. The windows didn't have proper curtains for privacy or to block any light.

Nice house you share with other guests. Feels like home.

Nice place! You basically share a house with the other guests. Friendly staff and nice fire place for cold days. Kitchen has an oven and big stove.

The cat is a little too 'present' in jumping on you and your food. Walls are a bit thin.

The best hostel we have stayed in throughout 4 months of traveling in South America. Staff are lovely, the hostel is amazingly well kept, clean and just overall a lovely building. The kitchen is great, always hot showers, a fire is lit in the living room every day and it's great to sit down by in the evening and chill. The hostel is just out of the town in a nice quite street and is a minute or two walk from a big supermarket and the Turbus station. It's about a 10 minute walk to Pucón centre which is where all the shops restaurants etc are located. Really good value for money here also.

AMAZING AND WELCOMING HOSTEL WHERE YOU FEEL LIKE AT HOME

OMG what a lovely place this is!!!! The owner and all volunteers are so incredibly lovely, welcoming and helpful I seriously have no words to describe it! You instantly feel like at home! Beds are super comfortable, communal space is amazing, garden is great and terrace in the room! They have no problems with you leaving your luggage in a communal space after the check-out. They let you hang out in a TV room. I could even repack my backpack! I just seriously LOVED this place!

Only one remark - I think there there could be more power sockets in the room and they shoyld be more accesible. I was sleeping on the top bed and actually decided to just charge my phone with a power bank.

Very good

We had a very nice stay in Raiz hostel! Our double bed room was clean and comfortable (especially the super soft sheets!) There were only two bathrooms for the entire hostel but it was perfectly manageable ; the staff paid much attention to the property of the house, included the bathrooms ! The kitchen was fully equiped ; we had all what we needed ! We also enjoyed the little cute garden under the warm sun of Pùcon ! The hostel is located in a residential area (very calm) and is only 5-10 minutes walk from the center ; the localisation was perfect for us !

As in a lot of hostels, the insonorisation was not great and we therefore heard a lot of what was happening in the other rooms. The wifi was not very powerful ; in general sufficient to do researches on the internet but not to make calls... Those two little minus points apart, we are very satisfied of our stay in Raiz hostel, and recommend it!

Decent Stay in pucon.

Room was beautiful, balcony was great with excellent view. Kitchen was equipped and hosts were nice

It is not mentioned clearly in the description, these rooms have a SHARED BATHROOM! which came as an unpleasant surprise for us. there are only two for the whole hostel and one of them is located inside the dorm room ( very not accessible to the private room especially during night hours) . The hostel is a little far from the main street but not too much
