wasn’t ready

- the host was very welcoming and very concerned abt us being comfortable - comfortable bed and free wifi - I had a nice stay but if you don't like noise, I don't recommend - good for people who fall asleep to noise - not very noisy at night tbh - was very much like sharing a house with roommates - good security, you have to go through three locks to get into your room - I felt safe inside the house despite the area that it's in

- some noise - someone in another room was smoking weed and the host didn't handle it quickly enough (considering it was smoke free) - sharing a bathroom, but it wasn't too terrible. I just questioned how clean the other guests were

I didnt like anything about it, the price is cheap but it doesnt justify the lack of security and the filthiness of the place. I did not feel safe and had to find another place to stay. The property is located in what looks like a low income kind of dangerous neighborhood.

I arrived to the place and there was no one to receive me, rang the bell aproximately 10 times, called the contact cellphone and got no response. As it was getting late I tried opening the outside glass door in order to knock on both the internal doors. To my surprise, the external door was completely unlocked even though it has a code lock. Knocked on both internal doors and got no response. What scared me the most is that I opened the internal door to the apartment and could go in, therefore, anybody could go in at anytime. The host called me moments after i had gone into the apartment and arrived a couple of minutes later, showed me the room i was staying in (which did not have a functioning lock on the door) and the rest of the property which was really filthy, there were potato chip bags halfway thru on the floor and over the common area table, along with more garbage on different places. At this point i decided to look somewhere else to stay, they didnt accept my cancellation request and kept my money. It hurts losing money but I just couldnt stay in a place where I would not feel safe arriving and staying at night.

The hosts are very nice and super accommodating. Like, let us set the AC at 67 accommodating. The property and individual rooms had their own locks and codes to access so it was very secure. The property has lots of windows for natural light, and good quality curtains if you'd rather sleep in. Plus the shared kitchen and bathrooms are remodeled and fully equipped with the things you'll need.

The neighborhood is rated as being one of the more dangerous areas of chicago, but we had no issues of any kind. There are a few boarded up buildings but other than that it's just normal suburb with neighbors here and there.

- Super noisy over your head! Music, talking or foodsteps all the time until 2am! - No chair,table or any space to put your items, even when enough space in room. - I think the bathroom was never cleaned in 5 days - The price was a joke for airbnb style ...

Little noise

Safe since it had multiple doors with different locks to get to property so not everyone can just walk in freely into different areas of the hostel. Clean common areas and room. Water pressure was good but can be very hot. Host was very kind and it seemed like the place was newly renovated! There’s also a station about 14 mins walk away (Halsted green line) which is about 30-40 mins away from downtown (the loop) but the trains can be infrequent even though they say they’re supposed to come every 20 mins. There’s the route 8 bus stop (goes up Halsted) about 6 mins walk away as well that can take you close to downtown (about 40 mins away) and it runs every 15 mins.

The walls are pretty thin and it seems like there’s travellers or people living on all three floors so it can be loud depending on if you had neighbours. The neighbourhood isn’t the best but I don’t really mind because the price was cheap for Chicago and I only need it as a place to sleep. In general if you just mind your own business you should be fine though.

The location is terrible, people there are very unfriendly besides couple of people and a host

It was a clean little room. It was a stove and fridge.

It was too many people walking in and out all night. It smelled like weed.
