I didn’t like that the shower did not work and it was broken. Also my girlfriend fell down the stairs and we told the guy at the front desk and he just told us how did she manage that and brushes us off very bad experience and horrible customer service.

There isn’t anything to like. It needs a renovation of the rooms immediately. Zero modern amenities. No plug to recharge your phone.
Shared bathroom with 10 other rooms. No toilet paper in the bathroom. There was no way I would take a shower there. One, because of the cleanliness and second, because of security. There isn’t anything that is luxurious about the place. It was the worst placed I ever stayed. I immediately wanted to leave but had to stay one night. Room doors wouldn’t shut properly. No parking. They is a garage near by that is expensive to park overnight. The rooms are very small you don’t have any space to walk around the bed. Furniture is old and needs to replaced or painted.

The Receptionist April was amazing. She was very kind and informative.
The website we booked on did not mention a $75 deposit for a possible lost key. it stated there would be a $25 deposit for the use of a debit card and that you would be charged $75 if you lost the key. the website didn’t specify that the room we chose had no bathroom. it also didn’t specify that you have to figure your own parking out.

It is in a great location. All the staff was very nice to us.
It's very dated

Very old school hotel in a good way, lady at the desk was very nice, the rooms were clean, and the shared bathrooms were clean as well. Rooms have sinks in them as well which is nice.

The location was perfect
The staff was prejudiced and unwelcoming. I was insulted and disrespected. I urge any gay or trans guests to avoid this property. You are not welcome here.

Everything was pretty solid for my $. The bed was comfy. The TV worked.
No room had enough soap. Not the bathrooms or showers (communal) or bedrooms. I never even got the option to use the shampoo they offered until my last night.
I found some bites on myself and the bug in my bed. Not a bedbug. An ant and it bit me. I called the front office number and spoke to Henry in New York, and he put me in a new room.
When I said “bedbug”s and lost my temper slightly the next AM, they kicked me out. Threatened to call the cops and Sue if I said bedbugs.
I wanted to die, but I asked for free nights. I thought they might negotiate me down. I really really wanted to die on those tri rail tracks.
But I am too chicken. You win Omar. I am terrible and I should have left myself. You have my number I will give you $30 for being dumb. I will give you my cash app. The older woman too.

The location was great! Walking distance to a lot! April, the front desk gal was fantastic!
This hotel is a hostel like dwelling. Some rooms have personal bathrooms some do not. We did not have a personal bathroom which actually worked out fine as the hallway bathroom was 2 doors down, just didn’t think they clarified that on their website. Hotel used to have smoking but does no longer, however, we were certain folks were still smoking in several rooms. The evenings we were there. There is no front desk attendant 7p -7a I believe but they do have a way if there was an emergency to get a hold of someone.

The location
The bathroom was shared which was not advertised. I I knew that the bathroom was shared I would never had book a room there. The bathroom shower did not have any water the two days I stayed at Evernia Hotel I had to towel bath myself in the room sink. And they charged my card three times. I am reporting this Hotel. Another minus to this hotel is that there is no way to speak with anyone there isn’t a phone number to call. I text but it’s a waste of time.

Fantastic historic hotel near 2 train stations and an upscale shopping/entertainment district.
Our room was a little tight with a very firm mattress. Check in was done via video phone and the front door security code didn’t work. But someone was quick to pick up the phone to let us in.

I like the location
The hotel was old it smelled and the room was cluttered

I loved that it felt vintage and different. I’ve never been to a hotel so unique.
The bathroom situation isn’t clearly listed. I booked a room: full size bed, nonsmoking room. Assuming it would have a bathroom. Other options were smoking rooms with shared bathrooms? So clearly didn’t want to share a bathroom with other guests. But ended up having no choice and shared a restroom and shower separate from each other, with other guests.

Great location!
That there is no person at the front desk 24/7, and that I have to call to get access late at night.
I know you get what you paid, but I was expecting a front desk person.
