I loved the history of the place. It was very comfortable for an historic hotel. The rooms were small, but that was to be expected for historic hotels. It was clean and quiet.
The staff was not very friendly. We had to wait quite a while before someone came to check us in.

the hotel is beautiful and our suite was excellent. we loved all the art. secured covered parking was available.
one of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the restaurant/pub. however, it was closed the day we were in town for a software upgrade and everyone told us we missed out on something wonderful. if we had known, we would have changed our dates.

The attached bar was excellent and closed at 10pm so no noise issues at all.
Not a dislike but unusual, had to ask for the room to be cleaned the night before you wanted it.

This is a rarity in the USA, a genuinely historic city hotel, which made a change from run of the mill highway motels. The building is really interesting and its conversion to a hotel imaginative. We had an excellent meal in the attached pub. It was definitely the hotel highlight of our trip.
Nothing. It was all excellent.

Location perfect traveling with two dogs. Excellent dog friendly patio. Great helpful staff.

Great historic property! Well appointed rooms. Nice artwork in the rooms and along the halls. We bought several items in the lobby. And we loved the Celtic Cowboy!
8.0
Comfortable beds, shower had good water pressure, and everything was clean.
Not easy access for someone with luggage. Had to park across the street and lifting luggage over street curbs on both sides

We loved this hotel. It was amazing in every way.

Historic vibe. Hotel entry into pub. Secured parking available. Downtown location.
No windows in room was more disturbing than expected. Suggest getting one of the suites.

Liked the restaurant next door..provided a very good dinner. I liked the authenticity of the building and while I didn't love the indirect natural lighting it was very interesting to see a building that relied on that from this period. We appreciated that the hotel is dog friendly.
We ditched the breakfast as it was very packaged - no fruit if I saw correctly. Not sure I could stay for more than 1 night in the non skylight rooms (which we had) and if we go back (which is likely given we travel this route once or twice a year) we will plan ahead to get a skylight suite.

Great staff, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast.
Not many windows in the room.

good location, nice staff
more hot water in shower

Surprisingly comfortable bed, dead quiet by 10 pm, friendly staff. Room was intellgently laid out and equipped.
9.0
Friendly, helpful staff. Cleanliness. Comfortable bed.
The included breakfast needs a some work. Fuses blown when toaster and coffee maker ran at the same time kept folks from getting their morning coffee. Hot water provided for tea and chocolate was lukewarm. The microwaveable frozen entree that I chose was not edible. On another note, a friend declared her instant Quaker oatmeal with granola was exactly what she expected.
The adjoining restaurant was closed (Sunday night), so we were not able to enjoy its dinner fare
9.0
Very comfy room (with an exceptional walk-in shower). I love the historic nature of this hotel, but also the modern facilities. Dinner in the adjoining restaurant was excellent (try the Cobb salad!) and the complimentary breakfast was better than the usual fare. Secure parking was a bonus.

Everything. The staff. The facility, the location.

The hotel is well located. Easy check-in
Breakfast could be improved with fresh breads, butter, jam, etc.

Breakfast was good. Nothing special.
Disappointed that there wasn’t any live music. Full house on a Saturday night and no music. Music was the selling point when searching for a room.

Location was great, glad to see you supporting the local fine arts/artists
Wish the Celtic Cowboy was open until 2 am - especially Friday and Saturday nights

Location was great.
Was like "new" and really surprised us !
Bed was quite firm.
5.0
Very good location, squeaky clean, excellent beds.
Front desk staff is surly, rooms are tiny and noisy and very dark. Enough room for 2 beds and not much else. Noisy corridor. Generally not very cozy, kind of cold and impersonal. Spendy for what you get.
