Tis property far exceded our expectations - location was great - host was friendly and informative - property was incredible (it is a very old property full of history) - and (very important for us) property was spotlessly clean - we could sit on terrace with magnificent views across the countryside and sip our on wine (you have to bring your own wine for evening - this is a B&B) - host recommended local restaurants within easy walking distance - breakfast was first rate - overall could not fault this property - we will book it again next time we are in the area
Nothing - exceeded expectations throughout

Beautiful historic hotel close to the city center of Cordes-sur-ciel at a quite street. Host is very welcoming and goes great lengths to make sure that you have a pleasant stay. Small but good quality breakfast served at a wonderful terrace if the weather allows it. Free parking ticket is provided at check in, parking spaces at street outside of hotel.
Highly recommended!
Nothing to complain about.

Absolutely stunning small hotel. The owner couldn't have been friendlier, informative, and gracious! She explained the history of the hotel (which was fascinating!), was super helpful in getting us acclimated, provided a gorgeous and delicious breakfast (homemade croissants were delicious) and served as a mini-Ambassador to Cordes sur Ciel, as well as the residence itself. We had a lovely time in Cordes, in part because of the warm and informative welcome. The room was spacious, had a lovely view, was spotless, and had many conveniences (drinks, fridge, A/C, parking pass, etc). It was a very memorable stay and we had a delightful time! We would highly recommend it and would stay there next time we visit!
There was nothing we didn't like!

The house is incredible. The building, the interior, the furniture... everything is authentic and beautiful.
The beautiful lady of the house is wonderful. She was very friendly and helpful.
She told us interesting facts about the history of the house and she obviously loves to manage her hotel and make her guests happy.
She gave us tipps for the next stops of our trip and they made our holyday more beautiful. For example she told us to see the church of Albi, which we didn't know about, or to check out the Sunday Market in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, where you can buy real food from locals, which still have a taste and a scent, not like the watery, gene manipulated crap from the supermarket.
She also arranged a reservation for us in a restaurant, where we had a wonderful and very luxury dinner.
We had a beautiful view of the valley from the room. There is also a comfortable terrace to enjoy a glass of vine by looking at the scenery.
The breakfast was not much, but very rich. Everything you might need was there. The lady of the house makes the croissants and the marmelades herself and they taste so good!
Everything was created and arranged with love. There was authentic medieval music in the background and even the knives and forks were old family silverware with amazing pearl grips.
There is also a small park nearby for walking the dog.
I can talk about our stay only in superlatives.
The house was amazing, the city is amazing, she is amazing.
I never had such an experience in a hotel.
I can't think of anything.

The host is extremely attentive to the comfort and convenience of the guests.
Marie explained that "bakea" is a Basque word that means a plentitude of peace. You will find peace at Maison Bakea. You will be living in a museum overlooking an idyllic countryside.
The maison was restored in the late 20th century by master artisans. The guest rooms are arranged around an inner courtyard and feature period furniture and fine linens. The decor is tasteful and complements the medieval nature of the maison and Cordes itself.
If you are going to Cordes, you must stay overnight. If you appreciate a calm and immersive environment to appreciate this special place, then you must consider a stay at La Maison Bakea.
I should have stayed longer.

The Host and proprietess was so charming, friendly and welcoming. She made us feel at home and was so pleased to welcome our little pups too. The guest house was beautifully arranged, perfect period medieval, as tho you walked back in time when you entered the door. She even gave us a tour and spoke of the history of their spendid home. The view was stunning. Breakfast was perfect including home made croissants, berry jams and orange marmalade.
That we couldn't stay longer.

We had a fantastic stay in this medieval property. The house in itself has been painstakingly renovated to bring back its former glory with all modern amenities. The host, Marie is a delight and we felt very safe staying there in the midst of a pandemic. We had a beautiful room with a breathtaking view, great big bathroom and although facing the road, it was very quiet. There is parking just outside and you are provided with a pass, so it’s free. Good touches in the room were the mini bar, kettle and a magnifying make-up mirror. The continental breakfast was perfect and served on the lovely outdoor terrace. We also highly recommend a meal at Hostellerie du Vieux Cordes (5 min walk), delicious food in a romantic setting. We will definitely stay at La Maison Bakéa again if we are in the area.

We had a really lovely stay in a suite that was very comfortable and spacious, the lady owner was very welcoming and incredibly hospitable and had even made a dinner reservation for us in a local restaurant so as to avoid the tourist trap food places. All in all it was a lovely stay in a remarkable house that dates back to medieval times that has been lovingly restored and has the most breath taking views while enjoying a very nice breakfast on the lovely terrace.
We will return to this wonderful house one day.
