About this apartment rental
Nestled away in the Suffolk countryside, this apartment lies on an address that has been mentioned in historical records dating back to the fourteenth century. However, it's far from rustic inside. Wooden floors, a sleek white kitchen and pristine bathrooms with brick-style tiling make for a contemporary interior. During the colder months of the year, there's nothing better to do than curl up next to the log-burner in the living room, but when the weather is more agreeable, there's so much to do. Just outside, there's a private patio with a barbecue and seating ready for an alfresco feast. Elsewhere on the grounds, there's a tennis court shared only between a couple of cottages, as well as lots of wildlife to spot, from Muscovy ducks and moorhens to deer and pigs. In the local area, guests have the option of birdwatching at Orford Ness, cycling through the Sudbourne Woods Bike Park or swimming in the sea at Aldeburgh Beach.
Home truths:
*There's free parking for one car on the premises — please note that charging electric cars is forbidden
*The cottage is spread across one level
*It's also attached to another rental cottage
*The tennis court is open seasonally and needs to be requested — guests should also bring their own balls and racquets
*A starter supply of firewood for the log burners is provided and more is available to purchase on-site at the cost of £5 per log
*The beds can be arranged as two kings or four singles
*One well-behaved dog is allowed as long as it's kept on a lead in the garden — they will incur an additional fee of £5 per day
*Cots are available upon request — the maximum occupancy is four adults and one baby
