The room was very clean and well maintained and the staffs were very friendly

The Air conditioning was not working properly in the night time and the TV suddenly turned off

Great price weekend break.

Excellent check-in and 24 hour Reception. Buffet Full English Breakfast was gorgeous. Slept very well in comfortable bed.

Would like sauces and condiments at breakfast. Aircon not quite cool enough.

Great location, felt secure knowing only guests could get past reception to the rooms.

Location was great, security of requiring a key to get into the lift.

ONLY ROOM IS NICE IN THIS HOTEL (and some of the staff)

Couple of good points: 1. room is nice, good bed, nice bathroom, good TV 2. room maids very polite, room cleaning excellent 3. staff at breakfast excellent - especially guy from Sri Lanka very professional and fast

1. lobby is cold and depressive 2. staff at reception very cold and unpolite 3. breakfast very basic 4. bartenders at barr on 3rd floor quite arrogant...

Expensive and uncomfortable

The location in proximity to the train station to Cardiff.

The stay was NOT worth £245 per night ! Also we were kept awake most of the night by noisy pipes ( very loud ) . We mentioned it to reception who completely ignored us , it was like we hadn’t spoken . My husband had recorded the sound . Felt completely dismissed!! Would not recommend.

Central location and good breakfast but poor value for money.

Good location. Great breakfast with a good choice. Nicely powerful shower with toiletries in a large dispenser to avoid waste.

Room was a little on the small side. Lack of common areas, lounge, comfortable reception etc to sit in. Was very.overpriced for the facilities it offered - they milked the event in Cardiff.

Would have been great apart from the heat!

Clean, central, all basics like kettle, hairdryer, iron, toiletries in place. Great view from 10th floor

Room was much too hot, 23.5 degrees on arrival. Unable to reduce temperature in room to less than 19 degrees. Contacted reception and was advised that was the lowest temperature possible. Sealed windows so unable to open. Had to remove duvet from cover and take off mattress topper in attempt to be cooler but had an uncomfortable night because of the heat. This was felt by both me and my young son who shared a twin room

Good central location

Large clean room with plenty of toiletries and towels. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet despite central.location

Little confusion during check in when booking could not be found, but dealt with efficiently. Design of shower means bathroom floor can get soaked.

Comfy bed! Clean fresh and very welcoming! Friendly helpful staff.

Just too hot in rooms on arrival and took until next day to cool down. Disappointing that bar was closed from 4 on Sunday Bottled water in rooms needed as we had to buy from bar on first night and then ask at reception in second night

Okay hotel, very limited facilities

No restaurant or bar open due to renovations but still charge you a £5 tray and £5.50 service charge to eat in your room!

Really nice modern Hotel with good amenities.

Really comfortable bed and room was a good size. Had a good size TV and desk. The Bathroom was modern, clean and the towels were really good quality.

Could have done with some drawers or shelves for clothes

Very satisfactory

It was a good hotel offering comfortable accommodation for the one night I needed. The breakfast was good.

Having to buy 2 nights when I only needed one. It was difficult to get through to Reception on Friday evening from outside the hotel in order to register - I tried 7 times!

Excellent hotel for the price point

Very conveniently located to train station and bus terminus. Staff was very welcoming and helpful in requests. Rooms were clean and tidy far exceeded my expectations. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the Newport area. I will stay here again if I get another opportunity to visit Newport.

I can honestly say that I can not think of anything that would be an improvement as I really enjoyed my stay.

Overnight stay for hospital appointment

Almost everything. Better than Hilton and Premier Inn. Ideal location. Excellent view over the river. Good choice of food in the restaurant, friendly atmosphere.

Almost nothing - poor quality toilet paper, lack of teaspoons in the room!

met my needs perfectly

there was no "stewed fruit" on the buffet......seeds, sultanas, dates - all OK but some prunes or similar would have completed the presentation nicely. Hot food was good and some pastries to finish.

It was a cute relaxing stay, we’d definitely stay again.

We liked where it was situated. The staff were well mannered and it was easy to know your way around

The room we were in was boiling all the time. We turned the temperature down and at one point we turned it off and it was still really warm. I found when we tried to put the fan on we felt nothing.
