About this apartment rental
Known for its vital role in the French Revolution, Bastille and the surrounding neighbourhood has plenty to offer, even if you're not keen on history. From lively jazz bars and the Opéra Bastille to bohemian boutiques and Marché d'Aligre, this pocket of Paris has something for everyone. And it's where you'll find this stylish apartment, just a five-minute walk from the July Column, twenty from Notre Dame and surrounded by a slew of chic cafes, trendy wine bars and delicious eateries.
Come home after a long day and sprawl out on the sofa, nibbling on French cheese, fresh-baked bread and sharing a bottle of wine picked up from the market. We love the exposed brick in the kitchen, the skylights in the bathroom and the soft, modern furnishings. The style is minimal, the living space bright, and the bedroom super comfortable. This flat may be on the smaller side, but we think it'll do nicely for solo travellers and couples wanting to stay in the centre of the action.
Home truths:
*As is common in France, the toilet is separate from the en-suite bathroom *This flat is on the ground floor, so you may hear some street noise , just in case *No parking is provided but a car isn’t needed in Paris – instead of driving, explore on foot or take the metro *The kitchen is a little basic (there’s no oven and counter space is limited) but we don’t think you’ll get up to much cooking – there are plenty of eateries nearby to tempt you out *While there's a towel rack in the bathroom, there are no towel hooks *This host provides a cleaning kit with sponges, various detergents, kitchen cloths, garbage bags, dishwasher, and washing machine tablets *There’s also a toilet bag in every bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body milk (BotElixir brand) – all products are an essential oil blend of lemon/rosemary, paraben free, and hypoallergenic
