We recently stayed while moving a family member into App State, it was wonderful to have a "home" base and stay a few days while they got settled. Lovely home and wonderful host!

A beautiful nook with very comfortable living areas inside and out. Clearly well cared for, clean, with all necessary supplies. Easy check in and checkout. Owner is good with communications - easy to reach, very responsive.

We had such a wonderful time. The cabin is within 15 minutes to the mountain to go skiing and like 12 minutes to downtown to have dinner. It's perfectly located. The cabin is adorable, super homie. It has a lot of board games and books that the kids loved. The campfire area by the creek was also a huge hit. D was such an amazing hostess. She went BEYOND all my expectations to make sure we had a great time and had everything we needed. She is so sweet and provided the best customer service!

This was the perfect place for us for our family Christmas away. We have never been to the mountains OR in snow, but we looked a lot and found this wonderful place.
Our host was simply amazing and always a call away if we needed anything. The home was the perfect location for us (near everything, but far enough away for us to have fires in the fire pit at night by the creek). My kids are grown and we had PLENTY of room for myself and my husband, my mom, and 3 grown kids. We loved the set up, furniture, and decor. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked well for us to cook anything we wanted. The location was near downtown Boone, close to Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, and ALL of the locations we wanted to visit. I will add that the water was the BEST ever and we really wanted to bottle it up and take it home (us girls liked the taste and how it was on our hair, the guys just wanted to drink it non- stop). The wrap around porch, creek, and fire put were all a huge plus! We will be coming back!

We originally were looking for just a place to lay our heads for the night. What we got was a place that could serve as an amazing vacation spot all in itself. The house is well maintained, clean, and inviting. The property is breathtaking and peaceful. To top it all off, it’s conveniently located comfortably close enough to town, but far enough out to feel remote. Highly recommended.

Very charming cabin. Very clean with all necessary amenities. Would have liked to have access to washer/dryer, but this was not a deal breaker. Host was very attentive and willing to assist with any requests. Would caution families with elderly or physically challenged-- there are 2 steps down to access the kitchen and TV area (den). This was a concern for us, but we managed. Would have preferred to have ready pickup instead of us having to locate a local dumpster . Would definitely stay here again!

All in all, a pretty good place to stay.

This property is exactly what you are looking for in the mountains. Everything you need and a few little extras to keep you comfortable!

We loved the property but wish a few changes could be made to improve overall rating. Upstairs was great but the claw tub is not desirable for a good shower, only bath. Water pressure was low upstairs and high downstairs.

Couldn't have asked for a more Perfect Peaceful Getaway!
We were at peace the moment we pulled into the driveway. As soon as you get out of the car, you hear nothing but the sounds of the rolling creek that surrounds the house. The wrap around decks provide beauty in every direction. Smores at the fire pit on the creek were enjoyed very night! The inside was clean, quaint, and inviting. Kitchen is small but functional and has everything you need. We loved waking up to the gorgeous fall foliage off the master bedroom balcony every morning. The location was secluded but conveniently only minutes to town and near blowing rock and numerous hikes and waterfalls. We enjoyed sunset at nearby Moses Cone, sunrise at Thunderhill overlook, dinner at Wild Craft Eatery in Boone, hiking to crab orchard falls and Glen Burney Falls, and Grandfather Mtn. is a must see! The list goes on! The host was extremely responsive and friendly. We are already planning to go back next year!
