About this house rental
Welcome to Green Gables. A beautiful, westward-facing cottage on Lake Muskoka. If you are looking for restaurants or shops, then this cottage has all that you will ever need as it is located just ten minutes from Port Carling and fifteen minutes from Bracebridge.
This property is nestled in a very quaint and quiet part of Lake Muskoka. There are many excellent boat destinations that are very close to the cottage. Located just down the road are a number of public tennis courts and golf courses. Additionally, the cottage is located no more than a five-minute walk to the famous Huckleberry lookout trail that overlooks the north part of Lake Muskoka.
Inside, you will find a beautiful open concept layout with bright colours clean surfaces. When in the kitchen, living room, or sitting at the dining table, your attention will always be directed through the many windows at the back of the cottage that looks out onto the lake. If you ever need some downtime, look no further than the back den that features two live edge table desks for any work that you may need to do.
Do you enjoy having hot chocolate beside a warm fire? If so, you came to the right place. Outside near the water you will find a beautiful firepit. Additionally, on the deck at the back of the cottage, there is an outdoor propane fireplace table. Inside, you will also find a wood-burning fireplace to keep you warm during any weather you may face in Muskoka.
Do you drive an electric vehicle and have range anxiety driving up to Muskoka? Fear not, within the last year a level two charger was just installed and we welcome all makes and models of vehicles.
Regardless of your reason for a weekend or a weekday getaway, we hope that you select this cottage to have a Muskoka experience like no other.
Yours truly,
Brendan

This is a great property and location. Good value for money. We had 4 couples in the cottage. The couple who got the bedroom off the kitchen complained about how cold it was both nights. Also the place wasn't as clean as it should be especially when you pay a significant amount for cleaning. Overall everyone had a great time and Brandon is very responsive. He even gave us a partial rebate on the cleaning fee.

We stayed at this property for just a couple of nights. There were five adults and one small dog. The cottage was exactly as advertised. The property was great. They were more amenities in the cottage then we could ever have used. You're in the area for a wedding about 20 minutes away so unfortunately did not have time to take full advantage of everything this property has to offer. It was in very close proximity to the Huckleberry Rock hiking trail which was great. The communication with the owner was fantastic and the whole transaction could not have been any smoother. Would not hesitate to return in the future.

Our family stayed in June and had a fantastic time.
The cottage is right on the lake and includes many peaceful spots for sitting on the dock. The interior is beautifully appointed, with modern furniture and a well-stocked kitchen. There is no central A/C but there are plenty of fans, so we did not have any issue with temperature. We also enjoyed the large comfortable couch on the main floor which offers excellent lake views!
The host was easy to communicate with and prompt with replies.
The property is about 15 minutes away from Bracebridge, which makes for easy grocery/supply trips.
Overall, highly recommend this beautiful cottage!

We were extremely happy and content to spend our easter break at this property. It is clean, well maintained and equipped with modern amenities. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything one could ask for! My 6 yrs old son was excited to play around the house. Property owner was friendly and propmt in replying my questions. It also offers a lake view and easy access to lake. Highly recommend to all folks!

Great retreat for groups of friends and families
We stayed at this cottage in mid-June, and found the lake to be very peaceful. Proximity to Bracebridge was appreciated for grocery runs, and for a trip to the Farmer's Market on Saturday.
Brendan was a great host and sent a detailed check-in and check-out procedure that had no onerous requirements, and made check-in very easy.
This property and cottage are a gem. There is a terrific dock and beautiful, shallow beach areas that are ideal for groups with young children. The cottage itself was spotless and very well-appointed. Beds, linens, dishes, and furniture were spotless. Water pressure in the showers was good, and there was plenty of hot water for showers; appliances were modern and functioned well.
Our group had a three-year old toddler and an infant under one, and found the property made it easy to keep an eye on them. While there is no air conditioning, the side of the cottage facing the lake has plenty of windows and screen doors, and it was easy to use a cross-breeze to cool the cottage at night.

Perfect Getaway
We stayed for 2 nights here and had an amazing time! The cottage was clean, cozy, and had plenty of amenities. The outdoor space was really nice and we appreciated the available canoes and life jackets. The location is within a short drive of Bracebridge so it's easy to just drive up to cottage and get supplies and groceries on the way. Plenty of trails and parks nearby. No a/c though so would encourage travellers to bring fans with them for warmer days but there is a good central air system to control humidity and ensure fresh air; there are also ceiling fans throughout the house. Overall we had a wonderful time and are looking forward to returning.
