About this cabin rental
It is important that you come and be ready to escape completely your daily routine. Be present to the moment, and observe a tiny creation of our creator: GOD. Bring yourself or even better, your loved ones who will witness you, who deep down in that spirit of yours; will show who you truly are when away from what you're escaping from. May God bless your stay with a new you. I also have many reviews on another booking company.
The space:
My family and I occasionally escape to this heaven-on-earth cabin. The journey to get there is filled with scenic nature. This cabin is so cozy, I just ask myself, "Why not live here full time?", but like most of us, we need to live close to work. So when you come, leave everything and everyone that shouldn't be in mind and spirit, and simply enjoy home away from home.
Guest access:
Our drive way is steep. In this time of season, late in the year, our beautiful surrounding forest naturally starts shedding leaves. By doing so, leaves can make the driveway unsuitable, and slightly slippery for those who wear high heels. Please use stairs when entering home from street parking. I've uploaded photos of the driveway and stairs to provide an example.
Other things to note:
Be on the look out for bears. Also small children must not get near fireplace when being used, gets hot to the touch.
You'll also discover many unique craftsmanship of this cabin, like the stair case, made of actual tree trunks. Hand rails were carefully selected to be used from tree branches.. This lovely home was crafted in early 40's by pine trees from the actual premises, before Lowe's and Home Depot came around lol! Please make yourself at home and help us carefully preserve this historical cabin for future guest and future generations.
Welcome Home.

we stayed for one night . we were a group of 10 adults and 3 teens . the house was well equipped and even bottles of water for us in refrigerator and snacks in the basket on the counter. very clean and nicely remodeled kitchen. the downstair room is comfortable. upstairs room are a bit tiny and cramped so we slept in the living room to have the ac .folding beds are provided as well. the drive way is a bit steep so come with suv or park your cars in the street. you can find space, not difficult. the village is so cute to visit . two windows in upstairs room need fixing since they can't stay open . overall a very good experience and we really enjoyed staying there . cozy and old charm house. we will be back again

Jose was very easy to communicate with. We had 8 people stay here and it was perfect. Lots of helpful items like snacks, shampoos, coffee, and first aid. Our kids loved the tire swing. Only recommendation is for clarity on the checkout cleaning. This is a lovely house and we drove a short distance to play in snow.

Jose is by far the best host I have ever encountered. He is always there, and very thoughtful. Constantly checking on us to ensure we are okay. The cabin was equipped with literally everything you need, there's sugar and creamer for the coffee, pancake mix, tons of snacks, cup noodles for late night snacks, the list is endless..
I think having a very accommodating host and always there for you is a plus. I would definitely recommend his cabin to others!!

I will start with parking. We were three families only two spaces available at house. Were accommodated four houses down for more parking. Cleaning towel and duster left on chair. Minor things but as I said on my title made the best of it and we had a beautiful time. Beautiful kitchen , living room cozy and warm. The out side beautiful leaves, clean air and relaxing.

Had a great stay. Everything was available that you would possibly need for a peaceful stay. Loved the wood stove. I was not successful with starting a wood fire. However, it was strictly user issue, not the stove.
Enjoyed the view from the windows. Peaceful and quiet.
Owner attentive and provided information for a smooth check in and check out.
Thank you being dog friendly. My dog enjoyed using the doggie bowls. šš
I will definitely book again. Love being in the area and the home is perfect for a getaway.

My daughter loved looking at all the memorabilia from the past. The old school land line and record player from way back was of particular interest. Great place when traveling with dogs. Very accommodating owner. Do not take the owners advice lightly. You should not pull into the driveway unless you have a pickup truck. Street parking directly next to the driveway available. We arrived at night and the town of Crestline is surrounded by winding roads so be patient and careful. The only lights are lights shinning from homeowners porch lights. The owner was extremely responsive and on top of all requests and questions. I will stay there again.

We decided to have a little getaway to Lake Gregory and stay the night. We came across this cabin and it was great for all of us. Jose the host is amazing and very responsive and helpful. In addition, he is very accommodating. He made our stay absolutely hassle free and comfortable. The cabin was comfortable and fully equipped with everything needed. However, the top quality was the host and the friendliness. Thank you Jose for making our trip amazing.
