There is no better way to experience East Coast charm than a Cape Cod getaway, so make your way to this adorable shake cottage and let yourself slip into vacation mode. This home is just a few miles from numerous beaches, including Colonial Acres Beach, a neighborhood beach just a leisurely half mile walk away. Wash the sand and salt away from your day adventures in the outdoor shower, soaking in the sunset and listening to the birds chirping when you arrive home. As soon as you step foot inside, you will fall in love with the beachy decor, wood accents, and spacious layout that will allow everyone to enjoy their own piece of paradise. The Happy Place was a wonderful place to stay. We stayed 9 days and traveled all over the Cape from this convenient central location. Backyard conservation area was a bonus for my wildlife photographer husband. Our only complaint is the partial A/C, we managed ok since the temp was not too hot but the dog days of summer would be too hot here for us.

it is not modern but very clean and outside super cute. 10 minute walk yo beach. AC only in rooms but we went in August and used fans provided. Nice place ro stay.

House had just what we needed for the week. The ac’s in bedroom along with some fans kept the house cool. Quiet neighborhood and 3 minutes to a beach.

Stayed at “The Happy Place” for a week and we loved it. A nice and quiet location that we could go to after a long day of exploring to relax. Just the right size for a couple or family of 4. The sun room was our favorite hangout spot in the home. Easy to find and in a great spot to go anywehre on the Cape. Definitely will stay here again in the future!

We come many times a year and love being walking distance to the beach. Close to all our favorite restaurants and shops too

The house was outstanding! We loved the porch most of all. Weather was cool, September, so we really couldn’t use the patio, but the enclosed porch was excellent. House was clean and well kept. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. Centrally located in Cape Cod. Would definitely recommend.

Very much enjoyed our stay. The home was very clean and comfortable with a screened in all seasons room and a nice backyard. It is pretty centrally located, so it was easy to do our daily trips on the Cape.

This was a fantastic place for me, my husband, and a couple friends to spend a short vacation of board games, beaching, and relaxing.
The sun room is absolutely lovely. During the day there is plenty of natural light, and luckily it wasn't hot while we were there so leaving the screen doors closed there was a nice breeze. During the evening/night, the string lights made it feel truly magical. We moved a table in and spent many happy hours playing board games and reading.
The beach nearby was pebbly and not ideal for swimming (without water shoes), but it was still extremely pleasant and fun. It was fantastic to be able to walk there, and we took several casual strolls to the beach where we could watch the water or crabs scurrying around.
The rest of the house was just fine. The kitchen wasn't that well stocked (no oil, few pans, dull knives), but it did the job. There wasn't quite enough toilet paper and paper towels for the length of our stay, so we had to buy some. We got the sense that on a hotter week the house would have gotten unpleasantly warm, but we were lucky that it was in the 70s while we were there.
Overall: for our goals of relaxing and playing board games, with occasional trips to the beach or mini golf, this had everything we needed. I would consider staying again.

We loved the sun room. And the back deck is beautiful! The close beach was only a 5 min walk - with beautiful sunsets. And the Seagull Beach was even better and just a quick drive away. Thanks for the great weekend!

Very glad to be able to book this “The Happy Place” the last min. Easy check in process, clean and roomy place for family of 4. Though my young adult boys refused to share bed, one was happily slept on the comfortable couch. The outdoor deck and furniture are nice. We enjoyed the space when having BBQ on the grill at the backyard. Will definitely rent this place if we are back to Cape again in the future!

Great experience.

This was an okay accommodation. However, the elevated back porch and especially the backyard gazebo, were absolutely enchanting. All in all, not a bad place to stay, but we wouldn't rent it a second time. But, certainly a convenient location for the beach.

The house is great for a Cape Cod vacation. It's located within walking distance of a beach and a 10 min drive of an even nicer beach. The back patio and deck are both huge pluses.
The main drawback is that it's managed by a third-party which means speaking with anyone is next to impossible. We tried a few times and never had any luck but in the end, it didn't matter. Also, that means you are going to make a payment off of VRBO which is concerning but for us it worked out.
We will look to stay here again.

Great location!
Location was the best part! The house was a few minutes drive from plenty of good restaurants, convenience stores and mini golf. It was also only an hour drive to places like Provincetown, Boston and the ferry for Martha's Vineyard. We had a few problems with getting into the home and the cleanliness of the bathroom, but the owners were quick to respond about this.
