About this cottage rental
Located on a quiet side road 30 min from Ithaca and 5 min from Treleaven Winery, our four season lakehouse is ideal for family time at the lake or a romantic getaway. The house is comfortable and thoughtfully furnished. With a sunny flat yard, hot tub, deck, new lakeside shack, kayaks, long dock, shady grass patio by the water, fire pit and rec room, there are lots of spaces to spread out. We face the afternoon sun and sunsets, and have deep, clear water. Sit by the lake and feel your blood pressure drop! New pictures coming in May...
Our cottage was built in 1951 and is 1100 square feet. We bought it in 2020 and spent over a year and a half remodeling every room, converting the wood floor garage into a recreation room, and building a new lakeside shack by the shore. We've tried for the "looks like its always been there" design approach and used sustainable materials and energy options.
The living room looks out to the lake with a large window and is open the kitchen. It has ductless heat pump/air conditioning and a pellet stove. The kitchen is fully supplied, including a dishwasher. Next to the living room is a dining area and den/TV room, which has a new high quality queen size sleeper sofa and curtains to create privacy. The main bedroom has a new queen size bed and a large window facing the lake, and the second bedroom has two twin size beds with new mattresses. The bathroom has a shower/tub combination and there is a washer and dryer. We have drinkable filtered well water.
In the back yard we have a hot tub and a new deck with a table, chairs and gas grill. The flat yard is a nice place for yard games and we have a fire pit with supplied wood. There are about twenty steps to reach the shoreline area, which is very few compared with most Cayuga lake properties.
The converted recreation room has a ping pong table, couch and chair, "vintage" boombox, and board games.
At the shore there is a nice shady area in the summer for sitting and the new shack with a mini fridge, cozy/romantic lighting, couch and table. The dock extends out to a deep section of the lake and is wonderful for jumping into the water. We have kayaks, paddle boards and life vests for guests to use. (Not available late Nov. through April for cold water safety)

Everything was perfectly set up. The Lake house was clean, charming and well equipped for our stay. It was so relaxing, sunsets incredible, night sounds put us to sleep every night and the lake was so soft and inviting. We visited the Aurora Inn for dinner, it was wonderful as always! Treleaven Winery was so close… beautiful venue, good times! Aurora Shoe Company not far from the lake house was a great place to pick up some of their awesome shoes too! We look forward to our next stay♥️

My sisters and I were looking for a lake rental, with lake views and a dock, this rental met our expatiations and more. The rental also came with paddleboards and Kayaks, which we enjoyed on the lake. We had a wonderful weekend exploring the local wineries by boat, (highly recommend exploring by boat)and just relaxing. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and we felt right at home. Would definitely come here again.

Nice property and attentive host. Good vacation getaway spot right on the lake. We especially liked the shed down by the water for the kids when they needed a break.

Check in was easy and the cottage was cool and spotless on our arrival.
The gardens and path to the lake are beautiful and the kayaks and paddle boards were a huge hit with our teens. The sunset with a glass of wine on the dock or the hot tub are the perfect place to relax after exploring the local area.
The cottage has pretty much all you could ever need and we ate at home on the deck most days.
We enjoyed hiking and swimming in the waterfall at Robert Treman state park and a great trip to the Corning Museum of Glass and the girls enjoyed the glass blowing class there too.
Overall a great stay and can’t wait to return- thank you Adam!

This property has everything you need to be comfortable and have a wonderful stay! Very relaxing, from the hot tub to the ping pong table and everything in between. Would love to come back when the weather is a bit warmer and have some more time near the lake, it is beautiful. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend at the cottage, very conveniently located to nice wineries and great hiking. Excellent communication from the host as well!

Wonderful home on Cayuga Lake. The views from the main bedroom, and both living areas are extraordinary. Many thoughtful touches such as paper products and soap provided, along with a selection of games and books. While our weather was cooler, and we did not get in the water, we still spent hours on the dock, taking in the stunning view, especially at sunset. The house is even more spacious than it appears in photos, and everything was clean and comfortable. There are wineries and a brewery just a few minutes away. We had a great week and look forward to returning.

Stayed here with my mom and sister. It was clean, cute, comfy and a great place to chill with a breathtaking view of the lake. Not as steep of a walk to the water as many other rentals on the lake and not a ton of stairs either. It was chilly when we were there but the mini split and pellet stove kept us super cozy. The hot tub was great! Would love to come back and bring my kids sometime. One of the best rentals I have stayed at. A few restaurants, and wineries a short drive away but remote enough to be super quiet. A really special place!

We had such a peaceful and relaxing stay. The home is very clean, very comfortable and has all the basics you need. We really enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit and the views of the lake. Thank you for the hospitality!

Property is super cute, cozy, and off the beaten path—perfect for a getaway from the stress of everyday life. Although it was too cold for us to enjoy water activities, and rain prevented the sunset views we were hoping for, this place has everything you could want in a lakefront stay. The owner is super responsive too.

We stayed at the house to go to the Spa at the Inns of Aurora and it was a quick drive into Aurora. The house has everything you could need along with access to the lake with a dock and small private rocky beach. Would love to come back again in the summer!

My partner and I met up with my best friend for a long weekend in the Finger Lakes, and we had a wonderful stay at the Cabin. Clean, cozy, and updated, we had everything that we could want. Treleaven winery is minutes away and several more are close by. Adam was an excellent host, and made sure to alert us about plunging temperatures and advice on how to keep the cabin heated throughout our stay. He also had great recommendations for wineroes, breweries, and activities in the area. The lake shack and hot tub allowed us to enjoy the outdoors even in January. We hughly recommend this property and look forward to returning in the warmer months.

We very much enjoyed staying at Adam's cottage on the lake. The views were beautiful! The cottage was very clean. The location was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed having a hot tub even in the winter, good for relaxing after a day of skiing. We would definitely recommend.

The photos don't do this cottage justice. All rooms but one bedroom face the lake. Great sunsets. Very comfortable!

Really beautiful, clean cottage for a peaceful getaway, with a breathtaking view. Unfortunately, due to instances beyond anyone's control, we had to leave after one night. Adam, the property manage was AMAZING in the situation, and honestly throughout the whole booking expereince, leading up to check in, and during our stay. He called, texted, messaged and was so accomodating and friendly. We were sad we had to leave, but I would recommend the property to others.

5 stars for sure. Great comfortable, clean, fully stocked and fantastic location. This is the perfect getaway location. Host was very kind even called us to tell us the house was ready early so feel free to go in early. That’s simply thoughtful. We will certainly be back.

This little house by Cayuga was PERFECT for our family of 5! We fished, kayaked, sat in the sun, played games, had a ping-pong tournament and ate many meals together. The views from the cottage are great! The mini cottage down by the dock is great when it rains a bit. Adam responded whenever we had questions. We all want to come back again!

The home is lovely and well appointed making for a comfortable vacation in a special setting. The evident recent updates have been done with style and good taste. The kitchen is complete with new appliances and well stocked with quality wares. After a day of lake fun, we were able to enjoy some TV time. The set up allows one to sign in to their own streaming account as we did on Netflix. Among the many modern ammenities you will find very efficient and quiet air conditioners and family size washer/dryer. The week went by too fast and it was difficult to say goodbye.

We had an amazing time staying at Adam’s place. He was very responsive and tended to our needs whenever necessary. We couldn’t have imagined a better place to spend our vacation. The place had everything we needed and more. It was very comfortable, spacious, and the spa and views were amazing. We would highly recommend this place to friends and family. It was an absolute dream. Thanks again Adam for making our stay so memorable.

Beautiful tranquil location. Many outdoor and indoor amenities. Our second stay here and we are already planning our next.

Excellent property. A few minor issues. 1. It would be helpful to have a better explanation as to how to get the pellet stove, the various indoor heaters, and the hot tub on and off. I am an engineer but could not figure it out. 2. Please keep bug spray. The bugs were swarming in the front and back. 3. Get an icemaker or stock the freezer with a bag of ice. Otherwise, great! The property manager was nice enough to give us a late checkout on my girlfriend's birthday. Thanks.

We had a wonderful stay and loved the cottage. Bedding was comfy and the views were beautiful. Wished we could of stayed longer. Also enjoyed exploring Aurora town near by. Thanks so much to our great hosts!

This was my first little getaway as a single mom with my 4 children and it was perfect. The house was exactly as described and pictures aside from not having a blender at the house. It really wasn’t a big deal for us, however, we are big smoothie drinkers so bought stuff to make. Adam was extremely accommodating and dropped a blender off at the house the next day. We really enjoyed the property and spent A LOT of our time down by the dock and shoreline searching for sea glass. My little guy is 2.5 and he could have stayed at the shoreline all day. It’s a small rock filled shoreline but big enough to hang out at all day. We made a fire and had s’mores a couple of the nights and really enjoyed the hot tub after hiking each day. The location really wasn’t bad there is a corner store minutes down the road and Ithaca is about a half hour drive to all the shops and restaurants. We did some hiking at local parks (buttermilk falls, Ludlowville falls, and montezuma wildlife drive). Overall our stay was amazing and the perfect first little getaway as a family of 5. We are thinking of making this an annual thing!

My mother, sister and young son had a really nice weekend at the house. It was very clean and had everything you needed. The beds were comfortable. The view of the lake from the big living room windows was beautiful.
Our host was very responsive to all of our needs and questions that arose. Would definitely stay again.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The cleanliness is superb and it is so comfortable. It is right on the waterfront and has all the amenities you could possibly want. The attention to detail to make you feel as welcome as possible is beyond expectations. Due to weather we couldn’t take advantage of everything but it made us want to go back at a warmer time. The bed and pillows in the master are very comfortable and the view is indescribably beautiful. Adam, the host, is very nice and responsive to any needs you have. You can’t go wrong at this property.

My wife and I enjoyed our 25th wedding anniversary here and everything was just perfect. Sitting by the fire pit and seeing the blanket of stars was just amazing. The jacuzzi was great. The property is very well maintained and clean, the house was really great and we are already planning our next trip with our kids

Comfortable, updated cottage but owners have kept the old cottage feel with pine porch dining room. Great location to Ithaca, bike trails, sunsets.

From beginning to end this was a very positive experience. First, communication with owner was excellent, very prompt and complete answers. Cottage was very well equipped and views/sunsets are spectacular. Visited wineries and several waterfalls.

What a cute little cottage in a perfect location. Beautiful view of the water. Fall colors starting to show, enjoyed the hot tub! Cozy little boathouse to watch the sunsets! Perfect!!

We had a wonderful time staying at this cottage on the lake. The location is perfect! The property and cottage are exactly as pictured and make for a relaxing vacation. The kayaks are a lot of fun, and the dock is a beautiful place to take in the sunset views. In addition, the fishing on the lake is amazing! It was very exciting for our two boys to be able to catch a variety of fish so easily right off the dock. It's very nice that Treleaven Winery and the King Ferry Corner store are so close. They are both worth a visit. The woodfired pizza at Aurora Brewery is good too. Adam was a helpful and responsive host and we would be happy to stay at this cottage again.
