About this house rental

The covered shed area is perfect for dining w/ guests. The house -- built in the mid-1800s -- has modern upgrades and great design sensibility. You are just a five-minute drive to charming downtowns of Margaretville or Andes and 15 minutes to ski mountains. IG: @ dunravenriverhouse
Winter or Summer, this home will meet your every need. The Platte Kill (river in Dutch) runs at the back of the property and leads to the Pepacton reservoir just a few miles away. From the outdoor area with large yard, private swimming hole (approximately 2-4 ft deep depending on rain and seasons), streamside lounging areas, al fresco dining under the string lights, and fire pit to the indoor space with open kitchen, gas stove and grill, giant couch, fully loaded TV, highest speed WiFi available to us (ideal for work from home with all the Zoom calls) and a Stuv wood-burning fireplace. Bathroom —which is on the first floor — includes standing rain shower with clay tiles and modern fixtures. The bathroom also has a new washer/dryer, which is available for use. The bedrooms offer soft cotton/linen bedding, comfortable mattresses and a minimalistic design. The two larger bedrooms have queen-sized beds and each have a desk to set up your at-home office, and the smaller bedroom offers two twins. The kitchen and drop-leaf table in the living room can also double as work spaces, creating four dedicated work spaces in total.
We take cleaning very seriously and follow enhanced guidelines.
Please note: the 2-acre yard and creek are behind the property but the house is close to the road, as is the case with many old homes. Plenty of room for your dogs to roam safely, but we want guests to be fully aware.
Guest access:
Guests will be able to access the back door via a key, which is in our lockbox.
Other things to note:
Please note that the Catskills region has spotty cell service and there is no service without use of WiFi at the house. We have a hard line available for you.
Please send an inquiry for more information about renting the space for events, including parties, weddings and photo shoots.

Super cute house, good books, amazing backyard with volleyball net, swing, and the most precious outdoor dining table. No AC, but even my hot-blooded husband stayed cool all night :) Would be happy to return!

A Great Visit
A lot of places don't live up their pictures. Not here. This place is every bit as charming as the pictures. The fire pit, outside dining area, and chairs by the stream were extremely relaxing and private. You will not run into another person at all. Very secluded, yet only five minutes away from Margaretville. The cottage itself is well appointed with modern appliances and recent renovations. It's apparent that the owner put a lot of thought and love into this property. It has all the benefits of the outdoors with all the luxuries and conveniences of modern living. The owner is also very communicative and responds nearly instantly. I would definitely stay here again.

My family and I had a great experience here. The house had all the necessities and even added things that you wouldn’t think about. The creek in the back yard was a plus for the kids as this added a place for the kids to be out of the house. We loved this place and all the attention to detail. The beds were super comfortable and everything was really clean and neat. The owner put together a little basket of essentials in case we forgot something and shared local treats as well. We truly had a great time, and if we are ever back, we would definitely like to stay at the same place again.
