About this space
Macleay cottage has been completely renovated in 2021 and ready to welcome you.
As you enter Macleay street in the springtime you will be greeted by a mass of purple flowering jacarandas. Then upon entry to this Victorian cottage you will be surrounded by heaps of local arts, crafts and wares all handmade by clever people living in and around Dubbo.
Whether travelling for work or pleasure there is a separate office with fast WiFi and close to the centre of town.

The space
An unforgettable warm and friendly experience awaits you. This adults only retreat is filled with so many local arts and crafts, products and pieces. It’s been an amazing journey and looking forward to sharing all the local businesses stories and their wares with you. Everything has been carefully selected and locally sourced from linen tea-towels, framed art, candles, forged fire tools, skin care, tea and wine and even the ironing board cover are created by Dubbo and nearby clever people.
Bedrooms are appointed with the very best 5 star quality queen beds dressed with freshly pressed 1000 thread count sheets for the very best night sleep all year round. One of the bedrooms has a wall mounted smart TV for those who like to laze in bed and watch their favourite Netflix series.
The rear private garden is the perfect place to unwind from it all with the plunge pool and gentle lighting for evening swims. Within the landscaped area, there is an outdoor shower and large entertaining area with BBQ. In addition there is a small courtyard with a hand forged water feature which is the perfect spot to sit and sip on your morning's coffee while contemplating the day ahead.
Indoors and for the cooler months of the year, there is a fireplace to sit and enjoy a glass of Mudgee wine or beer from the minibar and chatter while the evening slips by.
The lounge area and rear living room both have reverse cycle cooling and heating to cater for all four seasons. Please enjoy the WiFi, speakers and Chrome casting for all your music and television desires plus the NSW Regional Lifestyle magazine to inspire your very own country dream.
There are beautiful toiletries by Dubbo's very own Native Secrets in the bathroom to enjoy while showing under the double rain heads with individual temperature controls. And there’s the fresh fluffy Sheridan towels, hairdryer and straighter.
A dedicated office with a monitor for those working away from home or to catch up on those last minute emails. This space could even be used as a consulting room for visiting professionals.
Our location provides a convenient base to explore everything Dubbo has to offer and we look forward to hosting you.

Located only a few blocks from the centre of town, there is always plenty of on street parking. Macleay cottage is a great base for your stay in Dubbo and you can easily stroll to nearby cafes, restaurants, parks, shops and the CBD.
