Property and cottage could use a little more attention to maintenance and upkeep: paddle boat was broken as were most of the oars/paddles, most pool noodles were broken or in rough shape, eaves trough leaks over door to kitchen, etc.
Despite that, cottage was comfortable inside and we had a great time!

This was our second time staying at this property. It has everything. Beautiful view of the lake. Our family had a wonderful time. We’ll be back again next year.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this cottage! It was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. I will say that I don’t think 7 people would comfortably fit, unless someone was sleeping on the couch. We had 6 people and found it perfect! The host left so many things for us to use, which was so so helpful.
The other thing I will say is that it is a little hard to get to. The GPS will take you down the wrong road so just be mindful!
Would definitely stay here again.

Our family had a wonderful time at this lovely cottage. It was exactly what we expected. It was clean and had everything we needed. Our kids loved the paddle board, canoe and trampoline. They also had the opportunity to fish. Sometimes in the afternoon we’d find them reading in the hammock. We had a couple of rainy days but enjoyed family time inside. The view from the cottage is beautiful. Looking forward to spending another week next year.

The cottage is as described, and the main room / kitchen are larger than pics show. One bedroom was small, but the other two are quite generous. Very clean, spacious bathroom. Fantastic views for a quiet week away from the city. The pedal boat was broken when we arrived, but don't use these boats anyhow. Canoe was new and lake was small enough to take a trip around every day. Great property for games/sports. Bonus... being able to watch the Jays on big screen in living room.

Great location. A teensy bit difficult to find initially with the 10 - 10A. Everything needed was on site. Fun paddle board and canoe were also available and used daily. Close to great walking trails.

I second time spent my vacation on Mckechnie Lake.
And I definitely will be back. That place is so quiet so relax!
Everything is close: the grocery, the trails (10-20 min.)

Location is excellent, quiet, picturesque, sun, shade, cool breezes. Water easily accessible, gentle slope, great for kids. We were disappointed the dock was not in place, just lying along the shore. Had to jump to get on it. No way to tie up a boat or the paddleboat. A canoe was advertised but not on site. Accomodations were clean, comfortable and spacious. Building and grounds need care but nothing that I couldn't live with.

I spend two wonderful weeks in this place! Most of all I liked what I was looking for - silence and the opportunity to relax with my four-legged friends - it's all there! Beautiful nature, short distance to shops(15-20 min. driving), thousands of lakes (for those who love kayaking ). At the beginning of my holiday there were several issues that the property manager quickly resolved. I didn't want to leave!! I plan to come back here next year!

Relaxing and clean property nestled on a peaceful lake. Wonderful morning and evening views from the living room and the deck. The cottage is well equipped and relaxing, indoor and out. It's close enough to the highway and amenities, but tranquil enough you could never tell. Look forward to coming back.

Stressed with the Garbage Disposal
I'm happy with the property but got stressed out with the garbage disposal unclear where to dump, that's why we are delayed in checking out and not happy how my family was approached by the cleaner kind of rude of how she questioned why we have not left the property yet.

Peaceful long weekend on the lake
My partner and I enjoyed our fall-winter weekend on Lake McKechnie. What a beautiful spot and the cottage was nice and cozy (wood stove was a big plus!). Would love to check it out in the summer months and take advantage of the lake/beach next time.

Family weekend getaway
The setting of this property was beautiful, right on the water with lots of land for the dog and children to run around. The actual cottage was fine, had all the basic items required to make our stay comfortable.
