We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage in the woods. Furniture/bed comfy, kitchen had everything we needed. Bathroom very spacious! Hot tub at the end of the day after hiking the Skyline trail was heaven. Access to laundry was an extra perk much appreciated. We recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the awesome Mt Ranier

Truly a lovely experience from beginning to end of our stay. Easy entry- super clean and spacious- had all that we needed and was even better than the photos! Helpful Elk Hideaway binder with info about local restaurants and trails was appreciated. The hot tub was clean and very private.Would highly recommend if visiting Mt. Rainier -just a few miles to Nisqually entrance.

My wife and I stayed here during our visit to Mount Rainier NP. Only a couple miles from the park entrance. Great cabin. Super clean. Wish we could have stayed longer.

I had an amazing stay at the Elk Hideaway! The property is well clean and quaint and the check-in process was a piece of cake. I was beyond grateful that there were so many items that the hosts have thoughtfully made available to their guests - from shampoo/conditioner, to bottled water, and coffee pods and creamers! To top it’s only a 5 minute drive from the Mount Rainier entrance which made my early morning hikes far more convenient. I know where I’ll be staying anytime I visit Mount Rainier!

It was such a relief to arrive in Ashford, after traveling from the east coast, and walk into Elk Hideaway, greeted with a lovely scent and super clean space. The cottage was the perfect size for two people, and we appreciated the extras available (shampoo, bath robes, coffee with real creamer, etc). The hot tub was amazing after long hikes in the park and was in a private location. I have stayed in Ritz Carlton rooms that weren’t as sparking clean as the Elk Hideaway. I am so glad we booked this stay. 10/10 would recommend!

Better Suited for couples, but the kids were fine on the pull out for the two day trip we had.

Second time staying here while hiking Mount Rainier. Planning a 3rd trip next year and stay here again!

This was a perfect place to stay for our 20th Anniversary getaway! The table was large enough for puzzles and board games. The hot tub is very private and easy to set at the desired temperature - something I no longer take for granted at rentals. The whole place was just the right size for us, and felt light and airy. The kitchen was well-stocked, letting us cook several meals easily. (Do make sure that you only drink and cook with water from the filtered tap, as indicated.) Location: Even though other units are on the property, we always had great privacy. We really loved that we were only minutes from Mt Rainier National Park - no long drive after a day of hiking. We also recommend the nearby Ukrainian restaurant - they had really delicious food, especially the Borsch and the Galushki!Overall this rental was fantastic, and we would absolutely visit again!

We had an amazing time! The home was perfect and had everything we needed. It was clean, close to the park entrance and other amenities, and quiet. We hope to return!

This cottage was just wonderful for our 10-day snowy winter stay. Electric heat, gas fireplace, and hot tub on the deck, all stayed toasty during our stay. Local power was out for 4 hours one day due to downed line during a windy snow storm, but the cottage generator kicked on seamlessly and everything worked great. The driveway was plowed for us too! The cottage was well stocked with everything we needed and then some for our long stay. At the Ashford town park, there is a really nice 1-mile nature trail for walking or snow shoeing. We also discovered there are miles of trails nearby for cross-country skiing, snow shoeing or hiking that are groomed & maintained by the Tahoma Trail association. We found more trails at Longmire in the Rainier Nat'l Park. We had hoped to get up to Paradise in the snow but the road there was closed due to fallen trees. So...we have reason to return! We would definitely stay in this cozy cottage again. It is in a great location for outdoor activities any time of year!

A perfect little cabin with knotty pine interior, french doors, gas fireplace, and a hot tub. It is a lot of amenities without feeling cramped. Perfect for 2 people to cozy up before exploring nearby Mt Rainier. During winter bring good books, movies and favorite snacks. The kitchen has most equipment you need.

Loved the location close to Rainier. Comfortable cottage, plenty of room for 2, enjoyed the hot tub. Not a ton for restaurants closeby. Went to a couple, but suggest bringing some groceriea or going to Eatonville for more selection.

One of the Best places we have stayed IN THE WORLD. Spacious one bedroom. Beautifully remodeled. Vaulted ceiling in every room. Feels like home as soon as you enter. Awesome private hot tub on enclosed deck. Owner thought of everything including laundry. Perfect location for hiking Mount Rainier and area. Owner easy to reach. Loved it

A cozy and comfortable getaway that's a short drive to Mount Rainier National Park. Close to nearby groceries and a couple of restaurants. Hot tub is nice, so is the bathroom. Very peaceful property, we'll consider staying here again if we're back up in the NW...

This house is so cute and cozy and feels like a home away from home. This was the second time we have stayed at this property for our anniversary and plan to continue booking here for anniversaries to come. We very much enjoyed the hot tub and the jacuzzi tub, very relaxing. They do a very good job at the upkeep of the property and provide little extras that make the experience/vacation even better. Cant wait to come back next year!

Great getaway cabin.

We liked the quaint and comfortable atmosphere of the cottage. Very clean and had all the essential comforts along with WiFi. Although there were guests in two neighboring cottages on the property, we never heard them.
Not much to dislike. The French doors to the bedroom needed adjustment, but that was a minor thing.

Elk Hideway is a Very nice little pine paneled house in the woods with its own hot tub. Even though the tub is somewhat over chemicalized. Easy to find and down the road from a few good restaurants.

Excellent private cottage near Mt. Rainier!
Excellent hospitality! Very clean and comfortable for our family of three. Kitchen condiments, cookware and bakeware provided. Filtered drinking water provided in full kitchen with oven, toaster, microwave dishwasher and coffee and tea from the hosts :). Large spacious clean bathroom with a huge tub/shower and private hot tub on the back patio. Only 3 miles from the entrance of Mt. Rainier National Park. Perfect for a quiet time of relaxation and vacation. Private and safe location. Hosts were very kind and responsive to any questions. We all enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful cabin in great location! Would love to stay here again!

Beautiful place to disconnect
The cabin is so cute and cozy. The private hot tub is real winner. The owners obviously know what people want in the area. Bring what you need! As described, there’s not many places to pick up stuff. Our only suggestion would be to have a coffee maker. They have a Kurig but you can’t buy pods anywhere close. Make sure you bring USB/AC plugs if needed. Also, no ice maker so stop and pick up a bag. The grounds are well maintained, never felt like we needed 4x4 or might of been stuck. The park is 10 minutes up the road, so beautiful! We would love to go back.

Perfect for a Quick Getaway
Everything was as described. The hosts did a great job of making this place feel like a retreat from real life. They were great at communicating when a couple problems did arise and worked to resolve them quickly. We will definitely be looking forward to another long weekend here!

Amazing property!!!
My lady and I were very impressed with this home. We love the privacy and how the cottage is spacious. Communication was excellent. We had no issue with the WIFI or the heat. I like that we had all the kitchen utensils to cook, which we cooked every day. The nearest market is about 30 mins away. The hot tub was very relaxing. Probably my favorite of everything else. The setup with the lights and the tall fence surrounding the balcony. At night, it slightly rained, but the tree hanging over the hot tub kept us covered. Overall, we had a great time. I highly recommend it, especially for couples.

Great location and access to Mt Rainier NP
The house was just as advertised. Very cozy with all essential amenities on site. Host was very responsive to any questions we had regarding the property. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to have a comfortable spot to come back to after long days exploring the park.

The design of this cabin was very comfortable. We appreciated the stove on the cool winter nights at Elk Hideaway. Mostly, we loved being able to soak in the hot tub after adventuring in the forest.

Cozy Cabin
We had a lovely experience at the Elk Hideaway. It was very quiet, clean, and well organized. The jacuzzi was amazing as it started to snow. It’s a only a short 5 minute drive from the park entrance as well.

A beautiful cozy cabin!
What a beautiful, bright, peaceful and cozy little cabin, in a spectacular forest setting! The hosts have done an amazing job with this property, thinking of every touch. Even the hand-crafted guest book included every detail we needed to have a wonderful visit. The private hot tub was heavenly. Just a few minutes from the Nisqually entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park, the cabin grounds were a nature sanctuary themself, with gigantic trees draped in moss. I'm an amateur birder, and saw three "lifers" right out the windows in our first two days. We look forward to returning!

Awesome relaxing stay!
I had a fantastic 2 night stay in this peaceful little cabin. It’s rustic without being overdone. The hot tub is great, the shower is great, I slept really well. It’s proximity to the Nisqually entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park can’t be overstated, it’s right next door! Awesome place, I’ll be returning. Everything is well spelled out in the guide the hosts provide.

Great Little Cabin
The cabin is so close to the park! It was bigger then we expected and nicely appointed.
