This little cottage has everything you might need or want for a perfect getaway. It is beautifully decorated and the host is creative and responsive. The deck and view are wonderful, looking down on a babbling brook and out into the forest. It’s far enough away to let you feel remote, but close enough to a downtown area so you can still feel connected. We will definitely consider this charming spot for another vacation.

The cottage was everything as advertised. We had all the things we needed for our short start. Beautiful and peaceful setting! Would highly recommend.

We really liked the colorful decor and the comforts of home. The peaceful and beautiful creek were the icing on the cake. The only thing I would recommend would be to have doors (versus curtains) for each bedroom for privacy and to minimize sounds in the kitchen and/or living room.

We had a lovely time staying in this charming mountain cabin. Everything we needed was provided with lots of extra perks. The entire place was cozy, clean and brightly decorated. It was a joy to be in each space of the cabin. We loved sitting on the side porch, listening to the stream, and enjoyed the birds, bunnies and chipmunk that came to visit! We also enjoyed a meal at the picnic table under the shelter that was down beside the stream - so relaxing and peaceful. The beds were very comfortable, and communication with the host couldn't have been easier. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. We left feeling refreshed at the end of our stay. Loved it!!

The house is in a great location, close to many different hiking trails. I love the stream that runs along the back of the house, which you can hear from the back deck. The fire pit and shelter are a nice added feature. Going down to the shelter and fire pit is steep, so be careful with little kids or anyone with issues walking. The house is small, but enough room for 2-3 people. We had no issue with the shared bathroom, but the shower is small and may not be comfortable for larger individuals. The owners live next door with their adorable pup. They were very nice & were responsive to texts. The only thing I didn’t care for was i felt there was a lack of privacy on the deck due to the view of the owner’s house. Some sort of privacy screen along that side would be nice.

Very restful in a beautiful tastefully decorated little house in a delightful mountain town with tons of shops and restaurants to visit. The owners have thought of everything you might need for a wonderful stay in their home including homemade cookies that were awesome, snacks, coffee, spices if you want to cook. It’s perfect.

The creek on site was definitely a fan favorite for our young crew. Pack boots and extra socks! The cottage is full of charm, personality and small surprises. We would happily return.

We had a great stay. The cutest little cottage! It was very clean, cozy, and great for a long weekend with our kids. The backyard space is beautiful and the location is close to downtown Hendersonville. It had everything we needed and more.

One of our best adventures ever (we are in our early seventies). Cute and functional cottage. The hosts (Diane and Ty) are the best. This was our first Vrbo rental and very pleased with our visit. We enjoyed the evenings by the fire. The property has a brook running next to the fire pit. We enjoyed the sounds of trickling water. Our hosts provided us baked cookies and bread, very tasty.
Hendersonville was a great town and many interesting shops and eateries. Arabella’s is a must for breakfast and Brooks Tavern should be on the short list. Enjoyed Mast General Store. Ingles grocery is five minutes away.

We absolutely loved this place it looks just like the photos!
My only suggestion is to replace the curtain between the living room and the bedroom with a door which would provide more privacy and diminish sounds .
We loved the location, the beautiful deck, backyard and especially the stream and Lola !

When you arrive and open the door it is completely welcoming. The home is well kept. The kitchen had everything we could ask for. The back yard was like a storybook dream. When you walk down the path into the backyard you go over a small bridge and turn the corner to see an adorable outdoor covered fireplace and then you see a firepit with comfortable chairs off in the short distance. A place to call home even for our short stay.

We absolutely loved this sweet little cottage that feels tucked back in the woods, but is just barely off the beaten path. The owners were so welcoming & made sure we had all the comforts of home. We had the best weekend get away & even made it to sunrise at Pretty Place chapel (about 40 min away) to check off from our bucket list 💙

I needed to get away for a couple of days and just relax. The cottage was such a great place for that. Far enough off the beaten path to be comfortable and quiet but close enough to surrounding attractions to be accessible. I could see staying here again.

Ty & Diane are just fantastic people hosting fantastic cottage out there! The place was pitch perfect with perfect size for our family of 4. It is a very functional place by the creek and grand views. Nice fire place and outdoor dinner area. You'll find your isolation on the property and it is close to great places and things to do around Hendersonville. They are also very personable and they made our visit memorable and comfortable. We can't wait to visit again!

We’ve stayed in many rental properties in the past but this one was special. We really enjoyed the relaxed, peaceful setting and all the amenities Shaw Creek cottage had to offer. The location is stunning and the cottage is bright and welcoming. It’s the perfect size for a small family, impeccably clean and cozy. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Thank you Diane and Ty for sharing your little peace of paradise with us. Looking forward to the new rails to trails conversion coming soon. We will definitely be back!

Perfect little cottage, bright with happy colors that bring a smile to the face. Located very close to downtown Hendersonville, with short and pretty drives to Dupont State Forest & Pisgah National Forest - land of the waterfalls.. Cleanliness and attention to detail made for a relaxing stay., with a creek down below that soothes the weary traveler. A lovely experience in every way! This is a cottage you will enjoy and remember fondly!

Vacation with Grandchildren
What an amazing home for a week vacation with grandchildren! The house was the perfect size for our group. Most of the time we were at the cottage was spent outside on the deck and along the small creek. My grandchildren loved to explore the back yard from the minute they got up in the morning until evening.
The cottage is very clean and well supplied with all of the essentials for daily living. It is centrally located so that you can plan a week of activities within a 45 minute radius.
The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions for activities and restaurants in the area. They told us about the Hooker Falls swimming hole that was amazing!!! We enjoyed are stay so much that we plan to make this an annual event.

Coziest Spot Ever!!
The house was so cozy and wonderfully decorated, we absolutely loved it. It's really charming and was a treat to come back to each evening after an afternoon of hiking. I'm a light sleeper but that comfortable bed and peaceful setting allowed me to really slumber. The yard is absolutely amazing, and the perfect setting for outdoor hanging. The hosts could not have been nicer and were only there when you needed them. I absolutely loved our stay so much, if I'm back that way I'll definitely stay there again!
