The inside of the house was as describe however there were definitely some problems with the property. The grass on the front lawn was not cut and was about waist high. There are signs all over the house saying not to leave the property and that the neighbor who owns the property behind has cameras and will press charges for trespassing. This was not in the description and it should be. If the grass had been taken care of it would not have felt as restricted. We booked months in advance so there is no excuse as to why the grass was not taken care of. If the grass can’t be cut for whatever reason that should also be stated in the description. We couldn’t let our dog out in the yard because of the high grass and ticks. The neighbors house is very close which is not pictured or in the description. If the property can’t be left they should install a fence around theirs. It felt very restrictive, had we known about how small the property was and that the grass would not be tended to we would have simply booked something else.

The house was a very cute ski cabin-y feeling vacation spot with a gorgeous view of the reservoir. Location was great- not too far from the center of Wilmington. And a drive through the mountains/National Forest away from the other cities/tourist areas near Bennington. It snowed while we were staying and the owners stayed on top of plowing so we could drive in and out - they weren't kidding about needing 4WD to get in and out in the winter. Overall, we'd come back in a heartbeat

This cabin was cute and conveniently located near the mount snow. The one major downfall was the cleanliness of the bed. We arrived late Friday night and finally went to bed around 2 am. When I pulled down the comforter the white sheet was covered in black dog hair. Clearly the sheets were not washed or changed between stays. Luckily I found clean sheets in a dresser and changed them. The next morning I reached out through the VRBO app and never got a response back. It very disappointing since people pay a hefty cleaning fee when booking. Other than that the house was good.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this cozy rustic cottage. It’s perfect if your looking for some R&R and time at the lake. There are shops and restaurants just a few miles down the road. It was very clean and fully equipped to accommodate to make meals. As they mention in the write up, I would say not a good place for small kids with all the stairs and not much of a yard.

My girlfriend and I had a good time at the cabin. The place is clean, the kitchen is well equipped and there is a nice view in the back on the forest. The bed sheets are clean and a very good quality!

Loving the old Vermont charm
I have to say, this was the cutest house. It definitely gave us the old vermont charm.
We had 8 people and it was cozy enough to fit us all. It was very clean when we got here. We never needed to call anyone with a issue. Spot is across the street from the lake where we rented a pontoon boat...that's a must do in the summer here. House had no ac but we didn't need it despite being in a heatwave. Overall, we would definitely rent this cabin again.

Vermont woods
The cottage was cozy and just right for the 6 of us (myself, my husband, our two adult sons, and my brother). The kitchen is small, but perfectly fine for two people to work in. It was unusually hot the week we were there and the AC didn't do a good job of cooling, which is understandable - most places in VT don't even have AC. Windows open and fans at night made it perfect for sleeping and we spent the days outside anyway. Would stay there again!
