Highly recommended it.

Okay. So the pictures are great, kinda like that selfie that you set up to show you in your best light at just the right angle. The reality was a once beautiful home, subdivided poorly into multiple apartments, with some atrocious DIY, decorated and appointed with second hand stuff and rapidly sliding into decay. In all, it reeked of despair.

Great experience checking in and getting help during the stay. The layout of apt 1 is a little weird. You can only get to the bedroom through the bathroom. Little awkward if you've got to take care of "business." Upstairs guests were very loud at times sounded like they were building something.
Kitchen was well stocked; bed was comfy. Futon sofa not the most comfy, but the leather chairs were VERY comfy.

The house is old and has some quirky-ness in the layout, but worked for our family visit for Vassar graduation, since we were able to rent both apt 1 and 2. There are some tenants living in the other parts of the house, so a bit odd, but there was enough parking with the circle driveway.

We were visiting our daughter at nearby Vassar College, and our stay was convenient and well supported. The space worked well for us, and communication was great. Thanks!

Had a great stay. The exterior of the house could use some TLC but the apartment was nicely furnished and comfortable. Loved the diamond door stop. Check in and out were easy.

Overall, the photos and prior reviews described this place pretty accurately. The living room, dining room, and bedroom were all large and well-appointed. The bathroom was tiny and cramped in comparison to the rest of the property. However, the space suited our needs for a short stay. Our host was attentive on the front end of our trip, but not responsive to later communication which was mildly frustrating. We liked the historic touches throughout the property. I would certainly stay again if in the area.

Overall was quite comfortable only issue
was bathroom , location & layout not best for multiple guests but adequate. Rest of
apt was great - use of well stocked kitchen
with utensils and cooking requirements.
Would stay there again and would recommend staying there to anyone.

A beautiful apartment! The small touches were so sweet…the huge diamond doorstop in the bedroom, candles on the dining room table and coffee/tea in the pantry. A quiet neighborhood near Main Street. A relaxing stay!

Great potential
It is a lovely, elegant Victorian house with large rooms, high ceilings, chandeliers, marble fireplaces, but the decorations, pictures, etc. look like them came from someone’s attic or hard sale. Outside the lawn had not been mowed for several weeks and weeds abounded. With some thoughtful interior decoration and lawn/weed control it could be a truly lovely place.

Awesome Find
It is a hidden gem in Poughkeepsie. We had gone for a visit to Vassar College. We always stayed at Chain Hotels in the past. We took a chance at the last minute.
This property is very convenient to Vassar and is centrally located. Very well appointed.
Owners communications were flawless.
Definitely recommend it.

A great place to stay. The space is phenomenal- huge rooms, high ceilings and lovely period decor. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom works well (though its position between rooms is a little quirky). There’s a good size full kitchen and most needs are provided for with the exception of a non-stick frying pan.
We loved this elegant space and would stay again in a heartbeat.
