The history, location, unique touches, outdoor grill, enclosed patio with hot tub were perfect. This home is made for family gathering and relaxation. Cindy and Craig were kind and responsive. We will definitely be back!

This property exceeded all of our expectations. It has an interesting lay out, but great for a family get together for some time in the mountains. The beds are so comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The couch in the front room is very comfortable, and don't forget the heated floors. The backyard space is perfect, we arrived to a warm hot tub, music playing some some twinkle lights to set the ambiance.

My family had an amazing time over spring break. The house was just as listed and perfect for what we needed. Sure it’s a little dated and a tad unusual, but very clean, functional and fun. The kitchen was well stocked and perfect for preparing family meals. The back patio area was a great place to unwind and hot tub after a long day. And the location was perfect, just a 10 minute or less walk to most downtown restaurants and 5 mins to the river. Spent the week snowboarding all day and fly fishing the Ark each evening. Finally, the hosts could not have been nicer and were easy to communicate with. I will definitely return!

Very comfortable and clean spot. Loved that they had a stereo on site as we forgot ours. The hot tub was glorious as well for post skiing recovery. Hope to come back!

Pros: Great, well-maintained hot tub on covered back porch. Lots of gathering space. Architectural charm, heated floors. Great host.
Cons: 2nd bathroom is cramped. Dated interiors.
This house is spacious, but it is old. Like over 100 years old in the original part! Every old house has its idiosyncrasies, so there were a few things which came up during our nearly month-long stay. Craig was a truly fantastic host. He asked US on day one if we had any questions about the house. He addressed any issues immediately. Maintained the hot tub regularly. He really went above and beyond; we could not have asked for more.
What to know when deciding to book: the furniture, carpeting, and appliances are dated. If "new" and "modern" are important to you, then maybe keep looking. If you want a "laid back, lived-in" vibe, then this place is great.
We honestly chose this home because a hot tub after a day on the mountain is a number one priority. So it met our top requirement perfectly!
Our family enjoyed our stay, and especially the attentive hosts, Craig and Cindy.

We had a great time staying here! Perfect house and the hot tub was very nice. My husband had to work a little while we were staying here, which was a little difficult because the wifi was spotty, but other than that everything was fantastic! We would highly recommend and will most likely be back!

This house was wonderful and has lots of space! Having the hot tub was great at night. The walk to town and the river is easy. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Salida Get-a-way
This was a perfect get-a-way for our two families and our adult children with their plus one. The property is comfortable with space to get away for quiet time. We enjoyed the hot tub and it was plenty warm. Downtown was close enough to walk to. I would happily rebook for another time!

Easy location and great stay
Great value and stay! The location was a 10-15 minute walk, or a very short drive to downtown Salida. Everything in the home was as pictured and described. The back patio with the covered hot tub made for an amazing vacation space with lots of privacy! Beds were a bit firm for us, but that really wasn’t a big deal for a few days’ vacation stay. Master suite was wonderful overall and has its own door outside to the hot tub. Tons of room to spread out, and a great stay in this sweet Salida home!

Great place close to downtown
The place was nice with large open areas. The outdoor patio is a nice area to hang out with it being enclosed to break the wind and weather.
