THE DETAIL
Porters Court is an exclusive development of just 8 villas nestled within landscaped tropical gardens with a communal pool, accessed via security gates. It is located 45 minutes driving (47km/29 miles) from Barbados' international airport (BGI) and just 5 minutes walk from the beach.
All guests of No 7 can access the Beach Club facilities at the luxurious 5* Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel. This gives No 7 guests complimentary sun loungers and parasols, free WiFi and 10% discount on food and drink for up to four people. Also discount on water sport facilities, on a pay as you go basis.
No 7 - the Green Carib, named after our regular hummingbird visitor - is a charming interior designed detached villa with 2 kingsize bedrooms (one of these can be separated into 2 single beds) each with their own en-suite modernised shower rooms. The villa is all on one level, built along traditional Bajan chattel house design with high pickled pine ceilings and polished hardwood floors.
Our housekeeper is available once a week (included), depending on arrival dates. Our Property Management Company provides a comprehensive service to all our guests and a dedicated team in Barbados ensures all your questions are dealt with promptly. Our Villa Manager, Jeanine, will organise for any supplies you request to be ready and waiting for you when you arrive at a small fee - perhaps some rum punch to welcome you after your journey and some basics for your first evening and breakfast? She can also help with taxi transfers from the airport and advise on car rental (hire cars can be delivered to the villa).
There is a full time gardener and pool maintenance twice a week.
The villa has air conditioning and ceiling fans in the main living area, both bedrooms as well as a ceiling fan outside on the veranda. It has been newly updated, painted inside and out and furnished (2022/2023) to reflect traditional Barbados stylish living while providing a pure sense of comfort. The villa is complimented by a covered veranda area ideal for outdoor dining and relaxation. No 7 is very fortunate to have a wonderful view from the veranda of the local countryside. And the side veranda looks over the pool, ideal if you have young children.
There is an open plan living area with comfortable sofas, flat screen TV, Cable TV, Sonos sound system, optic fibre, fast broadband WiFi (100+Mbps) and a well-equipped kitchen including a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine. There is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, and a guest powder room (WC).
Both bedrooms have newly installed en-suite shower rooms (September 2022 and September 2023), fully fitted wardrobes, air conditioning, ceiling fans plus hair dryers and hair straighteners.
All linens, towels and beach towels are provided. There are 4 folding beach chairs in the villa for your use, together with a couple of cool boxes. There is a Weber Gas BBQ on the veranda for your personal use.
On the pool deck there are sun loungers and large parasols.
Guests are all provided with an extensive Information Pack with details of the beaches, restaurants, and all the various attractions of Barbados on sea and on land.
No 7 Porters Court is ideally suited to explore the island. It is located on the prestigious West Coast in the parish of St. James. The crystal blue water of the Caribbean sea is just 350 metres away at Alleyne’s Bay and can be accessed via the royal palm-lined driveway to the Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel or by a path close to the renowned Lone Star Restaurant and informal beach bar JuJu’s.
There is also the beach and an excellent restaurant - the Sea Shed - at Mullins Bay which is a short drive away - and for water sports fanatics there is plenty of opportunity to take part in a wide variety of activities including diving, snorkelling, water skiing and jet skiing on all the local beaches.
If you can bear to leave the beach, Holetown is just over a mile and a half to the south, only a 10 minute drive away. Here you will find beach-front bars, top-class restaurants, a well stocked supermarket, two shopping malls, banks, coffee shops, a small branch of Cave Shepherd selling duty free goods, and even a business centre. Pay a visit to the Chattel House Village - a small collection of beautiful chattel-styled shops selling jewellery, swimwear, t-shirts, the Gourmet Shop and every type of souvenir imaginable.
Holetown also has some wonderful restaurants - many of which have tables overlooking the sea - such as Tides, Zaccios and Paul Owens At The Beach House.
Nearer to home you could sample the delights of the famous Lone Star Restaurant for lunch or dinner - just a 10 minutes walk, or visit the beach front club, bar and restaurant at the luxurious Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel - just 5 minutes away. This is an excellent choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner, offering superb food and a first class service - and 10% discount with the Beach Club membership.
Further afield, Bridgetown, the capital is about a 30 minute drive south along the stunning coastal road. It is a lively, bustling town - and well worth a visit particularly for its historic buildings including the Garrison, the Parliament, the Careenage, and the Old Spirit Bond. Oh and the Mount Gay Distillery Tour & Rum Tasting (close to Rihanna Drive, Rihanna's childhood home)!
For golf enthusiasts, Porters Court is a 5-minutes' drive away from the Royal Westmoreland Golf Course and a 12-minutes' drive from the Sandy Lane Golf Course - two of the finest golf courses in the Caribbean.
It is not essential to hire a car during your stay. There is an excellent public bus service along the West Coast and you can easily pick up one of the fast and frequent buses to get around. Taxis are in plentiful supply too.
However if you like your independence and really want to explore the island at your leisure car hire is easily available and can be booked care of our Villa Manager. There are plenty of stunning beaches to visit on the wilder East Coast including Bathsheba and Cattlewash, the surfers' paradise at The Soup Bowl and even "Outer Banks" film locations including St John's Parish Church and Animal Flower Cave to the north (for fans of the TV programme there are also closer locations to the villa including the Pier at Port St Charles and the Cove Springs House just 5 minutes walk).
When to visit: The climate in Barbados is tropical, warm and humid all year round. Average temperatures range from 21C at night to 31C during the day (70F to 88F). February-June is driest. June-October is hotter with averages of 30C/86F and a little wetter with occasional rain showers but these are quickly followed by sunshine again and you won't be kept off the beach for long. Really handy for the beach and use of the Fairmont Royal Pavillion beach club is excellent.

Clean and beautiful villa. Perfect location and membership at the Fairmont Pavilion was the icing on the cake. The owners and management company couldn’t do enough for us. Five star and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I cannot recommend No.7 Porters Court enough. We had a wonderful stay and were so sad to leave. The villa was spotless, and a real home from home. It has everything you could need and we were really comfortable during our 12 night stay. The location is brilliant and having the beach passes was an added bonus. Porters Court itself is tucked away and peaceful. The gardens are so well maintained and pretty. Helen, Jeanine and Sheila were all so helpful. I hope to be back some day!

The property was perfect and had everything we needed during our stay. We were able to reach the property manager anytime if we had a concern. We had an issue with the wifi password which was quickly rectified. The location of the property was conveniently located with easy access to the Fairmont property where we enjoyed having access to beach chairs and umbrellas. We would definitely stay here again either with our teenage kids again or with another couple. It’s very well set up for both options.

Our family spend two weeks at Porters during the end of July, and we were more than impressed both by the location of the property and proximity to nearby beaches and restaurants as well as the general maintenance and upkeep of the property. Our hosts Helen and Dave were engaging and informative with the property prior to check in, and very helpful throughout the trip, with a ton of local info in Villa to get you around the island.
Beds and living area very comfortable and air conditioning worked terrific during the hotter weather. Shiela and the maintenance staff took great care of them property while we were there and were very kind and helpful overall. Jeanine the property manager helped us out numerous times during our stay and made renting a car and getting grocery’s for check in seamless.
Definitely would recommend this property with local access to gorgeous beach, and a nice pool on property to relax at. Looking forward to our next trip back to Barbados !

The property and Villa were perfect! It was clean and well maintained and the landscaping was nice. It felt like a little hideaway.
We were so close to the beach, we basically just had to walk across the street. We went to the grocery store and had breakfast and lunch at home and we took the bus out for dinner every night. All the recommendations from the host were great for eating out! Our flight home was delayed 3 days and Helen and her staff went above and beyond to help us for our extended stay. We highly recommend Porters Court if you take a trip to Barbados!

This villa won't disappoint. It was bright and airy with valuted ceilings and a welcoming veranda. The villa came equipped with everything we needed, making our vacation very pleasant. It came with beach passes to the Fairmont Beach Club which made our stay that much more convenient and enjoyable. We enjoyed a week here in a villa that is lovely and well equipped. It is just 5 minutes walking from the beach, and faces on to a private pool shared by just 8 villas in a gated community. Walked distance to several great restaurants including Lonestar. Will definitely return.

Had a wonderful week in Porters. The villa was decorated to a high standard and had everything you could wish for. Was lovely for 2 friends as we both had ensuite facilities. Location was perfect, literally a 2 minute walk over the road to the Royal Pavillion beach club with excellent facilities. Had a wonderful week!

The villa was in a lovely peaceful location. Myself and my 14 year old daughter could breakfast on the veranda with the sights and sounds of the local wildlife. The pool available for a cooling dip when needed.
The access to the local beach and hotel sun beds just 5 mins walk made the holiday and the beach was truly stunning.
The holiday was made simple from start to finish as Jeanine the villa manager was on hand to arrange airport taxis and other trips with the ever helpful Max.
The villa feels traditional yet it is well equipped with modern decor , spacious and spotlessly clean.
We can’t wait to come back. Thanks.

Had a fantastic time at Porters Court, the villa had everything & the location was superb. Would definitely recommend

We had a fab stay at 7 Porters Court, and a brilliant holiday. The villa is great for a small family (we were 2 adults and 2 teens). It’s only 2 mins walk to Fairmont beach club which is a fantastic perk to have - we went every day and were looked after by beach guys there. We did water sports, swam in the warm sea, and ate/drank in the beach bar. Was good for meeting people there, and they showed live sport on the tv. Villa is 15 min walk to holetown or a few mins on buses which are very frequent and cheap. We went to holetown most nights for food, bus there and back. Climate in Dec was just beautiful, and locals were friendly, it felt very safe. All in all a great holiday and we all want to go back! If we do, we’ll definitely try to book porters court again.

Villa is on a little compound with 7 others sharing a pool. It is a very quiet and safe location, a short walk to the beach.
The property has everything you may need, the aircon works wonders, it was possible to order a grocery pack on our arrival too. It is cleaned twice weekly (thoroughly) and was just what we needed.

Excellent service by Steve, Amanda and Gabriel. Would recommend and would stay again!
Very helpful and friendly and a beautiful villa in a quiet but prime location. Good WiFi and work space too for working from home.

We really enjoyed our stay in Porters Court in Steve and Amanda’s villa. They are great hosts - although overseas, the communication was excellent and the local property manager was very helpful! We loved the pool being right next to the villa - it was always only us in there!
The complex itself is very secure and has a great community feel. I would definitely recommend the villa and Steve and Amanda. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The house is comfortable and pleasant. We preferred to go to the beach for 1 minute by car, walking is about 10. Very pleasant impressions will remain about accommodation!
5.0
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Communication with the owner was easy and seamless. We took advantage of the pre-arranged airport transfer which made getting to the property a breeze. The accommodations were exactly as described on the website and we really appreciated the outdoor space. The home was clean and the bathrooms had great shower pressure. For the ladies, it's important to note that nice hairdryers are available in each bedroom. We took advantage of the Fairmont passes and used both the beach and the pool area. The community pool at Porters was a bit crowded during our stay and this was probably due to the holiday season - Overall a fantastic stay

We had a fantastic time and didn’t want it to end!

The property is big, clean and has everything you need in it. It is perfectly situated within Porters court with views of the pool from one side of the veranda and great countryside views on the other. The outside area is quiet and the pool is a great size and we usually had it to ourselves. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach and the beach club We were there in August and the beach was lovely and quiet, the beach is sandy and gently sloping . Membership to the Fairmont Beach Club was included and we used it a lot. No matter what time we arrived we were able to get 4 sun loungers in the shade . The bus stops just outside but we also walked to Holetown several times .
Fantastic place , really can’t fault it

My husband and I stayed for two weeks at Amanda's villa for our honeymoon. The whole experience was exceptional from booking our trip to get tips on where to go and places to visit.
The villa was absolutely beautiful with gorgeous bedrooms, veranda where we ate most evenings and a relaxing living area. Situated moments away from the beach club which really did make our trip the villa offers everything you'd want in a relaxing holiday.
We will definitely be back!
