I had read reviews and the only negative was that the host was too nice. I warned them that my wife is a bit agoraphobic (clinically) so they were great. Answered every question in minutes and respected our privacy. We really really loved the accommodations. The host know the area well and would be a great resource as well.

Beautiful property on lake and was perfect for swimming, kayaking, and relaxing! The loft apartment was decorated super cute, Paula and Jim made us feel right at home! The restaurant we drove to was about 20 mins away Water’s Edge Dock & Grill on the water, food was outstanding! I will definitely be booking again, thank you Paula and Jim for a wonderful weekend!

The lakefront loft was exactly as pictured and described. The hosts were wonderful and even left fresh muffins for breakfast for the next morning. We enjoyed sitting outside on our private balcony for coffee in the morning and the lower porch in the evenings to watch the activity on the lake. Thanks for a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend and return in the future.

From the cozy, clean, fully up fitted loft apartment to the beautiful lakefront view, and to the genuine love and hospitality of the owners, you feel as if you are at a home away from home. Paula and Jim welcome you as family and the tranquility of the property is wonderful. We can't wait to go back and renew our spirits again!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful lakefront home. The unit had everything we needed and then some! The location was so restful and we greatly enjoyed the lake activities, making for a perfect anniversary get away. Hosts were pleasant and had thought of everything. 10/10 would stay again!

Very comfortable loft with all essentials available. The hostess is very communicative and hospitable. The lake view is so relaxing that I felt rested and restored, I just wanted to be there enjoying that quiet moment in life as long as possible. I definitely will come back.

My wife and I wanted a nice quiet getaway for our 38th wedding anniversary. The apartment overlooked the lake with a beautiful view and the place was clean a very comfortable. Our host were a pleasure to talk to and available if we had any questions or needs. Would definitely stay there again.

The weekend was magical! The owners were very friendly and check in was easy. The bay window view from the apartment was stunning! Allowing us to use the dock on High Rock Lake was great! If you are a star gazer and it is a clear night, you will be treated to a star gazing show. The kitchen was large and fully stocked, the bed comfortable. We would definitely go back again! Thank you Jim and Paula for allowing us to stay!

Hands down the best VRBO we've stayed at. Location location location!! Wow everything was just how we hoped. Didn't want to leave. The hosts were wonderful and the surprise fireworks show was incredible. The space was cozy and comfy and the bed was super comfortable. Definitely going to be back in a future stay!

A beautiful piece of property with everything you could possibly need! Every comfort of home and delicious muffins. Easy checkin and very hospitable owners. My only complaint would be there was no mention of the tenants in the basement that stayed on the dock all day Saturday. Some people don’t mind hanging out with people they don’t know but my husband and I were hoping to have the dock to ourselves for the time we paid for. If you don’t mind hanging out with another couple on a small dock then you’ll really enjoy your stay! I feel like it should have been made clear that there would be other people on the property (besides the owners). If I had wanted to hang out with strangers I would have gone to a hotel. Other than that-beautiful, comfortable little getaway!

The hosts are fantastic, and extremely helpful. The apartment is everything that is listed, and more. There's little homey touches throughout the entire place. There's a great little floating dock to fish from, as well. Miss Paula sure knows how to bake some mean banana nut muffins, as well. This is definitely one of the most unique VRBO rentals I've stayed in yet, and will definitely be returning to in the future. Thanks, Paula and Jim!!!

This property was spacious, well appointed, and very clean. It was wonderfully quiet and the lakeview did not disappoint. Being between seasons, the exterior grounds lack appeal but that should soon change as Spring unfolds.

This property was absolutely perfect for a long weekend visiting some of the best wineries north carolina has to offer. Everything you could want or need is waiting for you here. A special greeting from the owners for my wifes birthday was an added personal touch. Stay here when you are in the area...you will not be disappointed.

Quaint apartment with a beautiful view of the lake. I enjoyed relaxing and watching the water until the sun went down and watching the sun come up while drinking my coffee the next morning. The owners are a couple of the most hospitable and enjoyable people I have ever met. A relaxing and enjoyable experience!

We loved staying in this loft and only regret we couldnt stay longer. It was private, peaceful and very accomodating. We loved everything from the location (not too far from uptown Lexington) to the comfortable furniture to the muffins she left us. But the most breathtaking was the view of High Rock Lake. I could say so much more. Dont take my word for it. See for yourself! We wanted to use the kayak but will have to come back for that. Such sweet folks too. ❤

We ABSOLUTELY loved our stay. When we arrived we had a nice personalized welcome note and muffins on the counter. The property was very clean and put together. It's more beautiful in person than what you see on the photos. Paula and Jim were very pleasant both on the phone and when we saw them in person. Although they are on the property you still have your privacy. I would HIGHLY recommend you book. I do plan to return soon.

This rental is an adorable apartment above the sweetest couple's garage. But your living area is private. It has everything you will need. The best part is that the property is on a lake at the end of a road. It is so beautiful, peaceful and relaxing! The owners are super hospitable and kind. If we ever return to this area this is where we'll stay. Enjoy!!

Paula and Jim were so kind and were quick to assist if we needed anything. The room was beautiful and sitting by the lake in the evening was very relaxing! Comfortable bed and had everything you needed in the kitchen. Will absolutely stay again and 10/10 recommend. Our next stay we will for sure make use of the kayaks that are available to guests! 😊

Everything was wonderful! Very cute and cozy apartment style accommodations with you own kitchen and living area that has a beautiful bay window looking out over the lake. We enjoyed the kayaks too!
