Wonderful backyard right on a gorgeous cove with 180 views. House is in great shape and tastefully decorated. Local restaurants are excellent as well.

House is adorable and full of thoughtful touches!

We loved our stay in Prospect Harbor - everything was great. We were nervous not having AC, but the windows had screens so we were able to leave them open and feel cool all night. We were given the wrong door code but customer support was able to promptly get us the right code, even though we showed up at 11PM. Highly recommend, we will be returning!

Beautiful place to stay. Gorgeous, relaxing view.

The location was great. Had some spectacular sunrises. We missed not having a hammock. But had a great place to stay.
4.5
The view was outstanding. Great location. The best part was just taking a breath and relaxing both indoors or outdoors. No issues with water pressure as others have noted. Six adults and we always had plenty of hot water.

We enjoyed our stay at the house. We only had some minor issues with the wrong code to enter and misc things, but the Vacasa Staff was quick to respond and help us out. We were extremely grateful for that. We never had issues with water. We read reviews and were worried, but no problems. The house provided us with beautiful views every day and allowed us to enjoy our stay as a family of 6 celebrating all our anniversaries together. We want to thank the family for lettings use their home as our home away from home in a place that will forever in our hearts. Maine we love you.

Spacious older home with spectacular views. The area is very quiet and relatively secluded. This is a quiet getaway near the less populated part of Acadia Park. The home was cute, homey, clean and comfortable. It had every amenity we needed for a nice place to stay near Acadia. We had no issues with the water and appreciated the "heads up" in the description. We spaced out showers, laundry, and dishwashing, so no problem. The view from the kitchen and den are accurate in the listing, absolutely BEAUTIFUL.

Myself and my family stayed at this property for a week. Had a few bumps when we first got there but the property manager was absolutely amazing. Responded immediately and got everything straightened out. The property is beautiful whether you are outside or looking out from inside. Was further than I thought from Acadia but we managed. No issues with the hot water and there were 6 of us. We had fun filled days and very peaceful relaxing evenings. Wonderful rental.

We loved the character and location of the home.

We loved the location & the place was perfect for us. We spent just four days and it went by way too quickly. We left wanting more time - we hope to be back bc again soon!

This house was exactly as described in the listing. Beautiful property! We enjoyed the area and it was easy to get to the local parks and businesses. The property provided linens, towels and kitchenware. We had no problem with the water pressure during our visit. The property managers were prompt in responding to our questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Our family stayed here for 4 nights. Absolutely beautiful, peaceful and quiet. It was the most relaxing part of our vacation. We listened to the waves, looked for shells and saw different birds. It was wonderful and all 7 of us enjoyed it. It was nice to come back and relax after hiking and sight seeing during the day. Thankful we found this spot!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Flower. The house is clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the water. We liked the proximity to Acadia (Schoodic) which we visited on multiple occasions. The listing did not indicate which portion of Acadia was 4 miles away which was somewhat misleading. We did travel the hour it takes to visit the Bar Harbor portion of Acadia/Cadillac Mountain. While it was worth the drive it was so crowded that we decided we preferred the quieter Schoodic park.
One area that could be improved upon: the garbage and recycling bins were full when we arrived. We would have brought them to the curb if we'd been made aware of pick up day but there was no Welcome/Important info note that some properties provide for guests.
That was a small drawback. All in all we would recommend the Blue Flower for a relaxing vacation spot.

My son and I signed up to run the YMCA MDI 10K and we were looking for a place to stay in the vicinity. Well, we totally lucked out in our choice with this property. As other reviews state it is about an hour from Bar Harbor, but ideally located for visiting Schoodic. The restaurants in nearby Winter Harbor were fantastic. The Seafood Platter at Chase’s was the best I’ve had since Capt Newicks. Some of the reviews were negative but if peace and quiet and a clean comfortable atmosphere with a priceless view make you happy then you will be in heaven here. As noted, if anyone has mobility issues, the main staircase may be a challenge, but my Aunt who is 78 and uses a cane was able to climb them easily enough. Comfortable beds and the sitting room is delightful. My wife really loved the place. Internet was exceptional, two of our family members had to work remote during our stay and had no problems. Password and name are on the Spectrum Router, not the one in the welcome email. Only confusion in the whole stay. Will visit again!

My daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights. Overall we absolutely loved our stay here. The cottage is beautiful in a peaceful quiet area. We thought the decor was pretty. We did not have any issues with water pressure like other reviews mention but it was just the 2 of us. Amazing spot to find sea glass, it was wonderful having a backyard right on the water and the views from every room were spectacular. I gave 4 stars, I would have given 5 but we did not find it to be clean, sheets, floors, stair railings and toilets were not clean. Unfortunately we didn’t take photos of these issues so the company that manages the house couldn’t refund any cleaning fees. Lesson learned, take pictures right away if you have an issue. With late checkouts available (which we took advantage of) they might have one person rushing to clean the house in 2 hours. We had an issue where we thought the oven wasn’t working but it turned out the display light is very dim, management were very quick to help us with that and were always responsive.

We had a great time at Bleu Flower house. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets.
Very clean house! We did have an issue with internet and tv(not working) but we had good communication with the manager to get it fixed.
The house does need a little love but overall we had a great weekend with our family!
4.5
Loved the great view and charming home but did not love the water pressure problems. The water ebbed and flowed like the tide. We spent too much money to bathe with a trickle of water. We would have stayed elsewhere if we knew how bad the water issue was.

This home is set on a beautiful cove. Peaceful, relaxing, low key, plenty of room to spread out. House has some quirks (stairs to loft), light water pressure, a bedroom door that’s not properly hinged, some missing screens…but overall a comfy house to kick back in. Had everything we needed. Good seaglassing on the shore at low tide. Dog-friendly was a big selling point. Our pup gave it 2 paws up!
4.5
Absolutely loved the beautiful setting and peaceful location! Didn’t even mind the one hour drive to Acadia NP, and the house itself is generally charming. But the narrow, steep stairways were a big concern and difficult for my older father (only way to sleep in a bed is to use stairs), and there was little to no water pressure throughout the house. For the summers, an A/C unit would be especially pleasant, since the upstairs of the house doesn’t cool down overnight.
4.5
Great stay enjoyed everything about it
4.5
A perfect spot in Prospect Harbor. Plenty of room to relax in. Clean and quiet. Beautiful views from the house. Easy drive to area sights. We loved our stay .
4.5
We loved the Cottage. Perfect location directly on the harbor. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Plenty of room to relax and spread out in.
We did, however, have issues with the horrendous water pressure, barley able to shower, shave or wash your face.
Really disappointed that a house in this price range didn't provide a better experience.
Other than that, we did enjoy our stay.
4.5
The setting of the property was absolutely stunning- gorgeous sunrise views. Easy access to the rocky shore to collect sea glass and shells. The interior was as expected. As mentioned in other reviews, one of the staircases is extremely steep with narrow steps, so the elderly, young children, or pets use caution. Faucet and shower water pressure and temperatures were the only issue we had- very, very light pressure and barely warm. That was disappointing, but our stay was only for two nights, so we could manage.
4.5
Nice property but no water pressure is a real downer and really needs new mattresses
4.5
The property and location are absolutely perfect. The site needs to be updated though. It says charcoal grills are not permitted on the property and they supply a gas grill but they actually supply a charcoal grill. They were putting in a new sub pump while we were staying there so there were tractors and dirt mounds in the yard and workers that showed up during “quiet hours” . Other than that the house is cool. They set you up with more than enough towels and toiletries. You can’t beat the view from the backyard. Seaglass hunting is great!
4.5
Our family of four enjoyed our stay at the Blue Flower. The location is about an hour drive from Acadia National Park and Schoodic Peninsula is very close and beautiful hiking! The sunrise and foggy mornings can be seen from many views of the home. There was plenty of room for all of us to retreat after a busy day of hiking. The beds were comfortable, plenty of towels in the bathroom. The outdoor patio would be perfect with a table and chairs. The kitchen is large with gorgeous views and would have been perfect with more dishes (bows, spoons) and better organized utensils, a deep clean of the kitchen drawers and pantry is needed but the house overall is very clean and organized. We fell in love with Maine and will be back.

I have used various vrbo rentals for years. This was by far the worse!
Upon arrival immediately noted construction with large machinery on property. Owners putting in a new septic system. Was not made aware of this at booking otherwise would have not rented here. Construction occurrred most days starting as early as 730.
Grass at be least 10-12 inches. Not an issue normally but because of the clover 100’s of bees.
No AC. Again not an issue as it’s Maine and the nights are cool. Except you need to open windows. Most screens either broken or missing. The mosquitoes and bugs in Maine are ferocious.
Worst part? We called every day with no response from the owner, property managers or “Vacasa”. We finally received a call home call on day of check out to ask if we would rent our home via their management group.
My expectations would be a refund but that’s if we even get a response!!

It was so beautiful and remote… the only issue was how early places closed and how far the main part of Acadia was from the house… otherwise it was great!!!

The home is beautiful, the location is beautiful but the home is not clean. I found a dead mouse in the dinning room.

This rustic cottage is in a perfect location in a quiet, relaxing area 50 mins from Bar Harbor and MDI. The yard is a great size, backing up to the harbor with a beautiful deck for enjoying sunrise coffee or evening cocktails.
We found the house very comfortable, but it may not be suitable for elderly individuals or families with toddlers due to the steep, narrow wooden stairs leading to the main bedrooms. The lay out of the property allows for spreading out but main living spaces are large enough to accommodate togetherness as well!
Updated linens and bedding wouldn’t hurt but the house was well equipped with games, books, outdoor toys, and local area information. Even though it is a more out-of-the-way location there were still plenty of good dining options nearby. Communicating with the management company was SO easy via text and I was grateful for timely reminders about garbage day, check-in and check out procedures as well as checking on the cleanliness of the house and our satisfaction when we arrived.
If you’re looking for a relaxing and unpretentious vacation away from the hustle and bustle, but still conveniently located nearby, this is the perfect spot.

If you are looking to check out Acadia, but want an alternative the the busy hustle and bustle of bar harbor, this is an excellent choice! Located about an hour north of Desert Island (an easy back roads drive) this cottage is located in a “real Maine” water front community. The house is cute, the views from every room were incredible, I could have spent the entire vacation lounging on the back deck watching the birds (we even saw an eagle), the tide come in and out and smelling the ocean. While there is one neighbor pretty close, but it was still very quiet and felt private. The local town offered a few fun restaurants which included the best lobster roll and oysters on the water that we’d ever had. There is a dog friendly Sandy beach less then 5 minutes away, and it’s only a 10 minute drive to the smaller Schroodic point area of Acadia- which was much less crowded and the views were amazing! The one issue we ran into was upon arrival the house had not been cleaned since the prior guests. I get that- I know how short staffed everyone is do yo Covid. I’m guessing they were no-shows. I reached out to the property manager. They were very responsive and fixed the problem right away- so that was great!!

Loved our stay. The house was very clean and nicely appointed. Easy drive to Winter Harbor and Schoodic Penisula. Beautiful setting on the harbor where we listened to the many birds, collected lots of sea glass and watched the tide go in and out. Only caveat is that there is no privacy from the house next door which is also a rental. There was a large, loud family in the adjacent house which hampered quiet evenings and detracted from the serenity of the location overall.
