Excellent location and clean. Although tricky- we were able to fit our 2 small SUV’s in the parking spot so that was great! We had the side patio downstairs which was wonderful to BBQ relax and was a great spot to lock our bikes up. Plenty of beach and regular towels for our stay and loved that fans were Available to use! Kids loved to use the boogie boards! Only complaint that popped up was there was large sewer roaches that came up under the kitchen sink the first 2 nights, the mgmt company did come out right away and set some traps but it may need exterminator. The only additional item would be the patio table, it’s very rusted and looked unsafe for the family to sit at and enjoy, we did not use the upstairs patio due to that- would recommend changing that out. Overall we had a great time!

The house was perfect for our needs. The location was excellent. Aaron was quick to respond as I had a few questions when we 1st arrived.

location was amazing house had plenty of beds! would 100% stay at this property again

We very much enjoyed our stay. The beds and bedrooms fit adults - this is always a challenge when evaluating “beds” on VRBO. Excellent sleeping options. The parking spot accommodated our Mazda CX9 with almost 2 feet clearance width-wise, and there was enough room to turn into the spot. So easy to drive to places. Also plenty to do within walking distance. Great place for families - very clean but not so pristine or delicate that you need to chase your kids around making sure they don’t leave a water mark. I loved sitting at the breakfast bar sipping coffee and watching the action on the beach. We saw many dolphins and seals. Check in/out very easy. This place is definitely top of the list when we return to Mission Beach.

Better than described in the listing. Pack n play available. Large closets in every room to fit babies and young kids. Generous pillows and blankets, beach toys, umbrellas, boogie boards included. Balcony was amazing and bigger than it looks in the picture. Parking was very tight but we could fit two vehicles in the space so it worked! Amazing vacation !!!

It was a perfect beach getaway. Thank you!

This house deserves a 9 out of 10. The location is perfect! The house is clean and has an incredible view. It's been recently updated in the kitchen is fully stocked. The only complaint I have is that the bed in the master bedroom really needs a new mattress. A less important suggestion would be to have blinds that can be raised up so you have an unobstructed view of the ocean. you can angle them but you can't lift them all the way up which was a bummer. The house will sleep 8 comfortably. Parking is super tight and will not fit an expedition type car. I loved sitting at the coffee bar and watching the waves in the morning. I highly recommend this house but would suggest checking to see if there is a new mattress in the master.

You couldn't ask for a better place to stay in San Diego for the location. We loved being on Mission Beach. It was a very relaxing place to stay.
The beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of space for the seven of us. The master bedroom is very large and both bathrooms (as have been mentioned before) were very nice. The hardwood floors could use some sanding and resurfacing but I can understand how hard it would be too keep a property in top shape this close to the ocean.
We fought sand and found ourselves sweeping up a lot. Had there been an outdoor shower like the neighbors had, we would have not been fighting the sand so much.
As was mentioned in a previous review the parking for the unit is very, very tight. We had difficulty navigating our Honda minivan into the space provided. The laundry was very convenient in the garage. The folks renting the downstairs unit only had one car so it was easy to get into the garage to do the laundry.
We would gladly stay in this location again. It's so close to a grocery store we found ourselves walking everywhere rather than trying to move the car more than necessary. On day we did move the car to go up the coast a bit and when we returned someone from another unit was blocking the drive and we had to go search for them to move their car so we could get back into our parking space.

We spent the week at the green house and we had a great time. 4 adults and 4 kids under 4 years old. We were looking for a place on the beach, walking distance to attractions and that is what we got! The house was clean, we had a good amount of space for the group, and although we found a few ants, (I assume they came in from outside since the doors were open all week) the host was responsive and ready to address it immediately. Our neighbors downstairs were super nice and we all got along nicely. I would recommend!

We loved our stay…..the sunsets are just beautiful. The home is lovely and we have nothing but great things say about our stay…. We picked a gem with this beach front home. Great communication with property management/owner. Although we were good and everything was great we did not have any issues that we needed to call. Checking in and out was very easy. We loved the Lime house ♥️

Catamaran Hotel within walking distance on Bayside. Excellent food and entertainment. Good bars, restaurants, people watching. Right on beach. Super convenient.
Perfect weather mid August. Mission Beach cool area. Young friendly people. Clean. Not crowded
4.7
The house was right on the beach as advertised and had large picture windows to watch the ocean. The rooms were good sized and the beds were comfortable. Be advised that the pictures show a barbeque on the deck that is no longer there. We had to share the barbeque on the lower deck with the people in that unit, which was a little uncomfortable but workable. Overall, it was a good unit and met all of our needs.
4.7
If you are looking for a space right on the beach this is perfect. Only big issue is parking.
4.7
A perfect location to enjoy the luxury of oceanfront to revel in surfers, dolphins, great restaurants, and any amenity you may want. The house was immaculately cleaned, updated and had everything we could possibly need and even much more than expected. We especially loved the two very large picture windows in the open living space to enjoy the view and listen to the waves! Also, simple access and communication for easy check in.
We highly recommend this rental !!!

The Lime house was the perfect Beach vacation. Aaron was super commutative and the check in process really easy. Everything was really modern and clean.
A few notes for larger families if you're like us and you have to plan for a family of five. The barbecue shown in the picture is not actually on the second story patio. If we wanted to barbecue, we had to go use the barbecue on the first unit's patio which was super awkward since people were renting it. Also, there's only four chairs up on the patio and where we're a family 5 and inside dining is limited, our plan for eating meals was outside. You're not able to move any of the chairs from the lower patio up since they're locked in place. All the beach gear is co-shared with the first floor unit. Unfortunately, we happened to be renting at the same time as people who would bring it all out to the beach and then just leave it on their patio during the day. So we didn't have access to the chairs or beach toys. It wasn't a huge issue for us as we just went and bought the kids some from a local vendor and sat up at our patio to watch them. But I can definitely see for families with little kids and need to be on the beach, it could be frustrating. Other than the lack of chairs on the upper floor and the communal assets, this day was amazing and I would recommend this property highly.

Great rental house with a fantastic view. So close to nearby restaurants. House had everything we needed, and check-in and out was easy!
4.7
Great location, great view, easy check in/out process and very responsive interaction with the property management team! This is exactly what is advertised - a perfect place to relax and getaway!
4.7
What a fantastic location on Mission Beach. From check-in to check-out the host was gracious and communicative. We enjoyed morning coffee watching the dolphins play in the surf and cocktails during a stunning sunset. We walked up and down the boardwalk, to shops and enjoyed local restaurants. It was the perfect getaway after a hectic holiday season. We even sat through an incredible display of the ocean's power in an incredible storm. A truly special trip!
4.7
We enjoyed our stay on the beach. Great to watch the ocean from the windows. We had a few minor issues but the landlord handled in a timely manner. Parking was a little tight. The pole could be removed to bring the car forward so that you could exit the vehicle.
4.7
The photos didn’t do the place justice. It was absolutely perfect. The view and hearing the waves from the master bedroom is everything one hopes for when located on oceanfront. Love that you can walk to coffee shops, small business restaurants and convenient/liquor store. Will definitely visit there again
4.7
Perfect setting for beach access and spectacular sunsets. Ocean Walk is busy so the second floor location is ideal for privacy. Property is a bit older, but is clean and fully functional. Good setup for a family with a King bed suite and two other bedroom for the kids.
4.7
We wanted to be right on the beach and this unit is exactly that, you can hear the waves crashing at night and have a great view from the balcony. The balcony is small, but there's extra deck space on the main level as well right on the boardwalk. Unit has pretty much everything you need, good space for two families, we enjoyed our trip. Aaron the prop manager was very responsive to all our questions and issues that arose.
I wish the property had cushions on the deck chairs/furniture on the side of property, the wood chairs are not real comfy without cushions; its an incredible view there, but we didn't really end up using it at all.
If you're looking to be right at the beach, you'll be happy here. We would go back.

I didn't think late sept in San Diego heat would be an issue, but with no AC this condo is miserably uncomfortable even when the outside highs were low 80s. The only way to get some relief is closing all the blinds and leaving the front door and balcony door wide open. This leads to a couple of problems, 1 you spent a ton of money for a view which you can't enjoy because you need the blinds closed, 2) there is no screen door on the front door so you let tons of bugs in and if you have small children which I do no way to keep them inside with the door open.
The balcony has a great view, but with zero shade it gets too much glare to enjoy most of the day. For the amount of money they are charging it would be so easy to add an umbrella or any type of shade options.
The heat was our biggest problem but there were also a lot of bugs, ants mostly in this condo. Also small things, the sliding doors and blinds are on their last legs, the walls are cracked. Normally these things wouldn't bother me except for how much they are charging. If you charge top dollar you should deliver a top dollar experience this is def not it. Will def choose a hotel next time.

This was a great location for people and ocean watching. The sunsets were spectacular and it was mostly quiet
after the 10 pm hour. Aaron and his team were very responsive. I would stay here again.

Owners were great in accommodating me from the start and throughout. Views were awesome same with location. Inside the house could have been better. Very dirty. Toaster, Fridge, broom were awful. No reason for that the money they are getting from the place. The grill was tiny and couldn’t do much grilling and no grill brush to clean after using it. Again, these items cost very little but are important. Overall happy with our time there.

Stayed at this house during the week (M-F) with my kids (ages 7 and 9) and family. The location can't be beat! I was worried about the noise from the boardwalk/path in front of the house because I'm a light sleeper, but it was a total non-issue. The house isn't the most luxurious, but being able to walk right onto the beach and watch my kids from the window made up for it. The parking spot is super tight, but we could walk to everything so it wasn't a big deal.

Great location
Great location on the beach and beach walk and by 10pm all you can hear is the crashing of the waves even over a holiday weekend. Close to fun " divey" bars and restaurants.
The property itself is a little divey its self but it's clean enough and the landlord was super responsive when one of the showers darin was backed up. What you're paying for is beach access and viewsif you're expect luxury it might miss the mark.

Great location, beautiful sunsets, on the beach!
Family vacation with our adult kids...everyone loved this spot.! Great location, loved being on the 2nd floor for privacy, people watching, sunsets from the deck and listening to ocean waves at night! Can't think of anything else we needed....Had the best time. (Always easy to spot our lime green condo among all the other look alikes!!) Will be back!!

Highly recommend this spot on Mission Beach. The "lime house" has everything you need and is a great landmark on the beach! It was easy to communicate with Aaron and we had a great stay. Will definitely stay again.

The location was amazing! Everything in the VRBO description was on point! I loved everything about the property. It had all the basic amenities you needed from pans, silverware and dishes. Parking was extremely tight but we made it work. The location felt very safe and the neighbors were very respectful.
The only disappointment was the response for additional items. Property manager made it very clear to contact for anything anytime. First I decided to text the phone number in book at location and got no response. So I forwarded my original text to property manager and asked if he could help. I was having a hard time with grill and all we needed was a dish rag, additional face towels (had a party of 6, with 4 face towels) and surface cleaning spray. He responded by letting me know I needed to start the gas grill by lighting each side with lighter, LOL! Then told me he had a broken ankle and was out of commission but ask the maids for the towels. I asked how to get a hold of maids and had gotten no response. We decided to just go buy the additional items.

Last Getaway
It was a wonderful final getaway before heading back to school. The location is fantastic for this funky little beach house. It's relaxed feel inside and out made it the perfect fit for our family.

Everything that is in the description of the unit in the listing is accurate. The unit is dated and needs some serious attention to maintenance, inside and out. We were in the upstairs unit and had to do some up front cleaning of counters, tables, chairs.
Patio chairs are locked to prevent theft which makes them almost useless. The tandem garage worked out for two vehicles and the owner was kind enough to offer a 3rd space nearby which we used for 4 days. Sliding door needs cleaning; lots of dirt in the track; downstairs BBQ in poor condition, needs cleaning; only 1/2 the toaster worked. Balcony was great over the boardwalk, just a little too narrow to be used for dining upstairs; Friendly guest downstairs and all around the ajoining properties; definitely need to make friends to coordinate vehicle traffic. Sound of the ocean at night puts everyone to sleep, ready to start a new day!
