Cute little house with all of the necessary amenities. We love the Sudden Valley area—beautiful scenery, quiet neighborhoods, easy access to the lake, hiking trails, pickle ball court, and a small market. We really appreciated the desk and dual monitors for work. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was comfortable and provided all the necessities needed. Lake Whatcom a few minutes away. Lookout Mountain hiking and biking trails excellent. The neighborhood was safe and quiet and all flowers in full bloom. A lovely time of year to visit.

Nice stay but yard was a mess and the couch was very uncomfortable

Had a great stay at the Sugarpine Retreat. Good location to see many things in NW Washington. The clean, charming and cozy atmosphere was something to look forward to after a long day of adventuring. It was even a good spot to spend the evening in when the weather wasn't cooperating.

It was as described, and worth the price point. You can tell they are continiously upgrading and updating the house. Each room has its own heater, with T stat, and schedule programing. The only gripes I have are small. 1, there were no Klenix, and two; only a few laudry pods: and a rule that you cant use non-provided ones. One of the reasons I choose this place was to do laundry, as I was in town for a week. Taking a remote medicine class, and knew it would be needed. There is a tile in the bathroom that sticks up more than the rest. However, I would book again.

Very friendly neighborhood. Warm and beautiful house. Not far to Bellingham and close to many parks for hiking and dog walking.

Great little home, area is friendliest I've seen this side of Canada. Pretty spot, good internet for remote work, cozy.

The house is lovely and had very comfortable beds and furniture. The wood stove is a very cozy touch as well. (just remember to get that firewood before you arrive and settle in!) Good modern amenities and the location outside of Bellingham ensures a nice quiet place to relax.
The neighbors seemed fine although one man stayed out on his porch to watch us unpack and take the dog out for at least an hour which made the big curtains over the door a major benefit as it was slightly creepy.
The only downside is that the housekeeping staff was waiting outside the house before checkout so we ended up being sort of unintentionally rushed out of the place which at 9:45 am after a whole day of driving prior while trying to do dishes and laundry and get everything else taken care of for checkout was a bit stressful. Other than that it can’t be beat for a nice wooded rest stop

We arrived after the check-in time and it wasn't ready. The woman was very friendly and mentioned she was new, so I want to give some grace. But the place wasn't clean, reeked of fish, there was no laundry detergent (despite documents requesting we use only the soap provided due to the need for sceptic-friendly), pots and pans needed to be washed before we used them, and the furniture was extremely limited and uncomfortable.

Small, tiddy, and adequate.

Great secluded house for a fun weekend in the greater Bellingham area. House had everything we needed and was very cozy. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Open floor plan with lots of space. Rooms are simple and clean. I appreciate that there isn’t lots of extra stuff in the house such as displays with glass as I’ve seen in other properties. Gave it more space and I didn’t have to worry about things getting broken. Heaters in each bedroom allowed us to control heat to our liking. Had a little issue with hot water in shower but others in party did not experience the same thing. Lots of linens available!

Great location outside of the heart of the city. Home was well equipped and clean overall. However there is an odor throughout the home, that lasted the duration of the weekend. Some of the towels and extra blankets had the same odd odor. There was also only one roll of toilet paper to be found. Beds were very comfortable!!

Sugarpine retreat is in nice neighborhood with lot of trees. It can use new sets of towels since the towels smells musty from being too old. It has main ductless dual AC and heat in living room. Both bedrooms can be hot during summer. The cold air is in living room. It does not cool down the bedrooms. The refrigerator is loud so we could not leave the door open for cool air in. One perk of location that we can launch our boat near by private launch.

We had a great time, the house is minimal but perfect. We were able to check in a little early which helped us. I did reach out about the coffee machine but didn't get a response. The location was great for us but a little remote if you didn't prepare for a snowy storm that came through. Great trails around the house and super cute neighborhood. Would come back in the summer time.

Very close to lookout mountain trails and can access all of Galbraith mountain bike trails with a climb. King bed was appreciated. Dog friendly was lovely. Garage is nice for storing bikes. Clean and easy access. Great place and would come again.

This was nicer than expected from the photos. Everything has recently been done, new carpet, beautiful remodeled bathroom, quality cookware in the kitchen, and thoughtful touches.

This is a lovely place in quaint neighborhood. Very serene peaceful. Wake up to the birds chirping. You won’t miss to see deer grazing in your lawn or crossing the road every time you get out. Tastefully decorated home with sufficient kitchenware

Sweet spot. Sudden Valley is beautiful, quiet, friendly, walkable and this property is centered in a forest with ferns and a variety of tree species. The community garden was a delight. We walked through different parts of the community each day. Everyone was friendly.

Good spot for Bellingham stay
House was clean and nicer than than the pictures. Area is beautiful and close to Bellingham, as well as several lakes.
We did have a problem with the water heater, but the manager responded quickly and took care of it right away.
