About this house rental
Visit the “Gateway to the West” and stay in our newly built Little Blue House in Kirkwood (a suburb of St. Louis). Very bright and open, this charming, one story home will be perfect for anyone from busy kiddos to LOLs (little old ladies) who can't run up and down stairs anymore! Accomodations include 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, as well as a pull out sofa with a queen size bed. We have recently added a pack n play for our youngest guests. We have plenty of parking right next to the entrance. This darling house comes with keyless check-in, a fully equipped kitchen, stacked washer/dryer, on demand water heater, and high speed wifi. Smart TVs in each bedroom and the living room as well. Remote control zoned heating/cooling ensures everyone stays comfy no matter what the weather brings. Even the bamboo floors are heated for those cold winter mornings! Situated off the interstate, this cozy house is a short drive to several restaurants, shopping, downtown, the Arch, Ball-Park Village, and a host of other attractions that St. Louis has to offer. The Magic House, a delightful Children's Museum, is less than five minutes away.

House is great. Comparing to other VRBO pics, this house has more that makes it seem like a home. Very easy to make reservations, host is easily reached and entry is very secure. I’ve already booked my next stay!

The Little Blue House in Kirkwood was everything we needed it to be for a 2-nite weekend stay in the STL area. Our purpose of the weekend retreat was to take in a 'Wine Walk' in the Italian Hill area of St. louis on Saturday. Our house was a short 20 minute drive there and we had numerous dining opportunities both on the Hill and in Kirkwood MO for our dining experience.

This was our second stay at the Little Blue Cottage. It was just as welcoming and comfortable as we remembered it. Lots of little extra touches that make it feel like home. This will be our “go to” place when we come to St. Louis!

We traveled with our three kids (8, 7 & 4) and stayed in the cottage. The house was very clean, organized, and well-stocked. We found the home to be located near a lot of the attractions we were interested in. It was a welcoming stay with homemade jam and packaged snacks upon our arrival! The kids enjoyed playing with games and Legos that were available for our use. Mimi was very easy to communicate with and responsive with any questions. Overall a great stay and would definitely return!

We had the best time at this happy, bright cottage. Truly, everything was perfect. The owners are lovely and clearly put a lot of love and care into this space. Our group ranged from a 2.5 year old to a 70 year old and we all had a great and comfortable stay. The kitchen was very well-appointed and we had everything we needed to make breakfast each day before setting out for the day. The washer and dryer in unit was also a blessing given how quickly our kids got their clothes messy. Thank you for the snacks and the homemade jam. What a wonderful treat. We will be back soon!

This house was so beautifully decorated and cozy. It had everything we needed such as nice towels, toiletries, dishes for cooking and eating, and even throw blankets for cuddling.

Our hosts were so thoughtful! This aesthetically pleasing home had everything we needed conveniently located. We were able to use the pristine kitchen to make desserts for our family in the area. Access into the house with a wheelchair was very easy, no steps. A shower chair was provided (small step over into the shower). The design is very clever being able to work in the kitchen while visiting with those in the living room. The location has many activities within 10-20 minutes like Powder Valley Nature area (8 minutes). We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood. The bed was luxuriously comfortable. This is a very bright, cheerful and very clean place to stay. We are definitely hoping it will be available the next time we visit.

Our stay was fantastic! The home is lovely and well appointed. The beds are quite comfortable. The pull out sofa would not likely be comfortable for an adult, but the kids did not seem to have any issue sleeping there. The neighborhood was quiet and is conveniently located to shopping center and restaurants. We have been spoiled and never want to stay in a hotel again! Highly recommended!

This house is a very nice place, and has all the little things to make it feel like a home (confortable bed and pillows, nice decorations, good TVs and Wifi, even snacks!). Mimi the host is very responsive, too.

Had a fantastic stay for the long weekend. Kids really enjoyed the complimentary snacks, tent, and pillows that looked like dino nuggets. AC worked well, we keep it cold at night, so we slept like angels. Lots of great things to do nearby with the kids. House was perfect for our family. We will return next year!

Booked this property to accommodate myself and a friend after a surgical procedure that required post op visits. The location was perfect for getting to surgical facility. We felt safe and it was a short drive to restaurants and any necessary shopping plus lots of farmers market and outdoor activities around in weekends. Owner was incredibly responsive! We had everything we needed but just a few questions about the area and all questions were answered quickly. Would definitely recommend!

This is our first time renting a Vrbo. We were visiting our son and his family in St Louis and need a place to stay and use as our home base. This place was perfect. Homey, nicely furnished, all the need amenities. Even a jar of homemade jelly on the counter for us. Mimi or host was great and stayed in contact with us through our stay to make sure we had what we needed. We will definitely stay here again!
