About this house rental
Beautiful house in the heart of the town. Newly remodeled, 2 blocks from the Mississippi river , camp fire site, spacious yard, charcoal grill or gas grill, large gatherings are welcomed. awesome for fishing trip. perfect get away for the adventerous // lovely fishing areas

We had a great stay. This wasn’t our first stay and won’t be our last. The house is comfy and we love cooking out on the patio. They have games to pass the time for kids, a campfire ring in the yard and a relaxing hot tub. Thanks for another fun weekend. See you soon.

The stay was great; we decided to go up a day earlier and they were very accommodating. The train in the back yard was alarming the first night. Very good restaurants around the house.

The house was great. Yard was very pretty and decorated. We didn't use the hot tub but it liked very inviting. Overall a cute place with plenty of space. The only downfall was the train tracks in the back yard and the number of trains that go thru but after the first day you get used to it so it's not that bad. We enjoyed are stay and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

From check-in to check-out, Jeff and Julie's was fabulous!!!!! So many kind details. Clean comfortable house that was relaxing with lots od space. Their home is within waking distance of the downtown River Walk area with great shops and restaurants. Guttenberg is also a great location to stay and explore other areas like Dyersville, McGregor, Davenport and Prarie du Chien.
We loved the hot tub. It was in a nice location. The multiple rooms gave us all lots of space. The kitchen was great to make Christmas eve breakfast in. Jeff and Julie were very responsive and helpful. We will definitely recommend to others and stay here again some day. Thanks so much!

Roomy & clean accommodations. Big bathrooms, several TVs, large hot tub w/privacy curtains. Perfect room temps, plus fans in each room. Great location from town only a couple of blocks. Can only think of 2 improvements- outside light in upstairs bedroom. I like my room totally dark when sleeping and blinds still let street light in. And master bed mattress- family rolled to the center when trying to sleep.

The property was very neat and clean. The hosts were fantastic! This 4 bedroom had plenty of charm and character. The one thing to be aware of is it is close to railroad tracks and the trains run throughout the night. The hot tub was a gem of a find. The house is close to shopping, food and the great Mississippi. My group and I would stay here again.

Jeff and Juli were absolutely fantastic. Their property was absolutely perfect for our family reunion vacation. They show a lot of attention to detail in order to make sure that we had a comfortable and carefree stay. We invited a few family members back to enjoy our backyard oasis after our reunion. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the hot tub, patio, and a hot fire to cook s’mores over. My sons enjoyed cooking us a nice big breakfast on the Blackstone grill. What a bonus!!
We would highly recommend this stay to all of our friends.

It was a nice place to unwind after a long workday. The owners were great and very quick to respond and helpful when we had questions. I will definitely stay again if the need arises.

What a great place to gather with our small group of high school (class of 1980!) friends for a centrally located getaway! We loved the gathering spaces in the back yard and the fire pit and hot tub! Outdoor cooking was great as well and a very functional kitchen. We are already planning our next annual gathering and will likely return here.

Surprisingly, this rental was now where near what we expected, especially given the price. Pictures were taken carefully to downplay how close neighboring buildings actually are, thus the reason all of the blinds were closed and the curtains were around the hot tub. You could almost touch the neighbors from the hot tub they’re that close.The decorations were ok, but the house is old and less than clean, not really sure what parts were remodeled. We avoided the showers as they were not clean and the toilets weren’t as well. We avoided the grill and had to buy a new coffee pot as the one there was disgusting even after we tried cleaning it. It is a working neighborhood and not a quiet cabin, although the trains weren’t bad. Disappointingly, the various fees totaled nearly 60% of the nightly rent. They sure make money off of the “cleaning” fee. A quick place to spend the night, but we won’t be back.

I had a wonderful time at the R-Lodge. It's a cozy base camp for touring the area, with room for larger groups. The house is well soundproofed against the trains that pass daily. The hot tub in the back is excellent.

For our short stay, this property suited as a base camp for exploring the area. The owners were respectful and thoughtful. The hottub was just what we needed after hours of hiking. I think this place would be ideal for a larger group, but it was fine for us as well.

Me and my friends from college always arrange a short trip during the holidays and we enjoy Guttenberg. We met Julie when we arrived and she showed us around and left oranges, water, and Gatorade in the fridge (such a nice detail!). The house was warm but could have cozier decor and blankets. The living room space was large and a great space to hang out. We were steps away from stores and restaurants which was a plus. Overall, we had a nice time.

Our group of 5 had a wonderful time at this cute cabin! We visited the town for a weekend getaway and really enjoyed the cabin and it's surroundings. The hot tub was a big hit with our group and helped us have a relaxing trip! The hosts are really nice and great with communication. Definitely recommend this cabin!

First guests at a new listing. Great river town in NE Iowa, home is close to amenities and riverfront. Hot tub off the back deck was ideal, great space to spread out, hosts are very welcoming and quick to respond to questions and needs. We enjoyed our stay and a much needed few days away!
