'Reggie's Retreat' is a hidden gem of a house, less than a mile (.8 miles) from Lake Vermillion and just a few blocks (a 6 minute walk) from Tower's Main Street. This nicely decorated 2-story home boasts a private yard with a firepit, a back deck with outdoor seating and is located just steps away from all that Northern Minnesota and Lake Vermilion have to offer.
With 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths and 2 separate living rooms, there is plenty of space for you and the whole crew - including the dogs! All bedrooms were designed with comfort and relaxation in mind, and each include a Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. You will find gorgeous, handcrafted furniture throughout – made from Minnesota’s very own Northern Pines. We even had a log dog bed made for any pup “extra” enough to claim it during their stay!
The kitchen includes all the cooking necessities, and we keep the coffee bar stocked. Grill up a homemade meal to enjoy on the deck after a full day of fun in the sun (or snow)! We have Netflix and Amazon Prime, plus a huge collection of board games for those days you’d rather stay in. There is plenty of parking for your winter and water toys and a heated 2-car garage, perfect for those Northern Minnesota winters.
Dogs are eternally welcome at Reggie’s Retreat, and we do not discriminate based on breed or size. We ask that dogs are not left in the yard unattended (note – the yard is not fenced-in) and that they are crated if left in the house without a human attendant. Dogs must also be housebroken and current on all vaccinations. We have food/water bowls, dog beds and plenty of blankets and towels just for our K9 guests to use.
The Town of Tower is on the smaller side, but you’ll be within walking distance to a couple of bar n’ grills, an espresso café, ice-cream shop and Zup’s grocery store for all the essentials. Fortune Bay Casino and The Wilderness at Fortune Bay, the famous, 5-star golf course, are just a 12-minute drive away. Easy access to the nearby towns of Ely and Cook with additional shops and restaurants. Endless outdoor activities also in close proximity, including fishing, boating, hiking, and snowmobiling, just to name a few!

We loved the privacy on the deck and the location was great. We were only a short, couple of minutes, drive away from the boat landing. We had a dog and a 3 year old along with 6 adults. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed, including some games. It was pretty warm during our trip (upper 80s) so not having AC wasn't ideal but we didn't go up there to sit in the cabin all day. Plus there were box fans provided for every room. We just set those up in the open windows and it was comfortable to sleep at night. I hughly recommend visiting the Vince Schutte Bear Sanctuary if you're looking for something to do outdoors during your stay. Instructions from the host were accurate and clear so we had no issues arriving and checking in. Very clean and well kept cabin.

Overall nice property. It fit our group of 8 perfectly. Very Clean & nice attention to detail. Would definitely stay there again! The weather was very hot during our stay & we could have used a window AC unit on main level. A luxury not a necessity. Definitely enjoyed are stay!

Great place for a large family with dogs. Very pet friendly. Just a 1/2 hour from Ely, and 1/2 hour from Virginia. and very close to Lake Vermilion. Really appreciated the Master Bedroom with separate bathroom.
Would suggest moving the combination lock to the garage walk in door.

Property was as advertised. First class accommodations. Fully stocked, modern kitchen, plenty of room for us and our friends. Property was very clean with plenty of parking for 4 trucks with 4 bass boats. Looking forward to our next trip to Tower.

Nice to have a deck to use, inside the house is nice and well appointed. Outside of the master bedroom, the other bedrooms are small, so only plan to use them for sleeping. The owner is very easy to communicate with.

We were in the area for my daughter's graduation, and since she lives in Tower, thought this property would be a good option for my extended family of 6 to stay since it was within walking distance of my daughter's apartment. It exceeded all expectations! Alicia is a fantastic host and is extremely prompt in her communication, the house is beautiful, clean, well appointed, and in a lovely neighborhood. Wonderful all the way around!

Water wasn't Hot, just a little more than warm. Refrigerator - freezer side door holders still fly off and everything hits the floor. Brought it up last year, nothing was fixed. Washer and dryer look identical, would be nice if they were labeled. And the tree on the right side of the driveway should be cut and removed. It cost me $2,000 for a new mirror. TV's should at least have local channels.

Nice, well-managed property in the Iron Range just south of Lake Vermillion. Not too far from Ely or Quad Cities.

We rented as a place to snowmobile from. There is plenty of space for parking with trailers and trucks. The location has very easy access to the trails. The house is clean and spacious. The owner gave excellent instruction and made it easy to find. We will definitely be coming back next year.

My family and I stayed here in order to go skiing at Giants Ridge.
The house was roomy and clean, accommodating all our family's needs.
The check-in and check-out process was simple and straight forward. We have stayed at other rental properties where the check-out process was laborious and involved, making one wonder why you pay cleaning fees. Not in this case, reasonable, simple and straight forward.
We would stay here again.

We wanted to find an area where we had a shot of seeing the northern lights & a moose. It was plenty dark out at night unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate with us for seeing the stars at night. However, we found many trails to hike on and saw a lot of wild life. The dogs enjoyed their stay also.
As for the rental it was prefect for our family. We each got our own room. Plenty of space to relax. The house was completely equipment with everything needed for a relaxing vacation.
Our only issue - if you call it that was the outdoor fire pit was a little small.

This was perfect for our family Christmas weekend. We had 12 total between adults, school age kids, and toddlers. We had plenty of room to hang out, play games, watch movies. Nice area for adults to hang out and the kids had space of their own as well.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. There were 4 adults, 3 teens, and our German Shorthair & Petite Goldendoodle pups - and there was ample room for each of us. Everyone was able to have their own bed which was great - I will say the bunk beds in the one room make for low clearance from the top bunk to the ceiling but it is still doable! It was great to have two kings, so that each couple could have their own king bed. We spent most of our time outdoors and lucked out with the weather being pretty nice for late October... we hiked Lake Vermilion Soudan Mine State Park, Bear Head Lake State Park, and the Kawishiwi Falls trail. The dogs LOVED all the hiking we did :) We also visited both the North American Bear Center & International Wolf Center in Ely. There is a nice deck and grill out back on the property but we didn't have a chance to use it as we were gone so much, but I can imagine that would be lovely especially in the summer! Kitchen is very well stocked, we made breakfast each morning and made lunches to take with us on our hikes, as well as tacos one night and soup the other night and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to prep/make everything we did. Great to have the dog bowls too! We wrapped up our last night enjoying the BAMBOOZLER 24" pizza at the Vermilion Club, but you can't go wrong with pretty much anything on their menu! Overall a great place to stay while exploring the area - it's a huge bonus that you can bring your furry family members too! 🐾❤️🐾

We had a great stay here. Plenty of room to park our trailers. Great having a bathroom for each couple (3). Home is comfortable and very easy access to the ATV trails. Alicia is very accomodating, comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood, beautiful view from private deck. Garage parking is very nice as we did encounter rain. Loved the coffee bar!!! Would recommend.

Eighteen of our cycling group made the trip to Ely for the organized ride sponsored by Friends of the Mesabi. We loved that we could store our bikes in the garage, were close to town, had enough parking spaces for our cars, and were close to the Tower trail and had enough kitchen seating for 10.

We stayed here for a family girls weekend. The beds were super comfortable! It was really nice if there was an en suite for a couple of older members of our group. There’s a lot of room to spread out, dine, play games, etc. Very convenient location in Tower, close to Ely, and lots of visitor attractions in the area. We would stay again!

We had a great time connecting with siblings and three cousins who live in the area. We were happy to learn that there was an airbnb in Tower. We have fond memories of visiting our aunt, uncle, and cousins when we were children way back when. Your place was perfect for having four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a table large enough for all of us. The beds were comfy. The lighting was good. There were plenty of plates, silverware, etc. Thank you for providing a great place to stay!

What an amazing spot to explore the north woods. We go up north every year but usually can't bring our dogs. Finding a dog friendly spot really made this year's trip top notch!

This was the perfect place to land after a 5 day boundary waters trip!! 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths were a delight. It has a great outside deck to lounge on under the trees while grilling supper. The beds were extremely comfortable and all showers had great water pressure. The kitchen was wonderful with all the possible tools you would need to grill and cook. The furniture made for comfy hanging out and playing games, doing your nails in readiness for those going to the Taylor Swift concert. The owner was extremely quick in responding to any questions or comments. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

Rented this property so we could easily access the Mesabi trail for biking. Fished on Lake Vermillion with little success so no fish fry. Kitchen well equip with cooking and baking utensils and pans so able to cook a variety of meals. Plenty of space for group of 7 adults to sit and enjoy meals together.

We were able to enjoy a birthday party with 18 adults.

Great property for access to Vermillion and Ely area, finding anything in Ely was beyond tough, this was an easy 25 min ride

1. Show the steps on the website
2. A second freezer in the garage would be helpful, for longer stays.
3. Cheat sheet for stove, washer and dryer, ceiling fan, and dishwasher instructions
4. The refrigerator needs to be leveled, the shelves on the inside doors keep falling off.
5. Mention the speed bump in the check-in email.

The house was amazing for a nice get together , with close access to hiking in Voyageur National Park as well as Boundary Waters!

Perfect, we needed somewhere with King size bed options, a kitchen and washer dryer for our visit with family in Tower. This home was much more than I needed but was so convenient to main street and family I just went with it. Seeing deer in the yard the first night and then getting a glimpse of a bear from back deck while just checking everything out was a treat. Super clean and had plenty of coffee and kitchen items and even box fans which was great. Thanks to Alicia for her quick responses to any questions.

What a beautiful and comfortable home for a winter getaway! A perfect location for short trips to nearby attractions in beautiful Northern Minnesota. Large comfortable beds and flatscreen televisions in every room. A perfect spot for a family getaway or reunion. Kitchen is stocked with all the necessities for preparing meals, or you could chose a short drive to local eateries. We would not hesitate to stay again!

This is a large, beautiful house in a quiet neighborhood. Very dog friendly. Our family and dogs loved it! Very spacious. Tons of parking outside plus the garage. The coffee bar was a big hit. Lots of games to play downstairs if you don't feel like going out. Dozens of deer across the road and in the woods next to the house. Reserve this house for your next north woods adventure!

The house was very clean, well-supplied (kitchen, linens, towels...) and the communication with Alicia was great. Loved the heated garage for our snowmobiles and the wide variety of coffee pods for the mornings!
