About this cabin rental
640 ft.² of cozy serenity! This is my private home, but I will be traveling for a few months, and want to offer it to you. 55” TV with Internet, one bedroom with loft and a queen size futon, full size log futon in the living room. So we can truly accommodate three couples. All new appliances, including stove with an air fryer function. Beautiful front deck overlooking Kachemak bay and the mountains. Fire pit, plenty of parking. This is a full cabin, not a cottage on someone else’s property or attached apartment. You have the full run of the place. I’ve seen moose, bears, ptarmigan, pheasants, snowshoe hare, eagles, and many other types of wildlife from my deck. This is the only residential home being rented on the street. The sunsets are absolutely amazing, bring your cameras because the most important part of enjoying this property is being on the deck grilling and having a cold beverage.
One medium to small dog is welcome, but will remain in a kennel if left behind and at night. Please no animals on the furniture.

This place had amazing views that was on the quiet outskirts of town. Check in and out was easy and seamless. I will be booking here again if I make it back!

Very cute cabin with a very nice main floor kitchen and bathroom. It met all of our needs, and had a fabulous view of Kachemak Bay. It was a bit further from Homer than we thought, but we ended up staying the day in Homer so just limited back and forth time to beginning and end of day. Also found some great reservoir fishing spots for trout/Dolly Varden - my 12 year old son was ecstatic! Future renters should make sure they know floors are at a slant (it definitely triggered my vertigo the first day), and the upstairs bed in the loft has a very saggy mattress. My 12 year old daughter had no problem with it, but I think it is not suitable for anyone but kids. The other beds were fine. Had a bit of trouble getting in - but when I called the owner he responded right away (from China) and by then I had figured out that I needed to pull the door toward me for the code lock to work. Might help future renters to know that so they don't panic about getting in the house! Last suggestion for the owner would be to upgrade to some deck furniture (there were a couple camp chairs) as it was such a beautiful view that we would have loved to spend all our time on the deck but it needed better/more deck seating for us to really take advantage of it.
Overall a great stay - thank you!

This place was a thrill to stay at and one of the best places to go when looking for moose, we weren’t expecting them to come so close but we actually got to see a moose and her babies just outside the house by about 8-10 feet. The place itself was amazing and very modern while also having a great theme and relatively close to town

Exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, comfortable, full amenities, and a fantastic view. There were moose in the yard almost every evening. Convenient to the Homer spit for fishing excursions. Highly recommend!

Great site. Found the furniture, esp the beds very uncomfortable....especially the secondary bed upstairs, should be replaced. Had trouble working the lock, could have had better instructions as we had no experience with this type lock. Hard to get the shower situated so it didn't leak. Enjoyed the quiet and the stunning views.

This cabin really feels homey, and has a deck that faces Kachemak Bay with a GREAT view. The neighborhood is nice, friendly neighbors with a friendly dog! Master bed is comfortable. (Need curtains in small windows in Master bedroom for the long summer light.) Also used the washer and dryer, which was very helpful. Well equipped kitchen. We felt very comfortable here and used it easily as a base to explore the Homer area. Although we only stayed 2 nights, we would have loved to stay longer.
Owner is very responsive. We had a minor problem with the gas grill and it was remedied immediately.
Would definitely recommend and would definitely seek to rebook should we return to the Homer area.
Thank you!

Comfortable, cozy cabin that meets all your basic needs plus a little more. Constantly changing view as weather moves along the bay with TV & Internet if the view isn’t enough. Kitchen could use a few more tools if you like to cook even a little beyond basic.

Great view, okay cabin
This cabin had an amazing view of the water and mountains. Great deck to sit and relax. The cabin itself was okay, has mostly what you need except it does not have curtains on most of the windows which is a problem in the summer in Alaska if you need it to be dark to sleep! Cabin can accommodate six people sleeping wise but otherwise is too small. Only 4 places at a table and only one couch/futon to sit on. Great for 2 or 4 people. The loft bed was an old futon that had turned into a bowl… It would be nice for the host to upgrade some of the bedding and towels, they seemed old and worn out. We had a nice stay overall
