About this house rental

Step into simple sophistication in our beautiful home built for entertaining with a stunning pool and lake views. Our home features an open kitchen, dining and living space with panoramic pool and lake views. The spacious master bedroom has a king bed, seating area with lake and pool views. It also has fabulous master bathroom with a soaking tub, walk-in rain shower and his and hers sinks with large closet space with a crib. The second bedroom has a king bed with a twin and full built in bunk with its own bathroom. The third bedroom has a queen bed. The last bedroom features another master bedroom with king bed and ensuite bathroom. The loft area provides extra space to lounge, watch TV, and play games. Also here you will find an extra full bathroom.

Outdoors is like your own private resort offering something for everyone from kayaking (1 tandem kayak and 2 paddle boards provided), swimming, lounging around at the pool, relaxing in the pool and enjoy the covered patio area with plenty of seating for everyone in your party. The lake and awesome beach area are perfect for swimming, sun bathing and water activities. Take a stroll on the paddle boards and double kayak to explore the beautiful Lake Oconee. Our home is also located within a quick drive to shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Your much deserved getaway in our fabulous home is waiting for you to create your own forever memories.

Fantastic stay- home just as or better than pictured. We loved the porch, lake time on the dock, floating in the beautiful pool, and gorgeous kitchen stocked with everything we needed and more. Easy easy access to great meals out and the publix. Hope we get to come back soon!

The location and property are ideal. Lots to do to keep grandkids happy. Boating, the rock jumping spot and rope swing, tubing, knee boarding, wakeboarding and kayaking. If you don’t own a boat consider renting one. The pool and lawn are lucious and the house is decorated beautifully. The best by far VRBO house we have ever rented.

Everything was great, the home is beautiful the pictures truly don't do it justice. It is well stocked with great kitchen ware and the layout is great. Beautiful lake view from all the living area and primary bedroom

The house was beautiful and easily accommodated our group of four with private bedrooms and bathrooms and enough space for us to spread out when we wanted to. Post was very accommodating and quick to reply. Definitely recommend this property!

Beautiful property and house is just as described. Lots of space and seating for large families. Outdoor space and amenities can’t be beat. Awesome pool, paddle boards and kayak available to keep you entertained. No need to leave once you’ve checked in. Hosts were responsive with the few questions we had. Will be back!!

Online photos were spot on with this home! Beautifully decorated, well stocked with the basics, and not far from stores, restaurants, and boat ramps. Plenty of parking (we had 2 large trucks, boat trailer, and Small suv) and the layout of the home was perfect! We enjoyed the porch, pool, paddle boards, grill, and the dock held our 22 foot SeaPro with no worries. Debbie was quick to respond to questions and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely rent this home again!

Knot your average Lake House was a perfect place for a multi generation Week on the water. We stay in 3 to 4 rental properties a year, and this was the best ever. So well equipped, with every essential a family would need. Top of the line furniture and appliances. Stunning decor, but still comfortable. The pool was well maintained, and the kayak and paddle boards were appreciated. The lake is lovely, and this area is very upscale, with the shore line dotted with beautiful properties. Hope to return again, as the property manager was accessible and very professional. Thanks to the owner and Debi for sharing this beautiful property with our family.

The inside and rear of the property were beautiful. Lake Oconee is beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped. The outdoor kitchen was well-equipped. The seating on the dock was peaceful and serene. We got an opportunity to try out paddleboards and a kayak for the first time. The property is conveniently located near restaurants, grocery stores, and q marina.

This home is exactly as pictured and described on the website. It was too chilly (in December) to enjoy the generous patio and pool space, but we were quite comfortable indoors. The main room has an ample and comfy couch, nice dining area and well equipped kitchen to gather, cook and socialize. Having 3 King sized beds was especially appealing for our family. Our mom was comfortable in the room with a queen bed. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was first rate! Location, view inside of house, outside of house, dock! The online description was on point. The yard guy was finishing up when we arrived and the pool guy arrived soon after. The pool was in perfect condition. The property manage was almost better than the house! She responded to a couple questions within 10 minutes each time. I highly recommend this property during anytime of the year! We cooked our meals and the Publix was just minutes away.

What a GREAT vacation! We rented Knot Your Average Lake House from 7/29 - 8/5/22. The house easily accommodated our 6 adults plus kids aged 8, 10, 11, and 13. The bedrooms are spacious, everything is new, the pool is perfect, dock setup fantastic, outdoor living space AMAZING, and centrally located to shopping, dining, etc. The loft was a great escape for the kids as well. The few minor issues we had were rectified quickly and correctly, and any questions we had were responded to promptly. The pool was spectacular and despite being in a wooded area there were very few leaves, pine needles, etc each morning that were easily removed either by skimming the top and/or using the electric pool cleaner (which was a godsend). Our only gripe, which is no fault of the owner, is that it’s very shallow at the end of the dock so no jumping off the dock and if you rent any type of motorized boat then you need to be careful docking. However, this was offset by the fact the kids could walk out 100 feet or more and still be well below neck deep in the water. For those unfamiliar with Lake Oconee, North Georgia is known for it’s red clay so don’t expect crystal clear water especially near the shores. Also, there are very few restaurants and generally no other activities (bowling, mini golf, souvenirs, etc) to find in the area although there’s a Publix, Dairy Queen, movie theater, and some quaint shops. Any minor drawbacks were all offset by the time we spent on the lake, which was nearly empty of other boats this time of year. In short, after my 11 year old son asked if we could come back to Georgia and I said maybe another house or lake just to try something different he said “No Dad, I want to come back to THIS house next year!” Thanks for everything, we’ll definitely be back!

I plan a vacation for our family of 6 adults/3 teens each year, and we all agreed that this year was THE BEST EVER! Beautiful house! Beautiful setting! The back porch is so spacious and overlooks the pool, lovely yard, and lake view. It’s only a short distance to the dock. Flat manicured lawn.This beautifully decorated home has it all! The house has an open living, dining, kitchen area and there’s an additional living loft with a full bath. All total 4 bedrooms and 5 full bathrooms. Everyone has plenty of space. But, the outdoor living space, pool and lake is where everyone will want to be most of the time. My grandchildren enjoyed the paddle boards, and we brought a boat for pulling rafts and going to the “jumping rock”which is a short boat ride. Not to mention , the location is so convenient to EVERYTHING! This house is top of the line and will not disappoint! It’s appropriately named, “Knot Your Average Lake House.” HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!

What a great stay!! House is beautifully located on the lake. Spacious gorgeous home with a fabulous outside living area. We enjoyed the pool when we were not on the lake. Yard was great for outside games. We made lasting fun memories here and it’s at the top of our list for Lake Oconee. We vacation here every year. Dock is nice for housing our boat and jet skis. We for sure want to come back to this location:)

This home had so much to offer... the view was spectacular (wide water) with a great yard! The porch and pool area were rare and gorgeous. The house was fully equipped and everything is brand new. We didn't want to leave. This house is so much better than any rental we have stayed at in the past. The location is perfect. It was so close to go to movies, restaurants, shopping. I can't think of a single thing we would change. We will definately be back.
