About this cabin rental
Camden Lodge Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' Camden Lodge encompasses everything that's special about Midcoast Maine. Truly located where the mountains meet the water, this home sits next to Ragged Mountain, overlooks Mount Battie and Hosmer Pond, and is mere minutes from the heart of downtown Camden. This home sits on almost two acres of land, well landscaped with large, mature trees and a spacious lawn. A deck wraps around the house, offering a perfect spot to take in the views of the mountains and pond and find peace and quiet at any time of day. The first floor is bright and open, with windows wrapping around the majority of the rooms on this level. The large kitchen features a brick floor, custom wood countertops, and professional-grade appliances; it's fully equipped with eating space at the island and in the adjacent dining area. The beautiful living room has plentiful seating that can play host to different activities and custom cabinets that conceal a large flatscreen TV, games, and puzzles. A sectional sofa separates this living area from a more intimate sitting area that's great for reading or chatting. The first floor also has a powder room and a laundry room. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, each of which has vaulted ceilings and a beautiful view of the property. The primary bedroom overlooks the front lawn, the mountains, and Homser Pond; the second bedroom overlooks the backyard; and the third bedroom overlooks the side yard. The bathroom on the second floor is truly an experience with a large custom shower made of river rocks. Camden Lodge is not too big and not too small - it would be as comfortable for two people as it is for six. It feels cozy, open, and comfortable and affords a vacation experience like no other. Beautiful view of the lake from roomy deck. Well-built, well- appointed home filled with sailing books and decor. Plenty of room for the family to spread out. Comfortable beds. The only negatives were no direct lake access and the house could get a little warm inside. We would definitely go back!

Spacious, great location (not ideal lake access, however), very good, chef-friendly kitchen (minus the broken ice maker/door water dispenser). Beds are comfortable. Well furnished. Portable AC units could’ve have been better set up. Puppy had plenty of running room outside.

No hair dryers, TV did not work and there were no instructions, not even a hand towel in the 1/2 bath, piece-meal furniture..not like the photos, no hand juicer for kitchen, only one small skillet, ice maker and water dispenser did not work, no wine glasses nor even plain glasses without logos, no lobster crackers or tools, no small bowls for condiments to meals, no instructions of how to use the portable air conditioners or even to put them together, the house is not even close to the water as photos indicate, no instructions of how to retrieve the house key…other than to insert a code, weeds surrounded house.

The house was hotter on the inside than the outside. Thank goodness the property manger left us a portable air conditioner for our bedroom. Our guest were not so lucky and had rooms with no air movement and temps of 79 degrees first thing in the morning. Very uncomfortable.
The neighbors dog does not like bike riders and bit my husband while on his bike. The neighbors other dog would come into our rental and bark at us twice.
The final week was with plumbing issues. The toilets, shower, upstairs sink all did not work several times over the week. The downstairs only had cold water. The plumber came 4 times. The owners once and a water filtration tech came once and the problem continued. The property manager offered compensation but we have not seen anything.

Maine getaway
Fantastic house with a lake view 10 minutes from Camden. Perfect for hiking, biking and paddle boarding. Very comfortable home. Hope to return next year.

We really enjoyed staying in this cottage. It was very comfortable, well laid out and equipped. It was well maintained and clean and about 8 minutes drive from Camden. It had a beautiful garden with views of the lake and an enormous deck which we loved just sitting on. We enjoyed hiking, biking and paddle boarding whilst in the area. There was so much to do in the vicinity. Camden is a real gem, the state park is amazing and the lakes in the area are beautiful. We also liked Belfast and other towns along the coast. Owl’s head lighthouse was also another highlight. The food in the area was delicious. Oysters and lobster at Lincolnville Beach, blueberry pancakes, ice cream and baked goods in Camden, farm to table food in Belfast. The weather was so delightful and the whole experience was so refreshing that we left our vacation feeling truly relaxed. Definitely hope to return next year. The property was as described in the listing - close to Camden and overlooking a lovely lake, though without water access. The house is well-stocked and updated. The beginning our visit coincided with a 90+ heat wave and the house, like many if not most Maine vacation homes, has no AC and was therefore stifling hot. When temps returned to the 70s & 80s, "normal" for Maine, the house was very comfortable. The house has a wonderful wrap-around porch that we would have liked to take advantage of - there were a few uncomfortable plastic Adirondack-style chairs but the house would greatly benefit from some sturdy, comfortable deck chairs and an outdoor dining table.
Overall, I would recommend this house, and would stay in it again if my summer plans take me back to the area.
