Very hard to find, elevator didn’t work, no hot water, hassle using spa.

The condo is at a perfect location in Northstar Village. It is cozy but well-organized with everything you need. The one or two minor things we contacted the owner regarding were quickly addressed. We enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!

Great spot right in the village close to Copper Lane! Clean and had everything we needed for a quick stay.

Walking distance from the gondola. You can walk straight across to the commissary and grab some breakfast or drinks. I would defiantly stay here again and would recommend it to friends.

Heater/thermostat didn’t work, it’s ancient. Microwave doesn’t work. Refrigerator doesn’t work. Mattress and box spring are stained and torn, look like they were picked up from side if the road. No amenities provided whatsoever, no glasses, dishes, bowls, napkins, not even paper or plastic products. No coffee. No instructions on TV operation, parking pass, or any other useful info. I could go on and on. Do not rent this unit, the owner clearly has no idea what it is to be a host.

The convenience of staying right in northstar village can’t be beat, and the room was comfortable if a bit small and basic. We found a few minor things needed repair but it didn’t affect our stay very much. There were no instructions provided about where to find the hot tub, rec center, or other amenities so ask about this ahead of time if you want to use them.

Loved the location and convenience of this place. It was clean and comfortable. Like a nice hotel room, close to restaurants, lifts, etc. The one parking spot is great. You do need to move your car after check out on the last day so be aware if you plan to stay and ski after check out. Recommend!

Great, parking was hard to find at first

Had a very relaxing few days. Loved the ability to walk downstairs right into food and shopping. There were 3 remote controls for the Tv and I’m still not sure what they’re for. There was also an “access key card” but I have no idea what it accesses. We arrived at about 8 pm and could not find the parking spot or even the correct building. The doorway entry code was not entirely listed correctly so it also took quite a while to figure out how to get into the condo.
Other than that first night, everything was great!!

The place is small. Especially the bathroom. Wish they can remove the closet and use that space for the bathroom too. Cups are dirty, unable to use any of the. Turn off the heater but still hot, I guess it’s from the building. The building is old but overall the place is good and clean other than the dirty cups.

The unit was great. The housekeeping staff had the unit in perfect condition, with a sweet welcome note.
We paid a significant premium to rent this unit on the weekend. The unit is fine, nothing special, but in perfectly good shape. The only reason this unit commands a high price is for the convenient access to skiing in the Northstar Village.
In advance of our stay, we asked if, on our checkout day, we could clear out of the room in the morning, put our things in the car, and then leave the car in the reserved spot until we were done skiing. I said we would be happy to move the car in advance of the check-in time for the next guest. I have rented at Northstar over a dozen times and have never been denied this courtesy. We are happy to clear out by 10am so that the housekeeping staff can prepare the room for the next guests, but we would have appreciated being able to take advantage of the convenience for which we paid so much. Nope.
Instead, on Sunday morning, we:
- got up an extra hour early
- moved a bunch of stuff to the car
- drove the car to a less convenient lot (still a $40 fee on the weekend)
- went back to the room, got ready for skiing
- hiked back to the car (in ski boots) to drop off shoes and last minute items
- went skiing
- trekked back to the car in ski boots at the end of the day
I expect that the management will respond to this and say the checkout time was clear in the rental agreement, and I will acknowledge that. However, I think it’s ridiculously stingy of them to deny us this courtesy, given the amount of money we pay. And again, the only reason we paid for this unit was for the convenience.
I’ll make sure to arrange this in advance from a different host next time, so I’ve learned my lesson, but I can’t recommend renting from this host, who is not interested in taking care of the customers who pay them their highest rates.

The room was clean and convenient for our purposes (ski Northstar). But, I wouldn't stay here longer than a couple of days. It was very small with a microwave and mini fridge. Not a lot of space to sit, or to store any extras we brought. (think place to store suitcase, waters etc...Any eating we did in the room was sitting on a small stool or chair. The only place to lounge was on the bed. This is a great space for a couple of active people who do not plan on spending too much time in the room.

Location is great, I kept getting texts from Vacasa asking if everything was ok

It took us 24 hours to track down a parking pass and the plumbing was a mess. The toilet did not flush, even after just going pee. We tried the plunger with no success.
Bummer as the location was great, the room was cute, and the price seemed fair.

Perfect stay
This apartment is the perfect example of how simple it is to make a small place charming and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come again. Fabulous location made the whole trip a breeze. Perfect for 2 people but a family of 4 who is out and busy all day could do it as well. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great location close to Gondola
This is a decent room like one that you would find in a mid-level hotel. Two comfy beds, TV, microwave and mini fridge. It is on the second floor with a view from the balcony. It is very near the stairs to your reserved parking spot, which is covered. There’s no kitchen, but you are within walking distance of some decent food options. If you don’t require a lot of amenities, but just want to walk to the gondola and get on some good snow, this is a nice option. We have been here twice and plan on returning soon.

Perfectly Located
Great studio right in the Northstar Village. Cozy but well maintained. Private, covered parking spot to avoid shuttle or parking issues. Wake up and walk over to the lifts, super convenient.

This room is great if you are just planning a short stay for a weekend or so. There is no kitchen to speak of, but a fridge to hold Gatorade, wine or beer as needed. Starbucks is right across the street for morning coffee.
One minor item: the heater should be really more or less off as the building keeps the warmth well contained and there is no airflow in the unit unless you open the sliding glass door.

Great Location
Short walk to the Gondola and the whole Village. Very clean.

Parking spot was in the garage at the back. Was difficult to see the number due to the number being on the opposite side of the pillar. Spot was great and right near the elevator. Room was a little warm but we left the sliding door ajar and that worked great. I would definitely stay again. Walking distance to the gondola.

Truckee Northstar condo
The condo is a basic hotel room style, but in a great location and reasonably priced. We did have trouble finding the address, the directions about where to park and how to use a parking hangtag were wrong or incomplete, the instructions for how to unlock the door were wrong, and the "swamp cooler" in the room was broken. The property manager was very responsive, as long as I contacted Vrbo first. When I tried to contact the manager directly (because she gave me her number), she didn't return my messages. Despite all that we enjoyed our stay!
